Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a battery module. Specifically, the present invention relates to a battery module that holds a plurality of single cells in a restricted state.
Battery modules equipped with single cells such as lithium ion secondary batteries and nickel hydrogen batteries are becoming increasingly important as power supplies for vehicles mounted with electricity as a driving source, or power supplies for personal computers and portable devices. ing. In particular, a battery module using a lithium ion secondary battery, which is light in weight and capable of obtaining a high energy density, as a single battery is for driving a vehicle such as an electric vehicle (EV), a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHV) or a hybrid vehicle (HV). It is preferable as a high output power source, and it is expected that demand will continue to expand in the future.
As a typical configuration of such a battery module, there is one in which a plurality of single cells are stacked, and the battery module is configured to be restrained in a state where a predetermined load is applied in the stacking direction. Such restraint of the unit cells is mainly performed from the viewpoints of the vibration resistance and shock resistance of the battery module, and the battery performance securing. However, in such a battery module, a part of the unit cell expands and contracts when the battery is used (during charge and discharge) or the battery module ages and is added to the unit cell at the time of construction of the battery module. The size of the restraining load may change, and the pressure applied to the unit cell needs to be adjusted according to the change in the restraining load. Patent documents 1 and 2 are mentioned as conventional technology literature about this kind of technology.
However, there is still room for improvement in the method of adjusting the restraint pressure of the battery module in these conventional techniques. In particular, at the time of use (charge and discharge) of the battery module, the edge of the stacked surface is smaller than the central portion of the surfaces (hereinafter referred to as “stacked surface”) facing each other in the stacked direction of the stacked single cells. In the case of a battery module using a single cell which tends to be greatly expanded and shrunk, there is a possibility that sufficient restraint pressure control can not be achieved in the entire area of the laminated surface of the single cell by the prior art, resulting in a decrease in battery performance. was there.
The present invention has been made in view of such a point, and the restraint pressure applied to each stacked unit cell is suitably controlled in the entire area of the stacking surface of the unit cell, thereby suppressing the deterioration of the battery performance. To provide a battery module that can be
According to the present invention, it is arranged in at least one of a laminated body in which a plurality of single-electric lands are stacked, a gap between the stacked single cells, and one end and the other end in the stacking direction. There is provided a battery module comprising a pressure control member for controlling the pressure applied in the stacking direction of the stack. The pressure adjusting member is provided with a back plate, a frame portion protruding from one surface of the back plate and formed along the peripheral edge portion of the back plate, and the frame portion of the back plate. And a plurality of projections formed on the same surface as the surface and formed inside the frame portion. At least the frame portion and the projection of the pressure adjusting member are formed of a material exhibiting rubber elasticity. Further, the pressure adjustment member is disposed such that the frame portion and the projection face the side on which the laminate is positioned. Here, when the battery module is viewed from the stacking direction, an outer periphery of a stacking surface of the stacked single cells is disposed in a region where the frame portion is formed.
According to this configuration, during use of the battery module, even if the cells constituting the module expand and contract in the stacking direction, the pressure applied in the stacking direction of the stacked body is suitably adjusted and less likely to fluctuate. Moreover, according to such a configuration, the configuration of the battery module is simplified, so that the battery module can be made compact. Furthermore, according to such a configuration, a suitable restraint pressure can be applied to the edge of the laminated surface of each unit cell by the frame portion of the pressure adjustment member, so that deterioration of the unit cell due to local expansion and contraction is achieved. It is possible to realize a battery module capable of suppressing and suppressing a decrease in battery performance.

<単電池>

Also, the
The

酸化物系固体電解質としては、La0.51Li0.34TiO2.94、Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7(PO4)3、Li7La3Zr2O12等が例示される。

FIG. 4 is a schematic view schematically showing a cross section taken along line IV-IV 'of FIG. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the
According to this configuration, the
a ≧ b ≧ a/2 (1)
FIG. 5 is a view for explaining the arrangement and size of the
a b b a a / 2 (1)
When the distance b is smaller than half the diameter a (ie, a / 2), the
