カソード側セパレータと、
アノード電極触媒層とカソード電極触媒層が電解質膜に設けられることで構成され、前記アノード側セパレータと前記カソード側セパレータとの間に位置する電解質膜・電極構造体と、
前記カソード側セパレータと前記電解質膜・電極構造体とで挟持され、前記カソード電極触媒層を囲繞するシール部材と、
前記シール部材よりも高硬度であり、且つ前記シール部材を外方から囲繞する耐圧部材と、
前記シール部材と前記耐圧部材との間に介在し、前記シール部材からの押圧を受けて前記電解質膜・電極構造体に圧力を付与する面圧付与部材と、
を有することを特徴とする。

Claims (4)
- アノード側セパレータと、
カソード側セパレータと、
アノード電極触媒層とカソード電極触媒層が電解質膜に設けられることで構成され、前記アノード側セパレータと前記カソード側セパレータとの間に位置する電解質膜・電極構造体と、
前記カソード側セパレータと前記電解質膜・電極構造体とで挟持され、前記カソード電極触媒層を囲繞するシール部材と、
前記シール部材よりも高硬度であり、且つ前記シール部材を外方から囲繞する耐圧部材と、
前記シール部材と前記耐圧部材との間に介在し、前記シール部材からの押圧を受けて前記電解質膜・電極構造体に圧力を付与する面圧付与部材と、
を有することを特徴とする水電解装置。 - 請求項1記載の水電解装置において、前記面圧付与部材は、前記電解質膜・電極構造体に当接する第1当接面と、前記耐圧部材に当接する第2当接面と、前記シール部材に当接する第3当接面とを有し、前記第3当接面は、該第3当接面と前記第1当接面との交差角が鋭角となるように傾斜していることを特徴とする水電解装置。
- 請求項2記載の水電解装置において、前記面圧付与部材は、その断面が、前記第1当接面をなす第1辺、前記第2当接面をなす第2辺、前記第3当接面をなし前記第1辺と前記第2辺の双方に連なる第3辺を有する略三角形をなし、前記第2辺の長さは前記第1辺よりも小さく、且つ前記耐圧部材の高さの1/2よりも小さいことを特徴とする水電解装置。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の水電解装置において、前記カソード電極触媒層と前記シール部材との間に、カソード電極触媒層で生成された水素が進入する圧力付与室を備えることを特徴とする水電解装置。
