Abstract
Description
図1(A)は本発明の一態様の電子デバイスを表す図である。本発明の一態様の電子デバイスは、陽極10、陰極11およびそれらに挟まれた有機化合物を含む層12を有している。
これら導電性材料は、真空蒸着法やスパッタリング法などの乾式法、インクジェット法、スピンコート法等を用いて成膜することが可能である。また、ゾル−ゲル法を用いて湿式法で形成しても良いし、金属材料のペーストを用いて湿式法で形成してもよい。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1に記載の発光素子を用いた発光装置について説明する。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1に記載の発光素子を照明装置として用いる例を図6を参照しながら説明する。図6(B)は照明装置の上面図、図6(A)は図6(B)におけるe−f断面図である。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1に記載の発光素子をその一部に含む電子機器の例について説明する。実施の形態1に記載の発光素子は寿命が良好であり、信頼性の良好な発光素子である。その結果、本実施の形態に記載の電子機器は、信頼性の良好な発光部を有する電子機器とすることが可能である。
まず、ガラス基板上に、酸化珪素を含むインジウム錫酸化物(ITSO)をスパッタリング法にて成膜し、陽極101を形成した。なお、その膜厚は70nmとし、電極面積は2mm×2mmとした。
比較発光素子1−1は、発光素子1における正孔注入層111を、DBT3P−IIと酸化モリブデン(VI)とを重量比で2:0.5(=DBT3P−II:酸化モリブデン)となるように50nm共蒸着して形成した他は、発光素子1と同様に作製した。
比較発光素子1−2は、発光素子1における正孔注入層111を、DBT3P−IIと酸化モリブデン(VI)とを重量比で2:0.5(=DBT3P−II:酸化モリブデン)となるように55nm共蒸着して形成した他は、発光素子1と同様に作製した。
比較発光素子1−3は、発光素子1における正孔注入層111を、CaFとm−MTDATAと酸化モリブデン(VI)とを重量比で3:1:0.5(=CaF:m−MTDATA:酸化モリブデン)となるように50nm共蒸着して形成した他は発光素子1と同様に作製した。

発光素子3は、発光素子2における正孔注入層111の第1の層をDBT3P−IIと、CuPcと、酸化モリブデン(IV)とを重量比で1:1:1(=DBT3P−II:CuPc:酸化モリブデン)となるように50nm共蒸着して形成した他は、発光素子2と同様に作製した。
比較発光素子3−1は、発光素子3の正孔注入層111における第2の層を設けず、正孔注入層111を第1の層のみで構成した他は発光素子3と同様に作製した。
発光素子4は発光素子2における正孔注入層111の第1の層を、DBT3P−IIと、CuPcと、酸化モリブデン(IV)とを重量比で0.5:1.5:1(=DBT3P−II:CuPc:酸化モリブデン)となるように50nm共蒸着して形成した他は、発光素子2と同様に作製した。
比較発光素子4−1は、発光素子4の正孔注入層111における第2の層を設けず、正孔注入層111を第1の層のみで構成した他は発光素子4と同様に作製した。
比較発光素子5は発光素子2における正孔注入層111の第1の層を、DBT3P−IIと酸化モリブデン(IV)とを重量比で2:1(=DBT3P−II:酸化モリブデン)となるように50nm共蒸着して形成した他は、発光素子2と同様に作製した。
比較発光素子5−1は発光素子5の正孔注入層111における第2の層を設けず、正孔注入層111を第1の層のみで構成した他は比較発光素子5と同様に作製した。

参考発光素子6−1は、発光素子6における正孔注入層111を、PCPPnと酸化モリブデン(VI)を重量比2:0.5(=PCPPn:酸化モリブデン)となるように50nm共蒸着して形成した他は発光素子6と同様に作製した。
比較発光素子6−2は、発光素子6における第1の層をPCPPnと酸化モリブデン(VI)を重量比2:0.5(=PCPPn:酸化モリブデン)となるように50nm共蒸着して形成した他は発光素子6と同様に作製した。
参考発光素子6−3は発光素子6における第2の層を形成しない構造とした他は発光素子6と同様に形成した。

前記第1の層には、正孔輸送性を有する第1の有機化合物と、前記第1の有機化合物にアクセプタ性を示す物質が含まれており、
前記第2の層には、正孔輸送性を有する第2の有機化合物と、前記第2の有機化合物にアクセプタ性を示す物質が含まれており、
前記第1の層が、前記第2の有機化合物および前記第2の有機化合物にアクセプタ性を示す物質とは異なる物質を有する電子デバイス。 - 陽極と、
