Abstract
Description
本出願は、米国特許法第119条に基づき、「二酸化塩素を使用して乾燥を向上させるためのシステムおよび方法(SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING CHLORINE DIOXIDE TO ENHANCE DRYING)」と題して2015年9月17日に出願された米国特許仮出願第62/219,913号の利益を請求するものであり、その全開示は、あらゆる目的で、参照によりその全内容が本明細書に組み込まれる。
Claims (15)
- 廃水処理システムにおいてスラッジまたはバイオソリッドを処理する方法であって、
スラッジまたはバイオソリッドを二酸化塩素で処理することによって前処理バイオソリッドを形成するステップと、
前処理バイオソリッドを脱水することによって脱水バイオソリッドをもたらすステップと、
脱水バイオソリッドを乾燥することによって乾燥バイオソリッドをもたらすステップとを含む、方法。 - 廃水処理システム用の燃料源として乾燥バイオソリッドを導入するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 乾燥バイオソリッドの乾燥固体含量が、少なくとも約70%である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 廃水処理システムに、脱水バイオソリッドを乾燥するための唯一の燃料源として乾燥バイオソリッドを導入するステップをさらに含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 脱水バイオソリッドを乾燥するステップが、脱水バイオソリッドを乾燥機に通すステップを含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 脱水バイオソリッドの乾燥固体含量が、約16%〜約40%である、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 乾燥バイオソリッドを燃焼させるステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 乾燥バイオソリッドを燃焼させるステップが、焼却を含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前処理バイオソリッドが、米国環境保護庁規則によるクラスBバイオソリッド基準を達成する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 乾燥バイオソリッドが、米国環境保護庁規則によるクラスAバイオソリッド基準を達成する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 二酸化塩素の投与量が、約40ppm〜約60ppmである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- スラッジのレオロジーを変更することによって自由水および結合水の除去を促進するための方法であって、
二酸化塩素をスラッジに添加することによってスラッジのゼータ電位を中性値に向けて変えるステップと、
スラッジを脱水することによって脱水バイオソリッドをもたらすステップと、
脱水バイオソリッドを乾燥することによって乾燥バイオソリッドをもたらすステップとを含む、方法。 - スラッジまたはバイオソリッドを処理するためのシステムであって、
スラッジまたはバイオソリッドの供給源に流体連結した二酸化塩素投与システムと、
二酸化塩素投与システムの下流にある脱水装置と、
脱水装置に流体連結し、脱水装置の下流にある乾燥機とを備える、システム。 - 脱水装置が、遠心分離機である、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 遠心分離機の下流、乾燥機の上流に位置し、スラッジを加熱乾燥に導入する前にその粒度分布を変えない輸送機を備える、請求項13に記載のシステム。
