Abstract
Description
本出願は、2015年5月21日に出願された、SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THERMALLY ADAPTIVE MATERIALSと題された、米国仮特許出願第62/164,740号の非仮出願であり、その優先権を主張し、その全体があらゆる目的のために参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。本出願はまた、2015年11月18日に出願された、SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THERMALLY ADAPTIVE MATERIALSと題された、米国仮特許出願第62/257,126号の非仮出願であり、その優先権を主張し、その全体があらゆる目的のために参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。

Claims (20)
- 利用者に着用されその身体を囲むように構成された熱適応性衣服であって、前記熱適応性衣服は、
熱適応性布地によって画定された衣服本体を備え、前記熱適応性布地は、
着用している利用者の身体に面するように構成された内面と、
前記着用している利用者に対して外部の環境に面するように構成された外面と、
前記外面の少なくとも一部分を画定している第1の布地層と、
前記内面の少なくとも一部分を画定し、1つ以上の結合継ぎ目において前記第1の布地層に結合された第2の布地層と、
前記第1の布地層及び前記第2の布地層ならびに前記1つ以上の結合継ぎ目によって画定され、これらの中に配設された複数のキャビティと、を含み、
前記第1の布地層は、第1の環境温度範囲に応答して、前記第1の布地層が第1の平均距離だけ前記第2の布地層から離されている、基本構成をとるように構成され、
前記第1の布地層は、前記第1の環境温度範囲とは別の第2の環境温度範囲に応答して、前記第1の布地層が前記第1の平均距離よりも大きな第2の平均距離だけ前記第2の布地層から離されている、山なり構成をとるように構成されている、熱適応性衣服。 - 前記第1の層と前記第2の層との間の前記平均距離は、前記環境温度が、前記第1の環境温度範囲との差が大きくなるほど、前記第2の温度範囲内の温度に応答して大きくなる、請求項1に記載の熱適応性衣服。
- 前記衣服本体は、前記第2の環境温度範囲に隣接し、前記第1の環境温度範囲とは別の第3の環境温度範囲を機械的に画定し、前記第1の層と前記第2の層との間の前記増大した平均距離は、前記衣服本体の物理的構成による最大距離に制約される、請求項2に記載の熱適応性衣服。
- 前記第2の環境温度範囲の前記温度は、前記第1の環境温度範囲の前記温度よりも低い、請求項1に記載の熱適応性衣服。
- 前記第1の布地層は、第1の長さを画定する第1の材料を含み、前記第1の材料は、第1の熱膨張係数に従って前記第2の環境温度範囲内の温度変化に応答して、前記第1の長さに沿って次第に膨張するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の熱適応性衣服。
- 前記第1の布地層は、前記第1の長さに対して平行である第2の長さを画定する第2の材料を含み、前記第2の材料は、前記第1の熱膨張係数とは異なる第2の熱膨張係数に従って前記第2の環境温度範囲内の温度変化に応答して、前記第2の長さに沿って次第に膨張するように構成されている、請求項5に記載の熱適応性衣服。
- 前記第1の材料及び前記第2の材料は、実質的に平坦であり、結合平面に沿って一緒に結合されている、請求項6に記載の熱適応性衣服。
- 前記第1の材料及び前記第2の材料は、前記第1の長さ及び前記第2の長さに対して直交する、それぞれ第1の幅及び第2の幅を画定し、前記第1の幅及び前記第2の幅は、前記第2の環境温度範囲内の温度変化に応答して、実質的に同一のままである、請求項6に記載の熱適応性衣服。
- 熱適応性布地であって、
第1の長さを画定する布地層を備え、前記布地層は、第1の温度範囲に応答して平坦基本構成をとり、第2の温度範囲に応答して、前記布地層が前記基本構成と比較して前記第1の長さに沿って湾曲されている、山なり構成をとるように構成され、前記布地層は、
第2の長さを画定し、第1の熱膨張係数を有する第1の材料であって、前記第2の環境温度範囲内の温度変化に応答して前記第2の長さに沿って、長さを次第に増大させるように構成されている、第1の材料と、
第3の長さを画定し、前記第1の熱膨張係数とは異なる第2の熱膨張係数を有する第2の材料と、を含む、熱適応性布地。 - 前記第1の材料は、温度変化にそれぞれ反対方向に応答するように構成された交互のヘテロキラル部分及びホモキラル部分を含む少なくとも1つのコイル状アクチュエータを備える、請求項9に記載の熱適応性布地。
- 前記第1の布地層は、10℃の温度変化に応答して5%以下の面積における変化を示すように構成されている、請求項9に記載の熱適応性布地。
- 前記第1の材料及び前記第2の材料は、複数の織り込み、ならびにそれぞれ第1の繊維及び第2の繊維を画定する、請求項9に記載の熱適応性布地。
- 前記第1の材料は、前記第1の長さに沿って収縮または膨張するように構成された熱適応性コイルを備える、請求項9に記載の熱適応性布地。
- 前記第1の材料は、平坦シートを備える、請求項9に記載の熱適応性布地。
- 適応性シートであって、
第1の長さを画定する層を備え、前記第1の層は、第1の環境条件に応答して基本構成をとり、第2の環境条件に応答して、前記第1の層が前記基本構成と比較して前記第1の長さに沿って湾曲されている、山なり構成をとるように構成され、前記第1の層は、
第2の長さを画定し、第1の膨張係数を有する第1の材料であって、前記第2の環境条件に応答して前記第2の長さに沿って長さを変化させるように構成されている、第1の材料と、
第3の長さを画定し、前記第1の膨張係数とは異なる第2の膨張係数を有する第2の材料と、を含む、適応性シート。 - 前記第1の環境条件は、第1の温度範囲を含み、前記第2の環境条件は、前記第1の温度範囲とは別であり前記第1の温度範囲よりも低い温度を含む第2の温度範囲を含む、請求項15に記載の適応性シート。
- 前記第1の環境条件は、第1の水分範囲を含み、前記第2の環境条件は、前記第1の水分範囲とは別である第2の水分範囲を含む、請求項15に記載の適応性シート。
- 前記第1の布地層は、少なくとも第1の方向に配設された第1の複数のワイヤを備え、前記第2の布地層は、前記第1の方向に対して平行ではない少なくとも第2の方向において配設された第2の複数のワイヤを備え、前記第1の複数のワイヤ及び前記第2の複数のワイヤは、分離構成における前記第1の複数のワイヤ及び前記第2の複数のワイヤの反射性及び吸収特性とは異なる赤外線反射性及び吸収特性を有するワイヤメッシュを形成するために前記基本構成において結合するように構成されている、請求項15に記載の熱適応性布地。
- 前記第1の適応性材料及び前記第2の適応性材料は、織布地の一部分を画定する、請求項15に記載の適応性シート。
- 前記第1の適応性材料及び前記第2の適応性材料は、編布地の一部分を画定する、請求項15に記載の適応性シート。
