Abstract
Description
本出願は、2015年4月30日出願の米国仮特許出願第62/155,007号明細書に対する優先権を主張する、2015年6月12日出願の米国特許出願第14/737,533号明細書に対する優先権を主張する一部継続出願である、2016年4月19日出願の米国特許出願第15/132,464号明細書に対する優先権を主張する。
Claims (20)
- 車両の排気系用の混合器であって、
混合器中心軸を画定し、かつエンジン排ガスを受け入れるように構成された入口と出口とを有する混合器本体と;
前記混合器本体内に位置決めされた上流バッフルと;
前記混合器中心軸に沿った方向において前記上流バッフルから離間されるように前記混合器本体内に位置決めされた下流バッフルと;
投与器軸を画定し、かつ前記上流バッフルと前記下流バッフルとの間の領域に還元剤を噴霧するように位置決めされ、それにより、還元剤と排ガスとの混合物は前記出口を出る、投与器と
を含み、
前記混合物は、前記出口を出る前に少なくとも360度である回転流路を通して移動する、混合器。 - 前記上流バッフルは、第1の部分と、前記第1の部分から前記混合器中心軸に沿った方向にオフセットされた第2の部分と、前記第1の部分から前記第2の部分へ移行する第3の部分とを含み、前記上流バッフルは、少なくとも1つの主入口開口部を含み、
前記下流バッフルは、第1の部分と、前記第1の部分から前記混合器中心軸に沿った方向にオフセットされた第2の部分と、前記第1の部分から前記第2の部分へ移行する第3の部分とを含み、前記下流バッフルは、少なくとも1つの主出口開口部を含む、請求項1に記載の混合器。 - 前記主入口開口部から前記主出口開口部へ直接的な流れが直接流れることを阻止するために、前記上流バッフルと前記下流バッフルとの間に位置決めされた中板を含み、前記中板は、前記主入口開口部を出る排ガスを、前記主出口開口部を出る前に前記混合器中心軸の周りで360度以上回転させて誘導する回転流路を開始する、請求項2に記載の混合器。
- 前記混合器本体内において前記下流バッフルの下流に位置決めされた延長バッフルを含み、前記延長バッフルは、少なくとも1つの延長バッフル主出口開口部を含み、それにより、前記上流バッフルと前記下流バッフルとの間の前記投与器軸における上流箇所から、前記延長バッフル主出口開口部の中心軸における下流箇所まで、前記混合物は少なくとも390度回転する、請求項2に記載の混合器。
- 前記延長バッフルは、ベースの外周縁から上流方向に円周壁部分が延在するほぼ平坦なベースを含み、前記ベースは、前記混合器中心軸付近に中心を有し、かつ前記円周壁部分へ向かう方向に外側へ広がり、前記ベースは、前記中心から半径方向外向きに延在する第1の縁と、前記中心から半径方向外向きに延在しかつ前記第1の縁から円周方向に離間された第2の縁とによって画定されている、請求項4に記載の混合器。
- 前記第1の縁と前記第2の縁との間に画定される角度は少なくとも90度である、請求項5に記載の混合器。
- 前記第1の縁と前記第2の縁との間に画定される角度は少なくとも180度であり、それにより、前記混合物は少なくとも480度回転する、請求項5に記載の混合器。
- 前記第1の縁は、前記延長バッフルの入口側または上流側を含み、および前記第2の縁は、前記延長バッフルの出口側または下流側を含み、放射状壁部分は、前記平坦なベースの前記第2の縁から前記上流方向に延在し、前記放射状壁部分は前記延長バッフル主出口開口部を含む、請求項5に記載の混合器。
- 前記延長バッフルは、前記ベースに形成された少なくとも1つの副開口部を含み、前記副開口部は前記延長バッフル主出口開口部よりも小さい、請求項8に記載の混合器。
- 前記少なくとも1つの副開口部は、前記ベースから離れる方に延在するリップによって取り囲まれて、前記延長バッフルの材料厚さの少なくとも3倍であるリップ高さを画定する、請求項9に記載の混合器。
- 前記延長バッフルの前記第1の縁は、前記混合器中心軸に沿った方向において前記下流バッフルの前記主出口開口部とほぼ位置合わせされる、請求項5に記載の混合器。
- 前記上流バッフルおよび前記下流バッフルの少なくとも一方は、リップを含む少なくとも1つの副開口部を含み、前記リップは、前記上流バッフルおよび前記下流バッフルのそれぞれ1つから離れる方に延在して、前記上流バッフルおよび前記下流バッフルの前記それぞれ1つの材料厚さの少なくとも3倍であるリップ高さを画定する、請求項2に記載の混合器。
- 前記上流バッフルの前記第1の部分は第1の平坦面を含み、前記第2の部分は、前記第1の平坦面よりも小さい第2の平坦面を含み、および前記第3の部分は、前記第1の平坦面から前記第2の平坦面へ移行するらせん面を含み、前記上流バッフルは、前記第1の平坦面と前記第2の平坦面との間に延在する垂直壁部分を含み、前記垂直壁部分は前記少なくとも1つの主入口開口部を含む、請求項2に記載の混合器。
- 前記少なくとも1つの主入口開口部は、前記垂直壁部分に形成された少なくとも3つの入口開口部を含む、請求項13に記載の混合器。
- 前記第1の平坦面は、前記上流バッフルの少なくとも半分を含む、請求項13に記載の混合器。
- 前記上流バッフルは、前記第1の平坦面内にのみ形成される複数の副入口開口部を含み、前記上流バッフルの残りの部分には副入口開口部がない、請求項15に記載の混合器。
- 前記下流バッフルの前記第1の部分は、第1の平坦面を含み、前記第2の部分は、前記第1の平坦面からオフセットされた第2の平坦面を含み、および前記第3の部分は、前記第1の平坦面から前記第2の平坦面へ移行するらせん面を含み、前記主出口開口部は、前記下流バッフルの前記第1の平坦面と前記第2の平坦面との間の垂直方向のオフセット区域内に形成された開放領域を含み、かつ前記下流バッフル内に形成された少なくとも1つの副出口開口部を含む、請求項2に記載の混合器。
- 前記下流バッフルの少なくとも半分は、副出口開口部のない固体表面を有し、前記下流バッフルの前記固体表面は前記投与器軸と位置合わせされ、それにより、前記投与器によって画定された噴霧ゾーンは、いかなる副出口開口部に遭遇することもなく前記固体表面にわたって延在する、請求項17に記載の混合器。
- 前記投与器を所望の向きに位置決めするために前記混合器本体に装着される、コーンプレートおよびマニホールドを含む副集成部品を含む、請求項2に記載の混合器。
- 前記コーンプレートは、コーンの開口部を取り囲みかつ前記下流バッフルに取り付けられる円周壁部分を含み、前記マニホールドは、前記コーンプレートの外側に向く側面に取り付けられて、前記コーンを少なくとも部分的に取り囲む、請求項19に記載の混合器。
