<その他の変更例>
光学距離補正部材108は、必ずしも、プリズムでなくてもよく、レーザ光の透過位置がX軸方向の変化するに伴い光学距離が変化する部材であればよい。たとえば、X軸方向に屈折率が変化する直方体形状の部材によって光学距離補正部材108が構成されてもよい。この場合、光学距離補正部材108によりレーザ光の進行方向が曲がらないため、屈折補正部材109は省略可能である。

Claims (7)
- 光源と、
前記光源からの光が照射されることにより画像が形成されるスクリーンと、
前記スクリーンからの光により虚像を生成する光学系と、
前記光源から出射された光を前記スクリーンに収束させる集光レンズと、
前記集光レンズと前記スクリーンとの間に配置され光学距離を補正するための光学距離補正部材と、
前記光源からの光で前記スクリーンを走査するための走査部と、を備え、
前記スクリーンは、前記虚像の視距離が徐々に大きくなるように傾けて配置され、
前記光学距離補正部材は、前記集光レンズと前記スクリーンとの光学距離が、前記スクリーンの全ての画像表示領域に対して略均一となるように、透過する光の光学距離を調整する、
ことを特徴とする画像表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の画像表示装置において、
前記光学距離補正部材は、前記集光レンズから離れた方の前記スクリーンの端部に対向する部分の厚みが、前記集光レンズに接近する方の前記スクリーンの端部に対向する部分の厚みよりも大きいプリズムからなっている、
ことを特徴とする画像表示装置。 - 請求項2に記載の画像表示装置において、
前記スクリーンに対して前記光学距離補正部材の反対側に配置され、前記光学距離補正部材によって前記光に生じた屈折を補正する屈折補正部材をさらに備える、
ことを特徴とする画像表示装置。 - 請求項3に記載の画像表示装置において、
前記屈折補正部材は、前記集光レンズから離れた方の前記スクリーンの端部に対向する部分の厚みが、前記集光レンズに接近する方の前記スクリーンの端部に対向する部分の厚みよりも小さいプリズムからなっている、
ことを特徴とする画像表示装置。 - 請求項2ないし4の何れか一項に記載の画像表示装置において、
前記光学距離補正部材であるプリズムの入射面と出射面との角度が、前記スクリーンの傾き角よりも大きく設定されている。
ことを特徴とする画像表示装置。 - 請求項1ないし5の何れか一項に記載の画像表示装置において、
前記光学距離補正手段は、複屈折性材料によって形成されている、
ことを特徴とする画像表示装置。 - 請求項6に記載の画像表示装置において、
前記光学距離補正手段に対して前記光の入射方向の前側と後ろ側にそれぞれ、1/2波長板が配置されている、
ことを特徴とする画像表示装置。
