アニオン性界面活性剤としては、ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム等のアルキル硫酸塩などが挙げられる。非イオン性界面活性剤としては、ソルビタン脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンソルビタン脂肪酸エステル、ショ糖脂肪酸エステル等の糖アルコール脂肪酸エステル、グリセリン脂肪酸エステル、ポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレングリセリン脂肪酸エステル等の多価アルコール脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油等のポリオキシエチレン脂肪酸エステル、脂肪酸アルカノールアミドなどが挙げられる。カチオン性界面活性剤としては、アルキルアンモニウム型等が挙げられ、両性界面活性剤としては、ベタイン型、イミダゾリン型等が挙げられる。これら界面活性剤の配合量は、組成物全体の0.1〜10質量%、特に0.5〜5質量%が好ましい。

表1に示す組成で、表2〜4に示す成分を使用して口腔用組成物(練歯磨剤)を常法によって調製した。得られた口腔用組成物を試験製剤として用い、下記方法で使用感及び保存安定性を評価した。結果を表2〜4に併記した。
また、実施例の口腔用組成物は、いずれも殺菌力が高いことを確認した。

被験者3名が、各組成物を歯ブラシに約1g採取し、3分間歯みがきを行い、使用時の爽快感、特異臭マスキング能及び刺激感を下記の評価基準で判定し、最も多い評価点を採用した。

(2)保存安定性の評価
チューブに充填した各組成物を50℃で1ヵ月保存した後、組成物をチューブから紙の上に出し、目視により変色を下記の評価基準で評価した。
また、被験者3名が、上記と同様にして保存後の各組成物1g程度を用いて歯みがきを行い、香味安定性について下記の評価基準で評価を行い、最も多い評価点を採用した。なお、−5℃で保管したものを製造直後相当の対照品として使用し、比較評価した。

(C)APM:アスコルビン酸−2−リン酸エステルマグネシウム、和光純薬工業(株)製
(D)研磨性シリカ:多木化学(株)製
リン酸水素カルシウム(比較品):太平化学産業(株)製
炭酸カルシウム(比較品):(株)カルファイン製
なお、使用した香料の組成は、表5に示す通りである。

比較例1及び2は、(D)シリカ系研磨剤以外の研磨剤を配合したものであるが、50℃で1ヶ月保存後に変色を生じ、香味安定性にも劣るものとなった。
比較例3は、(B)成分が配合されていないので、爽快感がなく、チモールの特異臭もマスキングされていないことが確認された。
比較例4は、(C)成分が配合されていないので、(A)成分及び(B)成分の組み合わせによって生じた刺激感が抑制されていないことが確認された。
比較例5は、(B)成分及び(C)成分が配合されていないので、爽快感がなく、チモールの特異臭がマスキングされていないことが確認された。
