Description
ところが、第1及び第2の有機発光層は、温度による劣化量が異なるという問題点がある。それにより、有機発光素子の周辺温度及び該温度が維持される時間によって、各サブ画素の有機発光素子で放出される白色光の色温度が変動することで、画質が低下する問題点がある。
Claims (11)
- 表示領域にマトリックス配列されて、異なる色相に対応する三つ以上のサブ画素各々からなる複数の単位画素、及び前記各サブ画素に対応する有機発光素子を含む表示パネル;
前記各サブ画素の累積データに基づいて、各サブ画素の劣化予測データを生成して、前記有機発光表示装置の温度に対応する装置温度データに基づいて、第1及び第2の温度劣化データを生成し、前記劣化予測データ、前記第1及び第2の温度劣化データに基づいて、前記各サブ画素に対応する個別補償ゲイン値を算出して、前記各サブ画素の個別補償ゲイン値に基づいて、前記各サブ画素の入力データを補正する劣化補償部;
前記各サブ画素にスキャン信号を供給するゲート駆動部;
前記各サブ画素に前記劣化補償部の出力値に対応するデータ信号を供給するデータ駆動部;及び
前記ゲート駆動部と前記データ駆動部それぞれの駆動を制御するタイミングコントローラを含む有機発光表示装置。 - 前記劣化補償部は、
前記各サブ画素の累積データに基づいて、各サブ画素の劣化予測データを生成する劣化予測データ生成部;
前記有機発光表示装置の温度に対応する装置温度データに基づいて、第1及び第2の温度劣化データを生成する温度劣化データ生成部;

前記グローバル補償ゲイン値によって前記各サブ画素の入力補正データを変調して、前記各サブ画素の入力変調データを生成するグローバル補償部をさらに含む、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記各サブ画素の入力変調データをカウンティングして、前記各サブ画素の累積データを生成するデータ累積部;
前記各サブ画素の累積データを保有する第1メモリー;及び

所定の測定周期において、前記有機発光表示装置の温度に対応する装置温度データが所定の臨界温度データ以上であると、第1のストレスデータを累積する段階;
前記所定の測定周期において、前記装置温度データが前記臨界温度データ未満であると、第2のストレスデータを累積する段階;
前記累積した第1のストレスデータに基づいて第1の温度劣化データを生成する段階;
前記累積した第2のストレスデータに基づいて第2の温度劣化データを生成する段階;
前記各サブ画素の劣化予測データと前記第1及び第2の温度劣化データに基づいて、前記各サブ画素の個別補償ゲイン値を算出する段階;及び
