Abstract
【解決手段】本発明に係る有機発光ダイオード表示装置は、基板、前段水平電流配線、水平センシング配線、スキャン配線、水平電流配線、センシング配線、発光領域、非発光領域、スイッチング薄膜トランジスタ、センシング薄膜トランジスタ、駆動薄膜トランジスタ、アノード電極、及びアノードのボトルネック部を含む。発光領域は水平センシング配線と前段水平電流配線の間に定義される。非発光領域は水平センシング配線と水平電流配線の間に定義される。アノード電極は発光領域から非発光領域に亘って配置されて駆動薄膜トランジスタと接続される。水平センシング配線とスキャン配線との間には、アノード電極と駆動薄膜トランジスタとの接続を選択的に断線させるアノードのボトルネック部が配置される。

Description
図6を参照して、本発明の第1実施形態を説明する。図6は、本発明に係る補償回路を備えた薄膜トランジスタを用いた有機発光ダイオード表示装置の構造を示す平面図である。
以下、図7を参照して、第2実施形態において、有機発光ダイオード(OLE)を直接断線することができる構造を有する有機発光ダイオード表示装置を説明する。図7は、本発明の第2実施形態に係る暗点化のためのボトルネック部を備えた超高解像度有機発光ダイオード表示装置を示す平面図である。
以下、第3実施形態においては、有機発光ダイオード表示装置の構造を変更して、暗点化のためのボトルネック部を備えながらも、開口率を最大限に確保することができる構造を提案する。図8は、本発明の第3実施形態に係る、暗点化のためのボトルネック部を備えた超高解像度有機発光ダイオード表示装置の構造を示す平面図である。
Claims (10)
- 基板上で横方向に進行し、縦方向に順次配列された前段水平電流配線、水平センシング配線、スキャン配線、及び水平電流配線と、
前記水平センシング配線と前記前段水平電流配線との間に定義された発光領域と、
前記水平センシング配線と前記水平電流配線との間に定義された非発光領域と、
前記水平センシング配線と前記スキャン配線との間に配置されたスイッチング薄膜トランジスタ及びセンシング薄膜トランジスタと、
前記スキャン配線と前記水平電流配線との間に配置された駆動薄膜トランジスタと、
前記発光領域において、前記非発光領域に亘って配置され、前記駆動薄膜トランジスタと接続されたアノード電極を含み、
前記水平センシング配線と前記スキャン配線との間に、前記アノード電極と前記駆動薄膜トランジスタとの接続を選択的に断線するアノードのボトルネック部が配置された、平板表示装置。 - 前記センシング薄膜トランジスタは、
前記水平センシング配線から分岐するセンシングソース電極と、
前記スキャン配線の第1領域に対応するセンシングゲート電極と、
前記センシングゲート電極を中心に、前記センシングソース電極と対向するセンシングドレイン電極と、そして
前記センシングソース電極と前記センシングドレイン電極とを接続し、前記センシングゲート電極と一部重畳するセンシング半導体層と、
を含み、
前記水平センシング配線と前記スキャン配線との間に、前記センシングソース電極と前記水平センシング配線との間の接続を選択的に断線させるセンシングボトルネック部が配置された、請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。 - 前記アノードのボトルネック部は、
前記水平センシング配線と前記スキャン配線との間の空間から縦方向に進んで、前記発光領域に配置された前記アノード電極の一部と前記非発光領域に配置された前記アノード電極の他の一部を接続する線分形状である、請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。 - 前記センシングボトルネック部は、
前記水平センシング配線と前記アノードのボトルネック部から少なくとも6μm以上離隔した線分形状を有する、請求項2に記載の平板表示装置。 - 前記水平センシング配線は、
センシングコンタクトホールを介して前記センシング配線と接続される、請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。 - 前記基板上で縦方向に進行するデータ配線、駆動電流配線及びセンシング配線をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。
- 前記スイッチング薄膜トランジスタは、
前記データ配線から分岐するスイッチングソース電極と、
前記スキャン配線の第2領域に対応するスイッチングゲート電極と、
前記スイッチングゲート電極を中心に、前記スイッチングソース電極と対向するスイッチングドレイン電極と、そして
前記スイッチングソース電極と前記スイッチングドレイン電極とを接続し、前記スイッチングゲート電極と一部重畳するスイッチング半導体層と、
を含む、請求項6に記載の平板表示装置。 - 前記スイッチング薄膜トランジスタは、
前記データ配線と前記スイッチングソース電極との間に配置されたスイッチングボトルネック部をさらに含む、請求項7に記載の平板表示装置。 - 前記駆動薄膜トランジスタは、
前記スイッチング薄膜トランジスタに接続された駆動ゲート電極と、
前記駆動電流配線の一部領域に対応する駆動ソース電極と、
前記駆動ゲート電極を中心に前記駆動ソース電極と対向する駆動ドレイン電極と、
前記駆動ソース電極と前記駆動ドレイン電極とを接続し、前記駆動ゲート電極と一部重畳する駆動半導体層と、
を含む、請求項6に記載の平板表示装置。 - 前記水平電流配線は、電流コンタクトホールを介して前記駆動電流配線と接続される、請求項6に記載の平板表示装置。
