Abstract
Description
用語「栄養素」とは、例えば、エネルギー、成長、又は健康をもたらすために、身体に有益な効果をもたらす化合物を指している。この用語は、有機及び無機化合物を含む。
用語「多量栄養素」は、当該技術分野において既知であり、本明細書において、生命体の通常の成長及び発達において大量に必要とされる栄養素を指す、標準的な意味に従って使用される。
用語「微量栄養素」とは、例えば、エネルギー、成長、又は健康をもたらすために、身体に有益な効果をもたらすが、必要とされる量が少ないか、又は極僅かである化合物を指している。この用語には例えば、有機及び無機化合物の両方、例えば、個別のアミノ酸、ヌクレオチド、及び脂肪酸;ビタミン、抗酸化物質、ミネラル、微量元素、例えば、要素、電解質、例えば、食塩及びこれらの塩が挙げられる。
用語「植物性栄養素」とは、健康に良い効果を伴う、生体活性の植物由来化合物を指す。
用語「必須栄養素」は、本明細書においては、内因的に合成することができないか、又は健康に必要な濃度で合成することができない、栄養素を指す。例えば、必須栄養素は、被験者の食事により得られなくてはならない栄養素であり得る。
一般的に、用語「サンプル」とは本明細書において使用するとき、体液、又は他の組織サンプルタイプ、例えば、血液、血漿、血清、痰、唾液、汗(発汗)、又は尿を指す。被験者からこのようなサンプルを得る技術は既知である。用語はまた、例えば、呼気など、身体組織と接触させるか又は皮膚と接触させることによって得られる他の組織又は流体のサンプルを含む。
システムは測定装置を備える。装置は、被験者からのサンプル内の栄養素の濃度を測定するためのいずれかの好適な装置を含み得る。例えば、測定器は、例えば、分光装置、例えば、分光測定システム、質量分析システム、高解像度NMR分光システムなど、任意の種類の分析装置又はシステムであり得る。様々な好適な方法は、例えば、Rezzi et al.,Trends in Analytical Chemistry 52(2013)112−119に記載されている。
一実施形態において、測定装置はNMR分光計を含む。NMR分光法は、分析的にロバストな方法で、事前選択なしに、かつサンプル調製が行われないか、又は極僅かサンプル調製で、数百の栄養素、及び/又はこれらの代謝物を全体的にプロファイリングするための、固有の予測をもたらす(例えば、F.P.Martin et al.,Magn.Reson.Chem.49(2011)S47−S54;J.C.Lindon et al.,Annu.Rep.NMR Spec.38(1999)1−88、参照)。いくつかの実施形態において、尿及び血漿栄養素プロファイルの平行分析が行われてもよい。完全な組織サンプルもまた、最小限のサンプル調製物を使用して、高解像度マジック角回転NMRにより分析することができる。プロトンNMR分光法は、感度の理由のために使用され得るが、多くの場合に、分子同一性の確認のため、又は更に多次元技術を使用した構造解析の目的のために、多次元技術を使用して、炭素13核が測定されてもよい。
別の実施形態において、測定装置は、質量分析法を含む。MSは、例えば、I.D.Wilson et al.,J.Chromatogr.B Analyt.Technol.Biomed.Life Sci.817(2005)67−76 and M.R.Wenk,Nat.Rev.Drug Discov.4(2005),594−610に記載される、全体又は標的分析のために使用され得る。MSは、様々なイオン化技術を使用する(事前のサンプル調製を必要とするが)、高感度の代謝物分析を可能にするために、nLスケールのガスクロマトグラフィ(GC)、又は液体クロマトグラフィ(LC)に連結され得る。例えば、アミノ酸、脂肪酸、有機酸、ビタミン、及び植物性栄養素など、様々な栄養素及びそれらの代謝物の種類を測定するために、様々な方法が利用可能である。近年の技術の進歩により、感度、質量正確性、走査速度、及び解像度などのMS分析性能は、例えば、脂質分析方法(すなわち、リピドミクス)(K.Schuhmann et al.,J.Mass Spectrom.47(2012)96−104参照)におけるように、事前のクロマトグラフィー工程なしでも、生体サンプルのプロファイリングを可能にするまでに改善された。
システムは、被験者に必要な栄養摂取量を計算するためにコントローラを更に含む。コントローラは、測定装置に動作可能に連結され、被験者からのサンプル内の栄養素の濃度に基づいて必要な栄養摂取量を計算するように構成されている。
システムは、栄養組成物を製造するためのディスペンサを更に含む。ディスペンサは、様々な量の様々な栄養素を組み合わせて、個別の被験者の必要性に合わせて個別化された、単一の組成物にすることができる。
栄養組成物は、投与ユニットの形態であり得る。用語「投与ユニット」とは、栄養素の投与量、すなわち、栄養素の濃度の標的値と実際値との差に対応する量が被験者に供給されるユニット(任意により、いくつかのサブユニットからなる)を指す。
食品組成物は、被験者からのサンプルの栄養素の濃度の測定値に基づき、栄養素の混合を提供する、食品混合物、又は食料製品であり得る。栄養組成物は、食料製品又は他の食用製品の形態であり得る。
被験者は、幼児、子供、成人、及び高齢者を含み得る。被験者は、健康であるか、又は病気であってもよく、例えば、被験者は通常の健康な被験者であるか、介護施設の住居者、及び/又は寝たきりの患者であってもよい。この用語はまた、動物、特にネコ又は犬などの愛玩動物を含み得る。
Claims (26)
- 栄養組成物を製造するためのシステムであって、
(a)被験者からのサンプル内の1つ以上の栄養素の濃度を測定するための測定装置と、
(b)前記被験者に必要な栄養摂取量を計算するためのコントローラであって、前記測定装置に動作可能に連結され、前記被験者からの前記サンプル内の前記栄養素の前記濃度に基づいて前記必要な栄養摂取量を計算するように構成されている、コントローラと、
(c)前記被験者に必要な栄養素の組み合わせを含む個人向け栄養組成物を調製するための栄養ディスペンサと、を含み、
前記栄養ディスペンサは、前記コントローラに動作可能に連結され、前記コントローラにより計算された前記被験者に必要な栄養摂取量に基づく前記栄養素の組み合わせを含む、前記個人向け栄養組成物を製造するように構成されている、システム。 - 前記コントローラは、(i)前記サンプル内の前記栄養素の前記濃度の標的値と実際値との差を計算し、(ii)前記標的値と前記実際値との差に基づいて前記被験者に必要な栄養摂取量を計算するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ以上の栄養素の前記濃度の前記標的値と前記実際値が収束することを確実にするべく、前記被験者の栄養状態をモニタリングするために、前記個人向け栄養組成物の供給後に、前記測定装置へと戻るフィードバックループを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のシステム。
- 前記個人向け栄養組成物は、印刷された栄養組成物、好ましくは2D印刷、インクジェット印刷、又は3D印刷された栄養組成物である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記栄養組成物は、経口投与、好ましくは、舌下投与、経舌投与、又は頬側投与のためのものである、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記栄養組成物は、タブレット、ホイル、フィルム、及びウエハからなる群から選択される投与形態として提供される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記栄養組成物は、食料製品又は他の食用製品である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記測定装置は、分光計、質量分析計、又はNMR分光計を含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記栄養素は、微量栄養素、多量栄養素、必須栄養素、条件付き必須栄養素、及び植物性栄養素からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの栄養素は、微量栄養素である、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記微量栄養素は、脂肪酸、アミノ酸、ヌクレオチド、ビタミン、抗酸化物質、ミネラル、微量元素、及び電解質からなる群から選択される、請求項9又は10に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの微量栄養素は、ビタミンB1(チアミン)、ビタミンB2(リボフラビン)、ビタミンB3(ニコチン酸、又はニコチンアミド)、ビタミンB5(パントテン酸)、ビタミンB6(ピリドキシン、ピリドキサールP、又はピリドキサミン)、ビタミンB8(ビオチン)、ビタミンB9(葉酸)、ビタミンB12(コバラミン)、及びビタミンC(アスコルビン酸)からなる群から選択される水溶性ビタミンである、請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの微量栄養素は、ビタミンK3(メナジオン)、ビタミンK2(メナキノン)、ビタミンK1(フィロキノン)、ビタミンE(α−トコフェロール、又はd−トコフェロール)、ビタミンD2、又はビタミンD3からなる群から選択される脂溶性ビタミンである、請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの微量栄養素は、カルシウム、塩化物、クロム、コバルト、銅、ヨード、鉄、フッ化物、マグネシウム、マンガン、モリブデン、リン、カリウム、セレニウム、ナトリウム、硫黄、及び亜鉛からなる群から選択されるミネラルである、請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの微量栄養素は、アラニン、アルギニン、モノメチルアルギニン、非対称ジメチルアルギニン、対称ジメチルアルギニン、アスパラギン、アスパラギン酸、シトルリン、シスチン、システイン、グルタミン酸、グルタミン、グリシン、ヒスチジン、ホモシステイン、ヒポタウリン、イソロイシン、ロイシン、リシン、メチオニン、オルニチン、フェニルアラニン、プロリン、セリン、タウリン、スレオニン、トリプトファン、チロシン、及びバリンからなる群から選択されるアミノ酸である、請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの微量栄養素は、C4:0、C6:0、C8:0、C10:0、C11:0、C12:0、C13:0、C14:0、C15:0、C16:0、C17:0、C18:0、C20:0、C21:0、C22:0、C24:0、C14:1 n−5、C15:1 n−5、C16:1 n−7、C17:1 n−7、C18:1 n−9 trans、C18:1 n−9 cis、C20:1 n−9、C22:1 n−9、C24:1 n−9、C18:2 n−6 trans、C18:2 n−6 cis、C18:3 n−6、C18:3 n−3、C20:2 n−6、C20:3 n−6、C20:3 n−3、C20:4 n−6、C22:2 n−6、C20:5 n−3、及びC22:6 n−3脂肪酸から選択される脂肪酸である、請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの栄養素は、多量栄養素である、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記多量栄養素は、炭水化物、脂肪、タンパク質、アミノ酸、及び水からなる群から選択される、請求項9又は17に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの栄養素は、必須栄養素である、請求項9〜18のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの栄養素は、植物性栄養素である、請求項9〜19のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記植物性栄養素は、テルペノイド(イソプレノイド)、例えば、カロテノイド、トリテルペノイド、モノテルペン、及びステロイド;フェノール化合物、例えば、天然モノフェノール、ポリフェノール(例えば、フラボノイド、イソフラボノイド、フラボノリグナン、リグナン、スチルベノイド、クルクミノイド、スチルベノイド、及び加水分解性タンニン);芳香族酸(例えば、フェノール酸、及びヒドロキシ桂皮酸);カプサイシン;フェニルエタノイド;アルキルレゾルシノール;グルコシノレート;ベタレイン、及びクロロフィルからなる群から選択される、請求項20に記載のシステム。
- 前記栄養ディスペンサは、3D食品プリンターを含む、請求項1〜21のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 栄養組成物を製造するための方法であって、
(a)被験者からのサンプル内の1つ以上の栄養素の濃度を測定する工程と、
(b)前記被験者からの前記サンプル内の前記栄養素の前記濃度に基づいて、前記被験者に必要な栄養摂取量を計算する工程と、
(c)前記被験者のための個人向け栄養組成物を調製する工程とを含み、
前記個人向け栄養組成物は、前記被験者からの前記サンプル中の前記栄養素の濃度に基づいて計算された前記被験者に必要な栄養素の組み合わせを含む、方法。 - 前記標的栄養摂取量と前記実際の栄養摂取量とが収束するまで繰り返される、請求項23に記載の方法。
- (a)被験者に必要な栄養摂取量を計算するためのコントローラであって、前記被験者からのサンプル内の1つ以上の栄養素の濃度に関するデータを測定装置から受け取り、前記被験者からの前記サンプル内の前記栄養素の前記濃度に基づいて、前記必要な栄養摂取量を計算するように構成されている、コントローラと、
(b)前記被験者に必要な栄養素の組み合わせを含む個人向け栄養組成物を調製するための栄養ディスペンサであって、前記コントローラに動作可能に連結され、前記コントローラにより計算された前記被験者に必要な栄養摂取量に基づく前記栄養素の組み合わせを含む前記個人向け栄養組成物を製造するように構成されている、栄養ディスペンサと、を含む、装置。 - 前記1つ以上の栄養素の前記濃度の前記標的値と前記実際値が収束することを確実にするべく、前記個人向け栄養組成物を摂取した後の前記被験者の栄養状態をモニタリングするために、前記個人向け栄養組成物の供給後に、前記測定装置へと戻るフィードバックループを含む、請求項25に記載の装置。
