第1の球面を有する第1の部材であって、前記第1の球面は、第1の曲率を規定する半径と、前記第1の球面中心と、第1の摩擦面とを有する、第1の部材と、
第2の球面を有する第2の部材であって、前記第2の球面は、前記第1の曲率とほぼ同じかまたは等しい第2の曲率を規定する前記半径と、前記第2の球面中心と、第2の摩擦面とを有する、第2の部材と、
を備えることを特徴とする、クラッチアセンブリ。 - トルクコンバータアセンブリであって、
回転軸線と、
該回転軸線に沿って位置決めされた第1および第2の球面中心と、
第1の球面を有するインペラシェルを含むインペラであって、前記第1の球面は、第1の曲率を規定する半径と、前記第1の球面中心と、第1の摩擦面とを有する、インペラと、
第2の球面を有するタービンシェルを含むタービンであって、前記第2の球面は、前記第1の曲率とほぼ同じかまたは等しい第2の曲率を規定する前記半径と、前記第2の球面中心と、第2の摩擦面とを有する、タービンと、を備え、
前記第1および第2の摩擦面は、摩擦係合のために配置されていることを特徴とする、トルクコンバータアセンブリ。 - トルクコンバータアセンブリであって、
回転軸線と、
該回転軸線に沿って位置決めされた第1および第2の球面中心と、
カバーと、
インペラシェルを含むインペラであって、前記インペラシェルは、第1の球面を含む第1の球面部分と、曲がり部分と、前記カバーまで延びておりかつ該カバーと接続されるように配置された端部を含む円筒状部分とを有し、前記第1の球面は、第1の曲率を規定する半径と、第1の球面中心と、第1の摩擦面とを有する、インペラと、
タービンシェルを含むタービンであって、前記タービンシェルは、第2の球面を含む第2の球面部分を有し、前記第2の球面は、前記第1の曲率とほぼ同じかまたは等しい第2の曲率を規定する前記半径と、第2の球面中心と、第2の摩擦面とを有する、タービンと、を備え、
前記第1および第2の摩擦面は、摩擦係合のために配置されており、前記クラッチが係合しているとき、前記第2の球面中心は前記第1の球面中心とほぼ同じかまたは等しく、前記クラッチが係合していないとき、前記第2の球面中心は前記第1の球面中心からずれていることを特徴とする、トルクコンバータアセンブリ。 - 前記クラッチが係合しているとき、前記第2の球面中心は前記第1の球面中心とほぼ同じかまたは等しく、前記クラッチが係合していないとき、前記第2の球面中心は前記第1の球面中心からずれている、請求項1または2記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記第1の球面は、前記半径と前記第1の球面中心とを有する大円をさらに含み、該大円に沿った摩擦係合のために前記第1および第2の摩擦面が配置されている、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載のアセンブリ。
- 摩擦材料をさらに含み、前記第1または第2の摩擦面は前記摩擦材料に配置されている、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記摩擦材料は、接着面と、反対側の面とを有する、請求項6記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記反対側の面は、凸状である、請求項7記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記インペラシェルは、第1の内側球面と、リヤカバー外面と、第1の厚さとを有する第1の球面部分を含む、請求項2記載のトルクコンバータアセンブリ。
- 前記インペラシェルは、第1および第2のテーパ部分と、前記第1の厚さよりも大きい第2の厚さとをさらに有する、請求項9記載のトルクコンバータアセンブリ。
