Claims (14)
- コネクタであって、

前記ハウジングの周囲に位置するケージであって、第1の平面を画定する前面を有し、前記第1及び第2のカードスロットとそれぞれ位置合わせされた第1のポートと第2のポートとを画定し、かつ該第1のポートと第2のポートとの間にチャンバを含む、ケージと、
前記前面の近傍の前記チャンバ内に位置するベント壁であって、該ベント壁が、電磁干渉(EMI)を妨げるようにサイズ決めされた複数の開口を有し、かつ前記第1の平面から少なくとも15度である角度で配置され、前記複数の開口が全体でベント面積を画定する、ベント壁と、を備える、コネクタ。 - 前記チャンバが、該チャンバの高さと幅とに対応する第1の面積を有し、前記ベント面積が前記第1の面積の少なくとも60%である、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記ベント面積が前記第1の面積の少なくとも75%である、請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記ベント面積が前記第1の面積の少なくとも100%である、請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
- 第1の角度が前記第1の平面から少なくとも30度である、請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記第1の角度が約45度である、請求項5に記載のコネクタ。
- 第1の角度が前記第1の平面から15度〜45度である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記コネクタが、前記第1のポートと第2のポートの間に位置するインサートを備え、該インサートが前記チャンバを画定する、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記インサートが、該インサート内に一体形成されたベント壁を含む、請求項8に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記インサートが上壁と底壁とを含み、前記ベント壁の端部に前記上壁及び底壁のうちの1つを押圧させるように構成される、請求項9に記載のコネクタ。
- コネクタであって、
取り付け面と、接合面と、該接合面上の、垂直方向に離間した第1のカードスロット及び第2のカードスロットとを含むハウジングと、
該ハウジングによって支持され、前記取り付け面に配置された尾部と前記カードスロット内に位置する接点とを含む複数の端子と、
前記ハウジングの周囲に位置するケージであって、該ケージが、第1の平面を画定する前面を有し、かつ前記第1及び第2のカードスロットとそれぞれ位置合わせされた第1のポートと第2のポートとを画定し、前記ポートが第1の幅を有する、ケージと、
前記ポートの間に位置するインサートであって、該インサートが、前記第1のポートの底部を形成する第1の壁と、前記第2のポートの上部を形成する第2の壁とを含み、前記第1の壁及び第2の壁は、第1の高さと前記第1の幅とがチャンバを画定するような第1の高さによって離間されており、前記インサートが前記前面の近傍の前記チャンバ内に位置するベント壁を含み、該ベント壁は、電磁干渉(EMI)を妨げるようにサイズ決めされた複数の開口を有し、かつ第1の幅×第1の高さより大きな表面積を有し、前記複数の開口が全体でベント面積を画定する、インサートと、を備える、コネクタ。 - 前記第1の高さと前記第1の幅とがチャンバ面積を画定し、前記ベント面積が前記チャンバ面積の少なくとも75%である、請求項11に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記ベント壁が、前記第1の平面から少なくとも30度の第1の角度をなす、請求項11又は12に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記ケージが、後壁と、該後壁内に位置するアパーチャアレイとを含み、該アパーチャアレイは空気が一方から他方に流れ得るように前記ベント壁と連通している、請求項11〜13のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
