Abstract
【解決手段】ビデオデータを伝達する方法は、アップサンプリングフィルタをビデオシーケンスに適用して、符号化されたエンハンスメントレイヤピクチャを生成し、アップサンプリングフィルタをビデオシーケンスのシーケンスレベルに適用して、エンハンスメントレイヤビットストリームを生成する。アップサンプリングフィルタは、ビデオシーケンスに関するカテゴリの知識が存在するかを判定し、ビデオシーケンスに関するカテゴリに対して設計された候補アップサンプリングフィルタを選択することにより、複数の候補アップサンプリングフィルタから選択され、アップサンプリングフィルタ情報を符号化する。符号化されたアップサンプリング情報は、アップサンプリングフィルタの複数の係数を含む。

Claims (3)
- データを通信するための方法であって、
符号化されたエンハンスメントレイヤピクチャと前記符号化されたエンハンスメントレイヤピクチャを生成するために使用されたアップサンプリングフィルタに関するアップサンプリングフィルタ情報とを含む入力ビットストリームを受信するステップであって、前記アップサンプリングフィルタ情報は、カスタマイズされたアップサンプリングフィルタがビデオシーケンスに適用されるか否かを示す値を含む、ステップと、
前記アップサンプリングフィルタ情報を復号化して前記アップサンプリングフィルタを構成するステップであって、前記復号化することは、前記アップサンプリングフィルタのサイズを抽出することを含み、前記アップサンプリングフィルタは、前記サイズに基づいて構成される、ステップと、
前記アップサンプリングフィルタの少なくとも一部を適用してベースレイヤピクチャをアップサンプルするステップと、
前記アップサンプルされたベースレイヤピクチャを使用して前記符号化されたエンハンスメントレイヤピクチャを復号化するステップと
を備えたことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記アップサンプリングフィルタは、シーケンスレベルにおいて適用されて、ビデオシーケンスの前記エンハンスメントレイヤピクチャを復号化することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アップサンプリングフィルタは、ビデオシーケンスのピクチャまたはスライスレベルにおいて適用されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
