セラミックマトリックス複合材料の形成方法であって、
各繊維が約40μm未満の直径を有する繊維の集合体を用意する工程と、
繊維の集合体に、バインダーと充・剤粉体とセラミック形成粉体とを含むスラリー組成物を含浸する工程であって、セラミック形成粉体が約0.1μm〜約20μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の炭素粒子を含み、充・剤粉体が約2μm〜約10μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の粒子を含む、工程と、
含浸した繊維の集合体からプリフォームを形成する工程であって、充填剤粒子を繊維の集合体に浸透させて充・剤粒子をテープ内の隣接する繊維間に分散させる、工程と
を含む方法。

Claims (15)
- マトリックス材料(22)内に埋め込まれて一方向に並ぶトウ列を形成する複数の繊維(16)を含む順応性テープ(20)であって、テープ(20)内の隣接する4本の繊維が繊維間距離を規定しており、マトリックス材料(22)が、テープ(20)内の隣接する繊維(16)間に分散した充・剤粒子(24)を含んでいて、充・剤粒子(24)が、そのメジアン粒径の約0.75倍〜約1.1倍となる繊維間距離(27)を規定するメジアン粒径を有している、順応性テープ(20)。
- 充填剤粒子が、SiC粒子、炭素粒子、ホウ素粒子、B4C粒子、Si3N4粒子、Mo5Si3粒子、MoSi2粒子、ケイ化物粒子、酸化物粒子又はこれらの混合物を含む、請求項1に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- 充填剤粒子が、約2μm〜約10μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の粒子を含む、請求項1に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- 充填剤粒子が、約2μm〜約10μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の粒子から実質的になる、請求項1に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- 充填剤粒子が、約4μm〜約7μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の粒子から実質的になる、請求項4に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- マトリックス材料(22)がセラミック形成粉体をさらに含んでおり、セラミック形成粉体が約0.1μm〜約20μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の炭素粒子を含む、請求項1に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- セラミック形成粉体が約0.1μm〜約1μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の炭素粒子を含む、請求項8に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- マトリックス材料(22)内に埋め込まれて一方向に並ぶトウ列を形成する複数の繊維(16)を含む順応性テープ(20)であって、テープ(20)内の隣接する繊維がそれらの間の表面間距離を規定しており、マトリックス材料(22)が、テープ内の隣接する繊維(16)間に分散した充・剤粒子(24)を含んでいて、充・剤粒子(24)が、隣接づつ繊維間の表面間距離と関係するメジアン粒径を有しており、隣接する繊維間の表面間距離とメジアン粒径との比が約0.3:1〜約1:1である、順応性テープ(20)。
- 隣接する繊維間の表面間距離とメジアン粒径との比が約0.3:1〜約0.7:1である、請求項8に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- 隣接する繊維間の表面間距離とメジアン粒径との比が約0.3:1〜約0.5:1である、請求項8に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- 充填剤粒子が、SiC粒子、炭素粒子、ホウ素粒子、B4C粒子、Si3N4粒子、Mo5Si3粒子、MoSi2粒子、ケイ化物粒子、酸化物粒子、ポリマー粒又はこれらの混合物を含む、請求項8に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- 充填剤粒子が、約1μm〜約10μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の粒子から実質的になる、請求項8に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- 充填剤粒子が、約3μm〜約7μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の粒子から実質的になる、請求項12に記載の順応性テープ(20)。
- マトリックス材料(22)がセラミック形成粉体をさらに含んでおり、セラミック形成粉体が、約0.1μm〜約20μmのメジアン粒径を有する複数の炭素粒子を含む、請求項8に記載の順応性テープ(20)
- セラミックマトリックス複合材料の形成方法であって、
