Abstract
Description
電池セルの密封のためのシーリング部を含む一面上に正極端子及び負極端子が形成されている電池セルと、
保護回路が形成されている保護回路基板(PCB)、前記保護回路に電気的に連結されている外部入出力端子、前記外部入出力端子に電気的に連結されているコネクター、及び前記PCBが装着される電気絶縁性のPCMケースで構成されたPCMと、
を含んでおり、
前記PCMは、電池セルに電気的に連結された状態で前記シーリング部上に搭載され、前記コネクターは、二次電池パックの外形から突出しない形状でPCM上に形成されている構造からなり得る。
保護回路が形成されている保護回路基板(PCB)と、
前記保護回路に電気的に連結されている外部入出力端子と、
前記外部入出力端子に電気的に連結されているコネクターと、
前記PCBが装着される電気絶縁性のPCMケースと、
を含んでおり、前記PCBは、電池セルの正極端子及び負極端子に電気的に連結され、前記コネクターは、PCMケースの外形から突出しない形状で装着されていることを特徴とする保護回路モジュールを提供する。

Claims (20)
- 電池セルの密封のためのシーリング部を含む一面上に正極端子及び負極端子が形成されている電池セルと、
保護回路が形成されている保護回路基板(PCB)、前記保護回路に電気的に連結されている外部入出力端子、前記外部入出力端子に電気的に連結されているコネクター、及び前記PCBが装着される電気絶縁性のPCMケースで構成されたPCMと、
を含んでおり、前記PCMは、電池セルに電気的に連結された状態で前記シーリング部上に搭載され、前記コネクターは、二次電池パックの外形から突出しない形状でPCM上に形成されていることを特徴とする二次電池パック。 - 前記外部入出力端子はPCB上に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記コネクターは、外部入出力端子上に直接結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記外部入出力端子とコネクターとの間には電気的連結部材が介在していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電気的連結部材はフレキシブル印刷回路基板(FPCB)であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記PCMケースには、コネクターが外部に露出されるための開口が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記PCMケースは、PCBを覆いながら互いに結合される第1ケース部材と第2ケース部材からなっていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記第2ケース部材は、PCBが挿入・装着され得るように一面が開放されたボックス構造からなっており、前記第1ケース部材は、一側にコネクターが露出される開口が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルは、正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体が金属層及び樹脂層を含むラミネートシートの電池ケースに密封されている二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記PCBの一面には外部入出力端子が形成されており、他面には負極端子と正極端子に対応する位置にそれぞれ負極端子接続部と正極端子接続部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記正極端子接続部と結合される正極端子の上面には、超音波溶接によってニッケルプレートがさらに装着されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルの電極端子のうち一つとPCBとの電気的連結部位に安全素子がさらに含まれていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記安全素子は、PTC(Positive Temperature Coefficient)素子またはヒューズ(fuse)からなっていることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記コネクターを除いたPCMと電池セルを覆う形態でラベルが付着していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記ラベルは、コネクターを除いたPCMと電池セルの側面の熱融着外周面を覆う構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の二次電池パック。
- 板状型の導電性部材からなる正極端子と負極端子が上端に形成されている板状型電池セルの密封のためのシーリング部に装着される保護回路モジュール(PCM)であって、
保護回路が形成されている保護回路基板(PCB)と、
前記保護回路に電気的に連結されている外部入出力端子と、
前記外部入出力端子に電気的に連結されているコネクターと、
前記PCBが装着される電気絶縁性のPCMケースと、
を含んでおり、前記PCBは、電池セルの正極端子及び負極端子に電気的に連結され、前記コネクターは、PCMケースの外形から突出しない形状で装着されていることを特徴とする保護回路モジュール。 - 前記コネクターは、外部入出力端子上に直接結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の保護回路モジュール。
- 前記外部入出力端子とコネクターとの間には電気的連結部材が介在していることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の保護回路モジュール。
- 前記PCMケースには、コネクターが外部に露出される開口が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の保護回路モジュール。
- 請求項1による二次電池パックを含むことを特徴とするデバイス。
