Claims (4)
- 燃料として、天然ガスと該天然ガスとは別の着火用燃料を使用し、この着火用燃料のシリンダ内における圧縮着火により前記天然ガスを燃焼させる天然ガスエンジンにおいて、前記着火用燃料として、単位容積当たりの真発熱量が32MJ(メガジュール)/l(リットル)〜35MJ/lの範囲内で、かつ、セタン価が65〜90の範囲内の液体燃料を使用し、エンジン始動時においては、前記着火用燃料と前記天然ガスの両方を供給して始動することを特徴とする天然ガスエンジン。
- 吸気行程中のシリンダ内に排気ガスを導入する排気導入機構を備えて構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の天然ガスエンジン。
- 前記排気導入機構の作動を行う運転状態において、前記吸気系通路に設けられた吸気シャッタによる吸気絞り制御、若しくは、排気系通路に設けられた排気シャッタによる排気絞り制御の一方又は両方を併用するように構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の天然ガスエンジン。
- 燃料として、天然ガスと該天然ガスとは別の着火用燃料を使用し、この着火用燃料のシリンダ内における圧縮着火により前記天然ガスを燃焼させる天然ガスエンジンの運転方法において、前記着火用燃料として、単位容積当たりの真発熱量が32MJ(メガジュール)/l(リットル)〜35MJ/lの範囲内で、かつ、セタン価が65〜90の範囲内の液体燃料を使用し、エンジン始動時においては、前記着火用燃料と前記天然ガスの両方を供給して始動することを特徴とする天然ガスエンジンの運転方法。
