Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pulp-containing resin molded article that can obtain a molded article having excellent surface gloss and durability while containing pulp fibers.
Thermoplastic synthetic resin made from petroleum is used as a raw material for molding plastic containers and the like, but from the viewpoint of waste material recycling and disposal (in Japan, it may be combustible waste depending on pulp content), waste paper Mixtures of pulp fibers derived from the like and thermoplastic synthetic resins have also been used (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 to 5).
However, the pulp-containing resin molded product has a problem that the surface gloss and durability are inferior to those of the molded product of the thermoplastic synthetic resin alone. Although this problem can be improved by keeping the pulp fiber content low, it is desirable to mix more pulp fibers from the viewpoint of waste recycling and disposal.
Then, the main subject of this invention is improving the surface glossiness and durability in a pulp containing resin molding.
The present invention that has solved the above problems is as follows.
<Invention of Claim 1>
A pulp-containing resin molded article comprising pulp fiber, a superabsorbent polymer, and a thermoplastic resin different from the superabsorbent polymer.
(Function and effect)
Technology for recycling absorbent fibers such as disposable diapers and sanitary napkins, even though there is a demand for material recycling for products that are disposed of outside the quality standards at the time of manufacture. There is a current situation that has not been established. This is due to the fact that general absorbents contain not only pulp fibers but also superabsorbent polymers. The present inventor examined the influence of the superabsorbent polymer inevitably remaining in the pulp fiber recovered from the absorber when considering the application to the pulp-containing resin molded product as the recycling of the pulp fiber of the absorber. The present invention has been made by obtaining the knowledge that there is an unexpected positive effect of improving surface gloss and durability. That is, the present invention improves the surface gloss and durability of a pulp-containing resin molded product by mixing a superabsorbent polymer in addition to pulp fibers and a thermoplastic resin (in other words, if the pulp content is the same). The surface gloss and durability are superior to those not containing the superabsorbent polymer).

<Invention of Claim 3>
The pulp-containing resin molded product according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the pulp fiber and the superabsorbent polymer are recovered from the absorbent body of the absorbent article.

At the same time, as described above, there is a situation where the recycling technology of the absorber has not been established. Therefore, it is preferable that the pulp fiber and superabsorbent polymer of the present invention are those recovered from the absorbent body of the absorbent article.

As described above, according to the present invention, advantages such as improved surface gloss and durability in a pulp-containing resin molded product are brought about.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail.
The present invention is a pulp-containing resin molded article comprising pulp fibers, a superabsorbent polymer, and a thermoplastic resin different from the superabsorbent polymer.
Pulp fibers include mechanical pulp such as groundwood pulp (GP), pressure-rise groundwood pulp (PGW), and thermomechanical pulp (TMP), semi-chemical pulp (CP), unbleached kraft pulp (NUKP), and conifer High yield unbleached kraft pulp (HNKP), softwood bleached kraft pulp (NBKP), hardwood unbleached kraft pulp (LUKP), hardwood bleached kraft pulp (LBKP) Among waste paper pulps such as WP) and non-wood pulps derived from kenaf, bamboo, hemp, straw, etc., one or more can be selected and used.
As the superabsorbent polymer, polyacrylate-based superabsorbent polymer, polysulfonate-based superabsorbent polymer, maleic anhydride-based superabsorbent polymer, polyacrylamide-based superabsorbent polymer, polyvinyl alcohol-based superabsorbent One or more selected from the group consisting of polymer, polyaspartic acid-based superabsorbent polymer, polyglutamate-based superabsorbent polymer, polyalginate-based superabsorbent polymer, starch-based superabsorbent polymer, and cellulose-based polymer Can be preferably used. In particular, a polyacrylate highly absorbent polymer that is widely used is preferable from the viewpoint of availability.
The origin of the pulp fiber is not particularly limited, and it may be a waste paper in papermaking or a thing derived from paper such as waste paper, but it is necessary to sufficiently perform a disaggregation process or a pulverization process in order to improve the mixing property with other resins. . On the other hand, since absorbent bodies of absorbent articles such as disposable diapers and sanitary napkins are generally aggregates of pulp fibers that are homogeneous and easily crushed, mixing them when recovered and used From the standpoint of performance and ease of processing, this is preferable. Also, the origin of the superabsorbent polymer is not limited and can be prepared separately from the pulp fiber, but the absorbent article of the absorbent article is in a mixed state of the pulp fiber and the superabsorbent polymer. Since it is common, it is preferable to use it as a raw material as it is, or pulp fibers in which the superabsorbent polymer remains after appropriately collecting the superabsorbent polymer. This is preferable because the mixing treatment of the pulp fiber and the superabsorbent polymer is not necessary.
The thermoplastic resin different from the superabsorbent polymer is not particularly limited, and at least one of an olefin resin, a polyester resin such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and a polyamide resin can be used. In particular, olefinic resins such as polyethylene and polypropylene are suitable.
The blending amount of the pulp fiber, the superabsorbent polymer, and the thermoplastic resin different from the superabsorbent polymer may be appropriately determined, but the total content of the pulp fiber and the superabsorbent polymer in the pulp-containing resin molded product is 10 to 10. It is preferably 60% by weight, in particular 20 to 51% by weight. Moreover, it is preferable that content of the thermoplastic resin different from the superabsorbent polymer in a pulp containing resin molded article is 40 to 90 weight%, especially 49 to 80 weight%. Further, the pulp fiber content in the total content of the pulp fiber and the superabsorbent polymer is preferably 65 to 99.9% by weight, particularly preferably 80 to 99.5% by weight. Moreover, it is preferable that superabsorbent polymer content in the total content of pulp fiber and superabsorbent polymer is 0.1 to 35% by weight, particularly 0.5 to 20% by weight. If the pulp content is too low, the recycling efficiency will be poor, and if it is too high, the surface gloss and durability will be reduced. In addition, if the content of the superabsorbent polymer is too small, the effect of improving the surface gloss and durability becomes weak, and if it exceeds a certain amount, not only the effect of improving the surface gloss and durability is saturated, but also the superabsorbent polymer. Reusing it alone is more cost effective. In Japan, the pulp fiber content may be discarded as paper by setting the pulp fiber content to more than 50% by weight. Therefore, the pulp fiber content is preferably set to more than 50% by weight. When such a high pulp content is used, the surface gloss and durability are conventionally reduced. However, in the present invention, the reduction in surface gloss and durability is suppressed by the addition of the superabsorbent polymer.
As components other than the pulp fiber, the superabsorbent polymer, and the thermoplastic resin different from the superabsorbent polymer, additives such as impurities and colorants can be contained within the scope of the present invention.
The use, shape, and structure of the molded product are not particularly limited, and can be a casing of various products or other parts. In particular, in the case where there is a movable part, such as a container having an opening / closing lid that opens and closes to take out the contents, durability is important, so the molded product of the present invention is applied to at least one of the lid and the container body. It is preferable. Examples of such containers include a slide opening / closing type container as described in JP2013-209120A, and a container main body and a lid as described in JP2011-73685A. A container that opens and closes the lid by bending deformation of the boundary portion of the container, or a container body and a lid body are separate from each other as described in JP 2011-184106 A. Mention may be made of linked hinge-type containers. These are all wet type wiping product containers, but are not limited thereto.
Moreover, functions, such as a well-known liquid interruption | blocking layer and a gas interruption | blocking layer, can also be added to a pulp containing resin molding by coating etc. according to the use.
The pulp-containing resin molded product can be produced by mixing and molding the above raw materials. At the time of production, the above raw materials are mixed to produce pellets and molded using the pellets, or the raw materials can be mixed and pelletized as they are without being pelletized. When recovering the above raw materials from waste materials, they can be mixed after being pulverized as necessary. In particular, when recovering pulp fibers from waste materials, disaggregation can be performed as necessary.
As the raw material mixing apparatus, a known mixing apparatus such as a high-speed fluid mixer and an extruder can be used without any particular limitation.
Moreover, the molding method of a pulp containing resin molded product can use well-known molding methods, such as injection molding, without limitation.
