Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- 基材切断構成と基材バイパス構成とにおいて作動するように、選択的に構成することが可能な回転切断装置であって、
第1の長手方向軸(218)を画定し、前記第1の長手方向軸(218)の周りを回転するように構成され、切断部材(216)を備えた切断ロール(212)と、
第2の長手方向軸(220)を画定し、前記第2の長手方向軸(220)の周りを回転するように構成され、前記第1の長手方向軸(218)が前記第2の長手方向軸(220)と実質的に平行となるように前記切断ロール(212)に対して位置決めされ、外周表面(226)を備え、前記第2の長手方向軸(220)が第1の位置と第2の位置との間において前記第1の長手方向軸(218)に対して選択的に移動可能なアンビルロール(214)と、を備える回転切断装置において、
前記第2の長手方向軸(220)が前記第1の位置へ移動するときに、第1の最小距離(D1)が、前記第1の長手方向軸(218)と前記第2の長手方向軸(220)との間に形成され、
前記第2の長手方向軸(220)が前記第2の位置へ移動するときに、第2の最小距離(D2)が、前記第1の長手方向軸(218)と前記第2の長手方向軸(220)との間に形成され、前記第2の最小距離(D2)が前記第1の最小距離(D1)より大きい、回転切断装置。 - 前記回転切断装置が連続的な基材を前進させるようになっており、前記回転切断装置が前記基材切断構成にあるときに、前記切断ロール(212)が前記連続的な基材を個別の構成要素へと切断し、前記回転装置が前記基材バイパス構成にあるときに、前記連続的な基材が、前記切断ロール(212)によって切断されることなく、前記回転切断装置を通過して前進する、請求項1に記載の回転切断装置。
- 前記アンビルロール(214)が、第1の方向(A)と第2の方向(B)とに向けて選択的に移動可能であり、前記第1の方向(A)が前記第2の方向(B)の反対である、請求項1又は2に記載の回転切断装置。
- 前記第1の長手方向軸及び第2の長手方向軸(218、220)が前記第1の方向及び第2の方向(A、B)に対して直交する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の回転切断装置。
- フレーム(228)を更に備え、前記切断ロール(212)と前記アンビルロール(214)とが前記フレーム(228)に回転可能に連結されている、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の回転切断装置。
- 前記アンビルロール(214)がベアリング(330)に連結されており、前記ベアリング(330)がベアリングブロック(326)に回転可能に連結されており、前記ベアリングブロック(326)が前記フレーム(228)に移動可能に連結されている、請求項5に記載の回転切断装置。
- 前記ベアリングブロック(326)が、前記フレーム(228)上を前記第1及び第2の方向(A、B)にスライドするようになっている、請求項6に記載の回転切断装置。
- 方法であって、
切断ロール(212)とアンビルロール(214)とを備える回転切断装置(210)に向けて基材を機械方向(MD)に前進させる工程と、
第1の長手方向軸(218)の周りに前記切断ロール(212)を回転させる工程と、
前記第1の長手方向軸(218)が第2の長手方向軸(220)と実質的に平行となるように、前記切断ロール(212)に対して位置決めされた前記アンビルロール(214)を、前記切断ロール(212)に隣接する前記第2の長手方向軸(220)の周りに回転させる工程と、
前記第2の長手方向軸(220)を第1の位置に移動させることによって、前記回転切断装置(210)を第1の構成に配置する工程と、
前記第1の構成にある前記回転切断装置(210)によって前記基材を切断する工程と、
前記第2の長手方向軸(220)を第2の位置に移動させることによって、前記回転切断装置(210)を第2の構成に配置する工程と、
前記連続的な基材を切断することなく、前記連続する基材を前記第2の構成にある前記回転切断装置(210)を通過させて前進させる工程と、を含む方法。 - 前記第2の長手方向軸(220)が前記第1の位置にあるときに、第1の最小距離(D1)が、前記第1の長手方向軸(218)と前記第2の長手方向軸(220)との間に形成され、
前記第2の長手方向軸(220)が前記第2の位置にあるときに、第2の最小距離(D2)が、前記第1の長手方向軸(218)と前記第2の長手方向軸(220)との間に形成され、前記第2の最小距離(D2)が前記第1の最小距離(D1)より大きい、請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記第2の長手方向軸(220)を第1の位置に移動することによって、前記回転切断装置(210)を第1の構成に配置する工程が、前記アンビルロール(214)を第1の方向(A)に向けて移動させる工程を更に含み、前記第2の長手方向軸(220)を第2の位置に移動することによって、前記回転切断装置(210)を第2の構成に配置する工程が、前記アンビルロール(214)を第2の方向(B)に向けて移動させる工程を更に含み、前記第1の方向(A)が前記第2の方向(B)の反対である、請求項8又は9に記載の方法。
- 前記第1及び第2の長手方向軸(218、220)が前記第1及び第2の方向(A、B)に対して直交する、請求項8〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- フレーム(228)を更に備え、前記切断ロール(212)と前記アンビルロール(214)とが前記フレーム(228)に回転可能に連結されている、請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記アンビルロール(212)がベアリング(330)に連結されており、前記ベアリング(330)がベアリングブロック(326)に回転可能に連結されており、前記ベアリングブロック(326)が前記フレーム(228)に移動可能に連結されている、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ベアリングブロック(326)が、前記フレーム(228)上を前記第1の方向及び第2の方向(A、B)にスライドするようになっている、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の構成において、前記基材が前記機械方向(MD)に第1の速度V1で前進し、前記第2の構成において、前記基材が前記機械方向(MD)に第2の速度V2で前進し、V2がV1より大きい、請求項8〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
