Description
[0001]本出願は、2012年8月30日出願の米国特許仮出願第61/695,179号に対する、米国特許法第119(e)条下での優先権を主張し、上記文献の開示は、参照によって全体的に本明細書に組み込まれる。
[0012]本発明はまた、UF4を生成する方法であって、上記で論じられた流動床反応器の任意のものにおいてUO2をHF気体と反応させることを含む、方法も提供する。
[0016]図1では、番号1によって示された流動床反応器は、当技術分野で全般的に知られている流動床原理にしたがって作動する。流動床反応器は、反応カラム2を有し、この反応カラム2は、実質的に縦方向に延び、比較的大きい直径の円筒形状のフリーボード部分3と、逆円錐台の管状形状の先細部分4と、比較的小さい直径の円筒形状の流体部分5とを有する。反応カラム2の下側端部には、気体流入手段6が設けられる。気体流入手段6は、反応カラム2の下側端部に配設された気体室7と、気体室7と連結する気体流入管8とを含む。気体は、気体流入管8を通って気体室7に供給され、次いで、気体分配器26を通り反応カラム2の内側を上方向に流れる。反応カラム2にはまた、粒子供給手段9が設けられる。粒子供給手段9は、粒子供給管10を含み、この粒子供給管10は、反応カラム2のフリーボード部分4の周囲壁を通って反応カラム2内に進み、下方向に反応カラム2の流体部分5内へと延びる。粒子供給管10は、粒子供給源11に連結され、この粒子供給源11は、粒子を所定の速度で粒子供給管10に供給し、粒子供給管10は、この粒子を反応カラム2の下側部分、すなわち流体部分5に供給する。こうして、粒子の主要流動床12が、反応カラム2の流体部分5内に形成される。反応カラム2、気体室7および気体流入管8を含む気体流入手段6、ならびに粒子供給管10は、ステンレス鋼または高ニッケル合金などの任意の適切な材料から作製され得る。
Claims (6)
- 流動床反応器であって、
流体部分を有する反応カラムと、
気体を前記反応カラムの前記流体部分を通って上方向に流すための気体流入手段と、
粒子を前記反応カラムの前記流体部分に供給するための粒子供給手段と、
前記反応カラムの前記流体部分から上方向に流れる前記気体から粒子を分離することができるサイクロンであって、前記反応カラム内に位置し、上方向に流れる前記気体と連通し、気体入口開口部と、気体流出開口部と、粒子滴下口とを有するサイクロン本体を備える、サイクロンと、
前記サイクロン本体の前記粒子滴下口に連結された上側部分と、下側部分とを有する粒子排出管であって、前記反応カラムの実質的に外側に位置する、粒子排出管とを備える、流動床反応器。 - 前記粒子排出管の前記下側部分に取り付けられ、前記反応カラムの外側に位置するノックアウトポットであって、前記粒子排出管から排出された粒子を収集することができる、ノックアウトポットをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の流動床反応器。
- 前記粒子排出管に取り付けられ、前記反応カラムの外側に位置する振動装置であって、前記粒子排出管内に蓄積した固体を除去することができる、振動装置をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の流動床反応器。
- 前記粒子排出管に取り付けられ、前記反応カラムの外側に位置する高圧N2パージ管路であって、前記粒子排出管内の重度の詰まりを除去することができる、高圧N2パージ管路をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の流動床反応器。
- 前記粒子排出管もしくは前記ノックアウトポット、またはその両方が、断熱のための手段を備える、請求項2に記載の流動床反応器。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか一項の前記流動床反応器内でUO2をHF気体と反応させるステップを含む、UF4を生成する方法。
