− 「失敗したスキャン」したがって、スキャンの結果が予想に合致しない場合、習慣上のパターンの使用はこれらが通常に戻るまで中止され得る。これは、通常ではない行動、例えば休暇を決定する方法である。
Claims (10)
- パケットベースの第1のネットワークと、該第1のネットワークへのアクセスを提供する複数の無線アクセスネットワークとを備える通信システムにおいて使用するためのモバイル端末であって:
前記無線アクセスネットワークへアクセスするための1つ又は複数のトランシーバと;
当該モバイル端末の現在の地理的位置を決定するように構成される位置決定モジュールと;
前記位置決定モジュールと前記1つ又は複数のトランシーバに結合され、前記1つ又は複数のトランシーバを使用して前記無線アクセスネットワークとの接続関係を形成することにより前記第1のネットワークと通信するように動作可能な処理装置と;
を備え、
前記処理装置は、当該モバイル端末に対する過去の可用性のログ又は当該モバイル端末による前記無線アクセスネットワークのうちの1つ若しくは複数の過去の使用のログを保持するように構成され、
前記処理装置は、前記1つ又は複数のトランシーバのうちの少なくとも1つのトランシーバのアクティブ化を制御して、前記無線アクセスネットワークのうちの1つ又は複数についての後続の可用性をスキャンするように構成され
前記処理装置は、(i)前記位置決定モジュールによって決定される当該モバイル端末の前記現在の地理的位置に応じて前記のスキャン動作が制御される、第1の動作モードと、(ii)前記ログに応じて前記のスキャン動作が制御される、第2の動作モードとを切り替えるように構成される、
モバイル端末。 - 前記処理装置は、前記ログが信頼性の閾値に到達したという条件により、前記第1の動作モードから前記第2の動作モードへ切り替えるように構成される、
請求項1に記載のモバイル端末。 - 前記処理装置は、前記位置決定モジュールを使用して検出される現在の地理的エリアに応じて、前記第1の動作モードと前記第2の動作モードとの間を切り替えるように構成される、
請求項1又は2に記載のモバイル端末。 - 前記第2の動作モードにおける前記のスキャン動作は、前記現在の地理的位置の代わりに、前記のログに応じて制御される、
請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載のモバイル端末。 - 前記第2の動作モードにおいて、前記処理装置は、前記位置決定モジュールをオフに切り替えるか、前記位置決定モジュールを低電力状態に置くように構成される、
請求項4に記載のモバイル端末。 - 前記処理装置は、日、週、月及び/又は年の時間に対する過去の可用性又は使用の前記ログを保持し、前記可用性又は使用において習慣的基準で相違が生じることが予想される日、週、月及び/又は年の1又は複数の時間を識別し、該1又は複数の識別された時間を、日、週、月及び/又は年での現在の時間と比較するように構成され、
前記第2の動作モードにおける前記のスキャン動作は、前記1又は複数の識別された時間と前記現在の時間との前記の比較に応じて制御される、
請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載のモバイル端末。 - 前記処理装置は、前記のスキャン動作のインスタンスを標準の速度で実行し、前記の比較に応じて前記速度を変化させることによって前記アクティブ化を制御するよう構成されるか、あるいは前記のスキャン動作のインスタンスを前記1又は複数の識別された時間のうちのある時間においてトリガすることによって前記アクティブ化を制御するように構成され、
前記1又は複数の識別された時間は、1又は複数の識別された時間枠あるいは1又は複数の時間における点を備える、
請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載のモバイル端末。 - 前記処理装置は、前記のスキャン動作に応じて、前記無線アクセスネットワークのうち複数の利用可能な無線アクセスネットワークのいずれかを自動的に選択して、前記第1のネットワークへ接続するのに使用するように構成される、請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載のモバイル端末。
- 前記無線アクセスネットワークは、複数の無線ローカルエリアネットワークと、1つ又は複数の無線ワイドエリアネットワークとを備え、前記1つ又は複数のトランシーバは、前記無線ローカルエリアネットワークに接続するためのローカルトランシーバと、前記無線ワイドエリアネットワークに接続するための追加のトランシーバとを備え、
前記処理装置は、前記接続関係のうちの1つ又は複数を使用して、生のパケットベースの音声又はビデオコールの形で前記第1のネットワーク上で通信を行うように構成され、
前記処理装置は、前記コールが進行中の間、前記のスキャン動作に応じて、前記第1のネットワークへ前記無線ワイドエリアネットワークのうちの1つ又は前記無線ローカルエリアネットワークのうちの1つを介して接続するかどうかを自動的に選択するように構成される、
請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載のモバイル端末。 - パケットベースの第1のネットワークと、該第1のネットワークへのアクセスを提供する複数の無線アクセスネットワークとを備える通信システムにおいて使用するためのコンピュータプログラムであって、当該コンピュータプログラムは、コンピュータ読取可能媒体上に具現化され、モバイル端末の処理装置によって実行されると:
前記モバイル端末の1つ又は複数のトランシーバを使用して無線アクセスネットワークとの接続関係を形成することにより前記第1のネットワークと通信する動作と、
前記モバイル端末に対する過去の可用性のログ又は前記モバイル端末による前記無線アクセスネットワークのうちの1つ若しくは複数の過去の使用のログを保持する動作と、
前記1つ又は複数のトランシーバのうちの少なくとも1つのトランシーバのアクティブ化を制御して、前記無線アクセスネットワークのうちの1つ又は複数についての後続の可用性をスキャンする動作と、
(i)前記モバイル端末の現在の地理的位置に応じて前記のスキャン動作が制御される、第1の動作モードと、(ii)前記ログに応じて前記のスキャン動作が制御される、第2の動作モードとを切り替える動作と、
を実行させるように構成されたコードを備える、コンピュータプログラム。
