Abstract
Description
本出願は、2012年5月18日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/648,707号、2012年5月18日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/648,766号及び同第61/648,884号の利益及び優先権を主張し、その全体が本願明細書に援用されている。
本開示は、概してカプセル化粒子に関するものである。更に詳細には、本開示は、コア粒子、ポリウレタン層、及びワックスを含むカプセル化粒子に関するものである。
層、例えば、硫黄層、及びコア粒子を含むカプセル化粒子は当該技術分野で公知である。硫黄層の厚さと外的完全性は、コア粒子が放出される、例えば、溶解する速度を制限する。従来技術のカプセル化粒子は、多量の硫黄、例えば、カプセル化粒子の全質量を基準として15質量%を上回る硫黄を必要とする傾向があり、それによって、カプセル化粒子中に存在するコア粒子の全体量を減少させている。更に、硫黄からなる層は、脆性を示す傾向があり且つ取り扱い中に破壊を受ける。硫黄層が破壊するか又は亀裂が入る場合、コア粒子の一部が速やかに放出され、残りのコア粒子は、コア粒子を速やかに溶解し得る水及び他の液体に部分的に曝されたままになり、従って制御放出を防ぐ。コア粒子の速やかな溶解は、通常、コア粒子をカプセル化する少なくとも1つの目的が、経時的なコア粒子の制御放出を達成することであるため、望ましくない。
カプセル化粒子が開示されている。カプセル化粒子は、コア粒子、コア粒子の周りに配置されたポリウレタン層、及びポリウレタン層の周りに配置されたワックスを含む。ポリウレタン層は、イソシアネートとポリオール成分との反応生成物を含む。ポリオール成分は、芳香族アミン系開始剤から誘導された触媒ポリオール及び該触媒ポリオールとは異なるポリエーテルポリオールを、約1:2〜約10:1の質量比で含む。コア粒子は、コア粒子を提供する工程、イソシアネートを提供する工程、ポリオール成分を提供する工程、及びワックスを提供する工程を含む方法でカプセル化される。この方法はまた、イソシアネートとポリオール成分とを混合し且つ反応させてポリウレタンを形成する工程、該ポリウレタンを含むポリウレタン層でコア粒子をカプセル化する工程並びにポリウレタン層をワックスでカプセル化する工程も含む。更に、コア粒子をポリウレタン層でカプセル化するためのシステムが提供される。該システムは、イソシアネートとポリオール成分を含む。
カプセル化粒子は、コア粒子、コア粒子の周りに配置されたポリウレタン層、及び該ポリウレタン層の周りに配置されたワックスを含む。コア粒子は、通常、カルシウム、マグネシウム、窒素、リン、カリウム、硫黄、及びそれらの組合せを含み得る肥料を含む。肥料は、窒素肥料、リン酸肥料、カリ肥料、硫酸肥料、及びそれらの組み合わせ、例えば、混合肥料の群から選択され得る。適切な肥料としては、限定されずに、無水アンモニア、尿素、硝酸アンモニウム、尿素硝酸アンモニウム、カルシウム硝酸アンモニウム、リン酸、リン酸モノアンモニウム、ポリリン酸アンモニウム、リン酸硫酸アンモニウム、炭酸カリウム、硝酸アンモニウム、硫酸アンモニウム、硫酸、及びそれらの組み合わせが挙げられる。一実施態様では、肥料は、尿素などの窒素肥料である。一実施態様では、肥料は、硫酸アンモニウムである。

Claims (19)
- カプセル化粒子であって、
A.コア粒子;
B.前記コア粒子の周りに配置され且つ
(i)イソシアネートと、
(ii)ポリオール成分であって、
a.芳香族アミン系開始剤から誘導された触媒ポリオール、及び
b.前記触媒ポリオールとは異なるポリエーテルポリオール
を含む前記ポリオール成分と、の反応生成物を含む、ポリウレタン層;及び
C.前記ポリウレタン層の周りに配置されたワックス
を含み、
その際、前記触媒ポリオール対前記ポリオール成分中の前記ポリエーテルポリオールの質量比が約1:2〜約10:1であり;且つ
前記コア粒子が、38℃での水中での前記カプセル化粒子の老化の7日後に60質量%未満の溶解率を有する、前記カプセル化粒子。 - 前記触媒ポリオールが、約2.5〜約8の公称官能価及び/又は約100〜約700mg KOH/gのヒドロキシル価を有する、請求項1又は2に記載のカプセル化粒子。
- 前記触媒ポリオールが、25℃で約400〜約25000cPの粘度及び/又は約240〜約2250g/モルの数平均分子量を有する、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化粒子。
- 前記ポリエーテルポリオールが、約2.5〜約5の公称官能価及び約20〜約300mg KOH/gのヒドロキシル価及び/又は25℃で約100〜約10000cPの粘度を有する、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化粒子。
- 前記ポリエーテルポリオールが、約400〜約15000g/モルの数平均分子量を有する、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化粒子。
- 前記ワックスが石油ワックスを含む、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化粒子。
- 前記コア粒子が尿素を含む、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化粒子。
- 前記ポリウレタン層が、ポリオルガノシロキサンの存在下で反応した前記イソシアネートと前記ポリオール成分との反応生成物として更に規定される、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化粒子。
- 前記コア粒子が、38℃での水中での前記カプセル化粒子の老化の7日後に25質量%未満の溶解率を有する、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化粒子。
- コア粒子のカプセル化方法であって、
A.コア粒子を提供する工程;
B.イソシアネートを提供する工程;
C.ポリオール成分であって、
a.芳香族アミン系開始剤から誘導された触媒ポリオール、及び
b.前記触媒ポリオールとは異なるポリエーテルポリオール
を含む前記ポリオール成分を提供する工程;
E.ワックスを提供する工程;
F.イソシアネートとポリオール成分とを混合して反応させてポリウレタンを形成する工程;
G.コア粒子をポリウレタンを含むポリウレタン層でカプセル化する工程;及び
H.ポリウレタン層をワックスでカプセル化する工程
を含み、
その際、触媒ポリオール対ポリオール成分のポリエーテルポリオールの質量比が約1:2〜約10:1であり;且つ
コア粒子が、38℃での水中での前記カプセル化粒子の老化の7日後に60質量%未満の溶解率を有する、前記方法。 - ワックスが石油ワックスを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- ポリウレタン層が、ポリオルガノシロキサンの存在下で反応した前記イソシアネートと前記ポリオール成分との反応生成物として更に規定される、請求項11又は12に記載の方法。
- コア粒子、イソシアネート、及びポリオール成分のうち少なくとも1つを、イソシアネートとポリオール成分との混合工程の前に又は該工程と同時に40℃を上回る温度に加熱する工程を更に含む、請求項11から13までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- イソシアネートとポリオール成分との混合工程を、コア粒子をポリウレタン層でカプセル化する工程の前に実施する、請求項11から14までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- イソシアネートとポリオール成分との混合工程を、コア粒子をポリウレタン層でカプセル化する工程と同時に実施する、請求項11から14までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- イソシアネートをコア粒子上に吹き付ける工程とポリオール成分をコア粒子上に吹き付ける工程を更に含む、請求項11から16までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- イソシアネートをコア粒子上に吹き付ける工程を、ポリオール成分をコア粒子上に吹き付ける工程の前に実施する、請求項17に記載の方法。
- コア粒子をポリウレタン層でカプセル化するためのシステムであって、
A.イソシアネート;及び
B.ポリオール成分であって、
i.以下の式
R2〜R6のそれぞれが独立して、R1〜R6のうち少なくとも1つがアミン基である限り、アミン基及び水素のうちの1つを含む)
のものを含む芳香族アミン系開始剤から誘導された触媒ポリオール、及び
