Abstract
Description
本出願は、「小型化した薬剤送出器具部分を有する自己注射器および製造方法」という名称で2012年3月13日に提出された米国仮出願第61/610184号と、「小型化した薬剤送出部を有する注入器具およびその製造方法」という名称で2012年6月18日に提出された米国仮出願第61/661032号と、「小型化した薬剤送出器具の製造方法」という名称で2012年3月13日に提出された米国仮出願第61/610189号と、「小型化した薬剤送出器具の製造方法」という名称で2012年6月18日に提出された米国仮出願第61/661020と、「統合化した注入システムおよび通信機器」という名称で2012年7月10日に提出された米国仮出願第61/669846号とに対する優先権を請求する。
R=L3Functional_portion/L3housing
による器具の機能的(例えば薬剤送出)部分のL3長さと、器具の非機能的部分、すなわちハウジング部のL3長さとの割合である。この「機能的部分」は流体注入に必要な器具の構成要素を意味する。一般的な注射器において、「機能的部分」は、針と、液体薬剤を収容するためのリザーバーと、プランジャーの如き排除機構との如き送出構造を含む。彫刻の如き本来美的な物品は、0近傍のR値を有する。

自己予防接種行為を仮想で行うための器具の選択肢として、5つの器具設計が20人
の官能試験員に提示された。この仮想行為が選択されたのは、これが医療従事者によって昔から行われているという慣例のためである。それぞれの場合において、官能試験員にはこの器具の使い方に関する指示が与えられていた。器具1は、上述したような図2A〜図2Dに示す腕輪に似せた送出器具であった。器具1が使用者の前腕に優しく装着され、投与終了表示器を含んでいる。器具1は、適切に用いられるように心地良くかつ元気付ける素振りと結び付く装飾的で不快感を与えない物品を示唆するように意図していた。この器具1のR値はおよそ0.3であり、AR値は3.525である。R1値は3.80(380%)である。これは官能試験員の50%によって好ましい設計であると選択されていた。
Claims (33)
- 小型化した薬剤送出部を持つ自己注射器であって、
内容積を有するハウジングと、
このハウジング内に収まる容積を持った薬剤送出部と
を具え、この薬剤送出部は
使用者に送出する流体を収容するリザーバーと、
このリザーバーと流体連通状態にあって前記ハウジングを通って突出可能な微小針と、
この微小針を介して流体を前記リザーバーから押し出すための駆動機構と
を具え、前記薬剤送出部の容積が前記ハウジングの内容積の40%よりも少ないことを特徴とする自己注射器。 - 前記薬剤送出部の容積が前記ハウジングの内容積の30%よりも少ないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の自己注射器。
- 前記薬剤送出部の容積が前記ハウジングの内容積の20%よりも少ないことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の自己注射器。
- 前記微小針が皮内注射用に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記微小針は、前記ハウジングから1mmと2mmとの間の距離を突出可能であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の自己注射器。
- 前記リザーバーは、1回分の投与量のワクチンおよび薬剤および治療薬の少なくとも1つを収容することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記駆動機構は、1回分の投与量が臨床的に妥当な割合にて連続的に送出されるように、前記リザーバーから流体を押し出すことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記臨床的に妥当な割合が10秒よりも長くない総送出時間であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の自己注射器。
- 前記駆動機構に係合するアクティベーターをさらに具えたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項8の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記アクティベーターは前記駆動機構と組み合わされる無線受信器を具え、この無線受信器が外部制御機器からの作動指令を受信した場合、前記アクティベーターは前記駆動機構に係合するように形成されていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の自己注射器。
- 前記アクティベーターが係合した場合、前記駆動機構は流体を前記リザーバーから受動的に押し出すことを特徴とする請求項9または請求項10に記載の自己注射器。
- 前記リザーバーから流体がほぼ押し出された時を使用者に知らせる表示器をさらに具えたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項11の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 無線トランスミッターをさらに具え、この無線トランスミッターは、前記リザーバーから流体がほぼ押し出された時に警報を外部制御機器へと伝送するように形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項12の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記薬剤送出部のアスペクト比が等式
- 前記ハウジングの内容積のアスペクト比と前記機能的部分のアスペクト比との間の割合が125%よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項14の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記駆動機構は前記リザーバーに結合される複数の膨張可能な部材を具え、これら膨張可能な部材は、作動時に膨張して前記リザーバーから流体を押し出すことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項15の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記膨張可能な部材は、水にさらされた場合に膨張する親水性イオン粒子か、または熱で作動する膨張可能な胞体を具えていることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の自己注射器。
- 小型化した薬剤送出部を持つ自己注射器であって、
内容積を有するハウジングと、
このハウジング内に収まる容積を持った薬剤送出部と
を具え、この薬剤送出部は、
使用者に送出される流体を収容するリザーバーと、
このリザーバーと流体連通状態にあって前記ハウジングを通って突出可能な微小針と、
この微小針を介して前記リザーバーから流体を押し出すための駆動機構と
を具え、等式R=L3Functional_portion/L3housingにより規定した自己注射器の値Rが50%よりも小さいことを特徴とする自己注射器。 - 前記値Rが40%よりも大きくないことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の自己注射器。
- 前記薬剤送出部のアスペクト比が等式
- 前記ハウジングの内容積のアスペクト比と前記機能的部分のアスペクト比との割合が125%よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項18から請求項20の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記ハウジングの対応する長さで割った前記薬剤送出部の寸法が40%よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項18から請求項21の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記ハウジングの対応する長さで割った前記薬剤送出部の寸法が30%よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項18から請求項22の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記ハウジングの対応する長さで割った前記薬剤送出部の寸法が25%よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項18から請求項23の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 流体を収容する前記リザーバーが1回分の投与量の治療薬を収容することを特徴とする請求項18から請求項24の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記駆動機構は、1回分の投与量が臨床的に妥当な割合にて連続的に送出されるように、前記リザーバーから流体を押し出すことを特徴とする請求項18から請求項25の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記駆動機構に係合するアクティベーターをさらに具えたことを特徴とする請求項18から請求項26の何れか1つに記載の自己注射器。
- 前記アクティベーターは前記駆動機構と組み合わされる無線受信器を具え、この無線受信器が外部制御機器からの作動指令を受信した場合、前記アクティベーターは前記駆動機構に係合するように形成されていることを特徴とする請求項27に記載の自己注射器。

を具えたことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記自己注射器の駆動機構は前記外部制御装置から送られる信号によって作動させられることを特徴とする請求項31に記載のシステム。
- 前記自己注射器は前記リザーバーからの流体の排除がほぼ完了した場合に前記外部制御装置に信号を送ることを特徴とする請求項31または請求項32に記載のシステム。
