Abstract
Description
本願は、2013年3月12日に出願された米国特許出願第13/797,610号の継続出願である。米国特許出願第13/797,610号は、2012年4月3日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/619,719号の利益を主張する。米国特許仮出願第61/619,719号は、「エレクトロクロミックデバイスのためのパターン化された不明瞭線」との題名を有し、その開示内容は、参照することにより本明細書に組み込まれる。

Claims (24)
- 基板と、
前記基板の可視領域内の前記基板の一部を覆い、前記基板の前記可視領域の外側境界から間隔を置いた外側エッジを有するエレクトロクロミックコーティングであって、前記エレクトロクロミックコーティングの前記外側エッジと前記可視領域の前記外側境界とは作業領域の境界を定める、エレクトロクロミックコーティングと、
前記作業領域内に配置され、複数の相隔たる形状を含む少なくとも1つのパターン化層と
を備えるエレクトロクロミックデバイス。 - 前記デバイスはフレームに挿入され、前記形状は、(i)前記エレクトロクロミックコーティングの前記外側エッジ、(ii)前記デバイスと前記フレームとの間のシールの内側エッジ、及び(iii)前記フレームの内側リムのうち少なくとも1つに対して平行である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記形状は線である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記線は平行である、請求項3に記載のデバイス。
- 前記形状は点である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記点は少なくとも、第1の線に沿って配置された第1の複数の点と、第2の線に沿って配置された第2の複数の点とを含み、前記第1の複数の点は、前記第2の複数の点に対して平行である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記第1の複数の点の各点は第1の寸法を有し、前記第2の複数の点の各点は第2の寸法を有し、前記第1の寸法は前記第2の寸法と異なる、請求項6に記載のデバイス。
- 前記点は少なくとも、第3の線に沿って配置された第3の複数の点をさらに含み、前記第3の複数の点は、前記第1の複数の点および前記第2の複数の点に対して平行であり、
前記第1の複数の点の各点は第1の半径を有し、前記第2の複数の点の各点は第2の半径を有し、前記第3の複数の点の各点は第3の半径を有し、
前記第2の複数の点は、前記第1の複数の点と前記第3の複数の点との間にあり、
前記第1の複数の点の前記第1の半径は、前記第2の複数の点の前記第2の半径より大きく、
前記第2の複数の点の前記第2の半径は、前記第3の複数の点の前記第3の半径より大きい、請求項7に記載のデバイス。 - 前記形状のうち少なくともいくつかは、異なる幅および異なる厚さのうち少なくとも1つを有する、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記デバイスはフレームに挿入され、前記可視領域は、前記デバイスと前記フレームとの間のシールの内側エッジ、及び前記フレームの内側リムのうちの1つにより境界を定められている、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記相隔たる形状のうちのいくつかは、前記相隔たる形状のその他の形状と異なる形状を有する、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記形状は、円形、三角形および長方形のいずれかを含む、請求項11に記載のデバイス。
- 前記パターン化層は、約1μm〜約50μmの厚さを有する、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記基板は、反射コーティング、太陽光制御コーティングおよび光触媒コーティングのうちの少なくとも1つのコーティングを備え、前記パターン化層は、前記少なくとも1つのコーティングに配置される、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記基板は4つの側面を有し、前記パターン化層は、前記基板の(i)1つのみの側面、(ii)2つのみの側面、(iii)3つのみの側面、及び(iv)4つすべての側面のうちの1つに施される、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記パターン化層のうちの少なくとも一部は、複数の重なり合う層から形成される、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記複数の重なり合う層のうちの少なくとも1つの層は、前記複数の重なり合う層のうちの別の1つとは異なる色を有する、請求項16に記載のデバイス。
- 前記相隔たる形状のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記相隔たる形状のうちのその他の1つとは異なる色を有する、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記パターン化層が、前記基板上であって、前記可視領域内で前記エレクトロクロミックコーティングの前記外側エッジの突出部に重なるように、前記パターン化層が前記基板上に配置されている、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- エレクトロクロミックデバイスであって、前記デバイスはフレームに挿入され、前記デバイスは、
基板と、
前記基板の可視領域内で前記基板の一部を覆うエレクトロクロミックコーティングであって、前記可視領域が、シールの内側エッジ及び前記フレームの内側リムのうちの1つにより境界を定められ、前記エレクトロクロミックコーティングが、前記基板の前記可視領域の外側境界から間隔を置いた外側エッジを有し、前記エレクトロクロミックコーティングの前記外側エッジと前記可視領域の前記外側境界とが作業領域の境界を定める、エレクトロクロミックコーティングと、
前記作業領域内に配置され、(i)複数の相隔たる線、及び(ii)相隔たる複数の点のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、少なくとも1つのパターン化層と
を備えるエレクトロクロミックデバイス。 - 少なくとも1つのエッジを有する薄膜のスタックと、
前記薄膜エッジの上部に配置され、前記エッジの長さのおおよそ全長にわたって延びており、(i)一連の線、及び(ii)一連の点のうちの少なくとも1つを含む少なくとも1つのパターン化層と
を備える基板。 - 前記スタックは、少なくとも1つのエレクトロクロミック材料を含む、請求項21に記載の基板。
- 前記エレクトロクロミック材料は、タングステン−ニッケル酸化物の混合物を含む、請求項22に記載の基板。
- 前記エレクトロクロミック材料は、タングステン酸化物である、請求項22に記載の基板。
