Abstract
Description
ピールプライ保護表面(「BMS 8−255、タイプI、クラス2、スタイル3K−70−PW」型のプリプレグ材)を敷き、BAC5317−4に従って硬化させた。
アンカーの実施例1
#8〜32の耐食鋼製セルフクリンチング・フラッシュ・ヘッド・スタッドの頭部を、公称直径が2インチ(5.08cm)の1層のガラス繊維エポキシプリプレグ(Cytec Industries,Inc.製(Woodland Park、New Jersey)から「FIBERITE MXB 7701〜7781」の商品名で販売)の上に配置した。同一のガラス繊維プリプレグ材料を2層にしたものに、#8〜32のスタッドよりわずかに大きい孔を切り込んだ。その後、2層にしたプリプレグを前記スタッドの上に配置し、下に置かれた単層のプリプレグと密着するように押圧し、この締結具の頭部を層の間に包み込んだ。#8の耐食鋼製ワッシャーを、前記2層にしたプリプレグに対して、スタッドの上に配置した。3M Company(St.Paul、Minnesota)から「7301−HB EXPRESS LOW VISCOSITY IMPRESSION MATERIAL」の商品名で入手した、ビニルポリシロキサン印象材で、プラスチック製配管用キャップを満たし、該キャップでスタッドを覆って固定した。その後、このスタッド組立体を真空バッグ内部に配置し、名目上25インチHg(63.5mmHg)(84.6kPa)の真空を適用した。その後、前記バッグを封止し、45psi(310.3kPa)、120℃で90分、オートクレーブ内で硬化させた。冷却後、プリプレグ層を、およそ直径1.5インチ(3.81cm)に切り取り、スタッドからキャップを取り外した。その後、プリプレグ層の下面を、100グリットのサンドペーパーで研磨し、接着に先立ってイソプロピルアルコールでふき取った。
概ねアンカーの実施例1の製造手順が繰り返されたが、プリプレグのベース部の下に、Precision Fabrics Company(Greensboro、North Carolina)から入手した、「BMS 8−308 TYPE III」型のポリエステル製ピールプライを使用した。ポリエステル製ピールプライは、アンカーを炭素繊維複合基材に接着する直前に取り除き、付加的な表面処理工程は何ら行われなかった。
DP−100:透明二液型エポキシ接着剤、3M Company(St.Paul、Minnesota)から「SCOTCH−WELD DP100 TWO PART CLEAR EPOXY ADHESIVE」の商品名で販売
DP 460:二液型エポキシ接着剤、3M Companyから「SCOTCH−WELD DP460 TWO PART EPOXY ADHESIVE」の商品名で販売
DP−807:二液型アクリル接着剤、3M Companyから「SCOTCH−WELD DP807 TWO PART ACRYLIC ADHESIVE」の商品名で販売
SBT−9214:0.51インチ(13mm)の構造用接合テープ、3M Companyから「STRUCTURAL BONDING TAPE 9214」の商品名で販売
VHB−4618:両面コーティング汎用白色アクリルフォームテープ、「VHB TAPE 4618」の商品名で販売
LC−1214:一成分紫外線硬化性中〜高粘度接着剤、3M Companyから「LIGHT CURE ADHESIVE LC−1214」の商品名で販売
DP−100を、ねじ山付き複合ベース部アンカーの下面に適用し、その後、該ねじ山付き複合ベース部アンカーを炭素繊維複合基材上に手作業で押圧し、75°F(23.9℃)で24時間硬化させた。
概ね比較例Aに記載した手順が繰り返されたが、DP−100に代えて、DP−460及びDP−807を用い、それぞれ比較例B及び比較例Cとした。
SBT−9214テープの名目上の直径が2インチ(5.08cm)の円盤から、一方のライナーを取り除き、ねじ山付き複合ベース部アンカーの下面に付着させた。その後、テープから反対側のライナーを取り除いてから、ねじ山付き複合ベース部アンカーのベース部を複合基材に付着させた。その後、ねじ山付き複合ベース部アンカーを、3M Company製「UV CURING LAMP 2500」モデルを用いて、およそ5mmの距離で、120秒間紫外線に露光させた。
概ね実施例1に記載した手順が繰り返されたが、まずSBT−9214テープを複合基材に適用してから、ねじ山付き複合ベース部アンカーの下面をテープ上に押圧した。
VHB−4618テープの一部分を、外径が1.5インチ(3.81cm)かつ内径がおよそ1.25インチ(3.12cm)の、およそ330°の円周を有する、「C字」状の弧に切り取った。テープから、一方のライナーを取り除き、該テープをアンカーの下面に付着させた。その後、テープから反対側のライナーを取り除いてから、アンカーを、炭素繊維複合基材上に手作業で押圧した。その後、LC−1214を、アンカーと基材との間のギャップ部に、「C字」状の弧の間隔を介して、注入した。この組立体は、およそ5mmの距離で、紫外線硬化ランプに30秒露光して硬化させた。
DP−100を、ねじ山付き複合ベース部アンカーの下面に適用し、その後、該アンカーを、炭素繊維複合基材上に手作業で押圧し、およそ5mmの距離で、紫外線硬化ランプに30秒露光して硬化させた。
Claims (19)
- ベース部に取り付けられたスタッドを備える、基材に対してスタッドを適用するためのアンカーであって、前記ベース部は実質的に紫外線透過性であるアンカー。
- 前記ベース部は紫外線硬化性接着剤を有する、請求項1に記載のアンカー。
- 前記紫外線硬化性接着剤は液体である、請求項2に記載のアンカー。
- 前記紫外線硬化性接着剤は固体又はゲルである、請求項2に記載のアンカー。
- 前記ベース部は感圧性接着剤を有する、請求項1に記載のアンカー。
- 前記感圧性接着剤はリング状にパターニングされている、請求項5に記載のアンカー。
- 前記感圧性接着剤はC字型の弧状にパターニングされている、請求項5に記載のアンカー。
- 前記ベース部は感圧性接着剤及び紫外線硬化性接着剤を有する、請求項1に記載のアンカー。
- 前記感圧性接着剤はリング状にパターニングされている、請求項8に記載のアンカー。
- 前記ベース部は、紫外線硬化性接着剤である感圧性接着剤を有する、請求項1に記載のアンカー。
- a)ベース部に取り付けられたスタッドを備えるアンカーを提供する工程であって、前記ベース部は実質的に紫外線透過性である、工程と、
b)紫外線硬化性接着剤を前記ベース部に適用する工程と、
c)前記アンカーを基材に適用する工程と、
