Claims (16)
- 細長の管状体と、

該バルーンに配置された制限構造であって、該制限構造は長手方向波状曲線支柱によって接続された、複数の正弦波形状の半径方向のリングを備え、該制限構造は該バルーンの膨張径よりも小さい膨張径を有する、該制限構造と
を備える、バルーンカテーテル。 - 前記制限構造が、前記バルーンの遠位端部及び/又は近位端部の、前記カテーテルに取り付けられる、請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記制限構造の拡張時の直径が、前記バルーンの拡張時の直径よりも約0.15〜0.3mm小さい、請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記バルーンが、膨張時の前記制限構造を通って突出するピローを備える、請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 制限構造であって、該制限構造は、
該制限構造の長さに沿って間隔を空けて配置された複数の半径方向のリングと、
該制限構造の円周に沿って間隔を空けて配置された複数の長手方向の支柱とを備え、
該制限構造は、バルーンカテーテルを覆うように配置されるよう構成され、拡張状態と萎んだ状態を有し、萎んだ状態になるために付勢される、該制限構造。 - 前記半径方向のリングが、前記制限構造の近位端部に向かって延びる一以上の第一ピークと、前記制限構造の遠位端部に向かって延びる一以上の第二ピークを備える、請求項5に記載の制限構造。
- 前記長手方向の支柱が、前記制限構造の一端部から、前記制限構造の反対の端部の最も近くに位置する半径方向のリングに向かって延びる、請求項6に記載の制限構造。
- 各長手方向支柱が、前記制限構造への取り付け点に最も近い、半径方向のリングのピークに取り付けられる、請求項7に記載の制限構造。
- 前記リングが、一以上の正弦状の曲線を備える、請求項5に記載の制限構造。
- 前記支柱の数が、前記リングの正弦状の曲線の数の2倍である、請求項9に記載の制限構造。
- 前記長手方向の支柱が、波状曲線の支柱である、請求項5に記載の制限構造。
- 患者の血管内でバルーンカテーテルを拡張するための方法であって、該方法は、
バルーンが患者の血管内の治療部位に近接するように、該バルーンカテーテルを配置するステップであって、該バルーンカテーテルは、該バルーンを覆うように配置された制限構造を備え、該制限構造は半径方向の正弦波形状のリングと接続する複数の長手方向の支柱を備え、該制限構造は萎んだ状態になるために付勢される、前記配置するステップと、
該バルーンを膨張させるステップであって、これにより該制限構造を拡張し、該バルーンに近接する血管壁に非均一的な圧力をもたらす、前記膨張させるステップと
を備える方法。 - 前記バルーンを膨張させて前記制限構造を拡張させることは、該制限構造内に、ほぼ四角形のウィンドウのパターンを備える経路のパターンを作り出す、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記バルーンを膨張させて前記制限構造を拡張させることにより、バルーンピローが前記ウィンドウを通って突出させる、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記制限構造を拡張させることが、該制限構造を半径方向に拡張させることを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記制限構造を拡張させることが、膨張時の前記バルーンの形状及び/又はサイズを修正し、制限し、および制御することの内少なくとも一つを備える、請求項12に記載の方法。
