Abstract
Description
実施例
1)試験方法
(i) 卵胞嚢腫の疑われる母牛の卵巣機能の改善状況を確認するために、分娩終了以後に罹患が疑われた母牛5頭に対して、個体ごとに通常のホルモン処置(CIDR:黄体ホルモン、GnRh、エストラジオールなど)を施すと共に、下記組成からなる繁殖能の改善剤組成物(以下「ハーブ製剤」という)の給与を行った。ハーブ製剤の給与条件は1日1頭当たり20gを20〜90日間、場合によってはその反復で給与した。
ハーブ製剤の組成
ハーブ製剤は、重量%基準で、センシンレン抽出物10%、キクニガナ根粉末10%、タカサブロウ抽出物10%、マリアアザミ抽出物10%、キダチコミカンソウ抽出物10%、イヌホオズキ抽出物10%、甘草抽出物10%、植物油10%、カボチャの種子末4%、オオバコの種子末4%、スイカズラの花末4%、ベニバナの花末4%および大豆油4%からなり(全体で100%)、無水ケイ酸、および賦形剤として米ぬか、油かすなどを適量含む。
(ii)ハーブ製剤の給与前後あるいは中間時点で採血を行った。生化学検査の指標として、コルチゾール(μg/ml)、プロゲステロン(ng/ml)、エストロゲン(pg/ml)等の血中ホルモン濃度検査(アークレイ社製SPOTKEM(登録商標)VIDAS sv−5010型)を実施した。
(iii) さらに、エコー(HONDA社製HS−101V 型)による画像診断も行った。発情の有無については妊娠鑑定(エコー検査、直腸検査)を実施した。
2)試験結果
試験の結果は下記の通りである。
(i) 固体別の繁殖に関する試験結果を表1に示す。上記のようにホルモン処置にハーブ給与を併用した母5頭中5頭(妊娠4頭、発情5頭、卵巣機能改善5頭)において、繁殖性において改善の傾向がみられた(表1中に○印で示す)。
BIL(ビリルビン):mg/dl、GOT(グルタミン酸オキサロ酢酸トランスアミナーゼ):IU/L、GPT(グルタミン酸ピルビン酸トランスアミナーゼ):IU/L、GGT(γ−グルタミルトランスペプチターゼ):IU/L、GLU(グルコース):mg/dL、T−Cho(総コレステロール):mg/dL、BUN(血中尿素窒素):mg/dL、コルチゾール:μg/ml、プロゲステロン:ng/ml、エストロゲン:pg/ml。
母牛にハーブを給与することにより、卵胞嚢腫が疑われる牛の血中ホルモン濃度は、コルチゾールならびにプロゲステロンについては減少させるが、エストロゲンについては影響を与えないという傾向があり、e/p比は上昇し、10〜25の範囲で良好な発情の兆候がみられることが示唆された(図1)。
エコーによる診断の結果は、ハーブの給与は、5頭中5頭の個体において卵巣機能の回復を示した。個体別にみると、高齢または腫瘍が疑われた個体を除くと、ホルモン処置だけでは反応しなかった「はるか」以外の4頭がハーブ給与を併せることにより妊娠に至った(図2〜図6)。
Claims (3)
- 重量%基準で、センシンレン抽出物5〜15%、キクニガナ根粉末5〜15%、タカサブロウ抽出物5〜15%、マリアアザミ抽出物5〜15%、キダチコミカンソウ抽出物5〜15%、イヌホオズキ抽出物5〜15%、甘草抽出物5〜15%、植物油5〜15%、カボチャの種子末0〜5%、オオバコの種子末0〜5%、スイカズラの花末0〜5%、ベニバナの花末0〜5%および大豆油0〜5%からなる、繁殖母牛における繁殖能の改善剤組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の繁殖能の改善剤組成物を牛の飼料に対し0.05〜1重量%の割合で給与することを特徴とする、繁殖母牛における繁殖能の改善方法。
- 牛にホルモン処置を施すと共に、請求項1に記載の繁殖能の改善剤組成物を牛の飼料に対し0.05〜1重量%の割合で給与することを特徴とする、繁殖母牛における繁殖能の改善方法。
