Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a light emitting device used as a light source of, for example, a laser printer and a digital copying machine, a manufacturing method thereof, and an exposure head.
For example, in an image forming apparatus such as a laser printer or a digital copying machine, a laser beam emitted from a light source is scanned by a rotating polygon mirror, and passes through a scanning lens on a photoconductor as a medium to be scanned. Exposure to form an electrostatic latent image. The exposure head of the light source includes a light emitting element such as an organic electroluminescent element (hereinafter referred to as an organic EL element) that emits light with electric power, and a drive circuit that drives the light emitting element.
Here, the organic EL element is easily affected by moisture and oxygen, and when moisture, oxygen and the like enter the organic EL element, the characteristics of the organic EL element such as luminance are deteriorated. Various techniques have been proposed for improving the durability of organic EL elements against moisture and oxygen, such as forming a transparent thin film or a protective film such as a plate glass on top of light emitting elements on a high-density integrated circuit. ing.
However, even when the conventional technique is used, there is a problem that the characteristics of the organic EL element deteriorate due to the intrusion of moisture and oxygen. Further, since the protective film is formed on the light emitting element, there is a problem that the number of manufacturing steps increases and the cost increases.
An object of the present invention is to provide a light-emitting device that solves the above-described problems and prevents the deterioration of the characteristics of an organic EL element due to intrusion of moisture and oxygen.

FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the

In FIG. 3B, a MOS

In FIG. 3D, the
In FIG. 3E, the first
In FIG. 3F, the
In FIG. 3G, the
In FIG. 3H, the
In FIG. 3I, the
In FIG. 3J, the
In FIG. 3K, the
In FIG. 3L, the
In FIG. 3M, the
The operation of the
First, the
Next, the light generated in the
According to the
Moreover, according to the
Furthermore, according to the
Furthermore, according to the
In the
In the
