Abstract

【課題】高品質であるという印象を与える腕時計を提供する。【解決手段】腕輪ないしストラップと、ケースの中間高さ部分−ベゼルを有するプラスチック製ケース１と、腕時計用表蓋８と、裏蓋と、腕輪ないしストラップの２つの端がそれぞれ取り付けられる２対の角状突起と、クラウン１３又は制御用押しボタン１５と、ケース１の上側及びケース１の中間高さ部分の一部をカバーし、かつ、表蓋８を見えるようにする開口を有する金属で作られた上側ハーフシェル４と、裏蓋及びケース１の中間高さ部分の一部をカバーする下側ハーフシェル５とを備える腕時計である。上側ハーフシェル４及び下側ハーフシェル５はそれぞれ互いに対向するように延在する２つの実質的に対称的な周リムを有し、クラウン１３又は制御用押しボタン１５は、２つのハーフシェル４、５のリムの間に延在する細長状のスペースに位置し、ケース１の中間高さ部分の一部を見えるようにする。【選択図】図１

Description

本発明は、腕輪ないしストラップと、ケースの中間高さ部分−ベゼルを有するプラスチック製ケースと、腕時計用表蓋（クリスタル）と、裏蓋と、及び前記腕輪ないしストラップの２つの端がそれぞれ取り付けられる２対の角状突起（ホーン）とを備える腕時計であって、当該腕時計は、前記ケースの上側及び前記ケースの中間高さ部分の一部をカバーし、かつ、前記表蓋を見えるようにする開口を有する金属で作られた上側ハーフシェル（貝殻状材）を有し、また、前記ケースの中間高さ部分から突き出るクラウン又は制御用押しボタンをさらに有するものに関する。
前記の定義を満たす腕時計が知られている。具体的には、欧州特許ＥＰ０３５１７０６は、ケースが金属製キャップによってカバーされたプラスチック製のケースの中間高さ部分−ベゼルを有するような腕時計を開示している。この金属製キャップは、ケースの中間高さ部分−ベゼルのベゼル部分をカバーすることができ、ケースの中間高さ部分−ベゼルのそのケース中間高さ部分の可視側に沿って少なくとも部分的に拡張する。従来技術によると、腕時計を手首に装着する際にキャップがあると、その腕時計が金属で作られているという印象を与える。しかし、この従来技術の腕時計には特定の課題がある。実際に、例えば電池を交換するために、腕時計が逆さにされると、裏蓋を包囲するキャップのリムの存在によって高品質であるという印象が損なわれてしまう。キャップのリムとケースのプラスチックとの間の接合箇所を隠そうといくつかの試みがなされているが、いずれも大きな成功には至っていない。
本発明は、上記従来技術の課題を克服することを目的にする。
このために、本発明は、請求項１に記載の腕時計を提供する。
なお、本発明によると、２つのハーフシェルの上下リムとケースのプラスチックとの間においてそれぞれ形成される２つの接合箇所が隠されないことを理解できるであろう。また、２つのハーフシェルのリムの間には空スペースがあるので、シェルのリムの高さの選択に関して相当な自由度がある。また、リムが平行である必要はないので、２つのリムの輪郭構成を考える際も同じ自由度を享受することができる。また、クラウン又は押しボタンを２つのハーフシェルの間に通すことによって、これらハーフシェルのそれぞれの形状についての制約の緩和に貢献することができる。
図面を参照して以下の説明（これに限定されない）を読むことによって、本発明の他の特徴及び効果を想起することができるであろう。
図１は、本発明の特定の一実施形態に係る腕時計の斜視図であり、腕輪は示されていない。 図２は、図１の腕時計の側面図である。 図３は、図１及び２の腕時計の腕時計用ケース、２つのハーフシェル及び環状キャップを示す分解図である。
図１及び２はそれぞれ、本発明の特定の一実施形態に係る腕時計の斜視図及び側面図である。腕時計用ケース（符号：１）は円形であり、腕輪ないしストラップ（これを図示しないが、各角状突起対は図１に示されている）を取り付けるための２対の角状突起１２を支えている。図示した腕時計は、時間設定クラウン１３及び２つの制御用押しボタン１５を備えるクロノグラフ腕時計である。
本発明によると、腕時計は、上側ハーフシェル４及び下側ハーフシェル５を有する。この上側ハーフシェル４は、プラスチック製ケース１の上側、ケースの中間高さ部分の上側部分及び角状突起１２の上側をカバーする。この上側ハーフシェル４は、円形の開口を有し、この開口は、腕時計のベゼル８及び表蓋を通すように構成する（図３を参照）。下側ハーフシェル５は、ケース１の裏蓋及びケースの中間高さ部分の底部分をカバーする。本発明によれば、上側ハーフシェル４と下側ハーフシェル５の間に細長状のスペース６が設けられている。図示した例において、スペース６は、ケースの中間高さ部分に中間高さの水平方向に細長い細長片の形状を有し、ケースの中間高さ部分の一部がこのスペースにおいて目に見えるようになっている。また、スペース６には、クラウン１３及び２つの押しボタン１５も置かれる。
本発明によると２つのハーフシェル４、５の製造は、通常、数ステップを有する。例えば、予備的なスタンピング工程があり、ハーフシェルの場合には、引き抜き工程が続く。曲面及び側壁を有する上側ハーフシェル４及び下側ハーフシェル５を、これらの工程で得ることができ、上側ハーフシェル４における開口３も同様である。これらの２つのハーフシェルを作るために用いる金属製シートの厚みは、約０．３ｍｍであることが好ましい。ハーフシェル４及び５が形成される際は、腕時計用ケースに接合されることが好ましい。
図示した実施形態において、ベゼル状の環状キャップ１１がベゼル８をカバーする。キャップ１１は、ベゼル８と金属製ハーフシェル４の間の接合部分を隠す。上側ハーフシェル４が取り付けられた後に、キャップ１１が接合されることが好ましい。

Claims (2)

  1. 腕輪ないしストラップと、
    ケースの中間高さ部分−ベゼルを有するプラスチック製ケース（１）と、
    腕時計用表蓋（８）と、
    裏蓋と、及び前記腕輪ないしストラップの２つの端がそれぞれ取り付けられる２対の角状突起（１２）とを備える腕時計であって、
    当該腕時計は、前記ケースの上側及び前記ケースの中間高さ部分の一部をカバーし、かつ、前記表蓋を見えるようにする開口を有する金属で作られた上側ハーフシェル（４）を有し、また、前記ケースの中間高さ部分から突き出るクラウン（１３）又は制御用押しボタン（１５）をさらに有し、
    当該腕時計は、さらに、前記裏蓋及びケースの中間高さ部分の一部をカバーする下側ハーフシェル（５）を有し、
    前記上側ハーフシェル及び前記下側ハーフシェルはそれぞれ、互いに対向するように延在する２つの実質的に対称的な周リムを有し、
    前記クラウン又は前記制御用押しボタンは、前記２つのハーフシェルのリムの間に延在する細長状のスペースに位置し、この細長状のスペースも前記ケースの中間高さ部分の一部を見えるようにする
    ことを特徴にする腕時計。
  2. 前記ハーフシェル（４、５）は、前記腕時計用ケース（１）に取り付けられる前に、引き抜きによって成形されている
    ことを特徴とする請求項１に記載の腕時計。
