Claims (24)
- 100emu/cc未満の磁気モーメントをそれぞれ有する少なくとも3つの交換制御層と、前記交換制御層によって互いに分離された4つの磁気層と、を有する記録層を含む磁気媒体であって、
前記磁気層の最上部が酸素でドープされる磁気媒体。 - 前記磁気層の最下部における磁性粒子の平均ピッチが、9nm以下である、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記磁気層の最下部が、少なくとも20vol%の酸化物含有量を有する、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記磁気層の最下部が、他の磁気層と比較して最も高いKu値を有し、前記他の磁気層のそれぞれにおけるKu値が、そのすぐ下の前記磁気層の前記Ku値未満である、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記磁気層の最上部がキャップ層である、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記キャップ層の酸素含有量が、約0.5〜約30vol%の範囲である、請求項5に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記磁気層における結晶粒界が、全体的に、前記磁気層の最下部から前記キャップ層まで前記記録層に沿って垂直に整列される、請求項5に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記交換結合層のそれぞれにおける堆積厚さが、約5〜約20オングストロームである、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記交換結合層の少なくとも1つが、0vol%を超える酸素含有量を有する、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記交換結合層の少なくとも1つが、Co、Cr、Ru及び酸素を含む、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記記録層の磁気クラスタサイズが、約30nm未満である、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記磁気媒体のHcrにおける角度依存の最小値が、外部磁界が前記磁気媒体に対して垂直方向に印加された場合に測定される前記磁気媒体のHcrの75%を超える、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記交換制御層の少なくとも1つにおける堆積厚さが、前記少なくとも1つの交換結合層に隣接する前記磁気層の1つ又は複数における平均結晶粒界厚さの約80%〜約120%である、請求項1に記載の磁気媒体。
- 少なくとも1つの磁気ヘッドと、
請求項1に記載の磁気媒体と、
前記少なくとも1つの磁気ヘッド越しに前記磁気媒体を通過させるための駆動機構と、
前記少なくとも1つの磁気ヘッドの動作を制御するために、前記少なくとも1つの磁気ヘッドに電気的に結合されたコントローラと、
を含む磁気データ記憶システム。 - 少なくとも3つの交換制御層と、前記交換制御層によって互いに分離された4つの磁気層と、を有する記録層を含む磁気媒体であって、
前記磁気層の最上部が、0.5vol%を超える酸素含有量を有し、
前記磁気層の最下部における磁性粒子の平均ピッチが、9nm以下であり、
前記磁気層の最下部が、少なくとも20vol%の酸化物含有量を有する磁気媒体。 - 前記磁気層の最下部が、他の磁気層と比較して最も高いKu値を有し、前記他の磁気層のそれぞれにおけるKu値が、そのすぐ下の前記磁気層の前記Ku値未満である、請求項15に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記磁気層の最上部が、キャップ層である、請求項15に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記磁気層における結晶粒界が、全体的に、前記磁気層の最下部から前記キャップ層まで前記記録層に沿って垂直に整列される、請求項17に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記交換結合層のそれぞれにおける堆積厚さが、約5〜約20オングストロームである、請求項15に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記交換結合層のそれぞれが、0vol%を超える酸素含有量を有する、請求項15に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記記録層の磁気クラスタサイズが、約30nm未満である、請求項15に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記磁気媒体のHcrにおける角度依存の最小値が、外部磁界が前記磁気媒体に対して垂直方向に印加された場合に測定される前記磁気媒体のHcrの75%を超える、請求項15に記載の磁気媒体。
- 前記交換結合層のそれぞれにおける堆積厚さが、前記それぞれ交換結合層に隣接する前記磁気層の1つ又は複数における平均結晶粒界厚さの約80%〜約120%である、請求項15に記載の磁気媒体。
- 少なくとも1つの磁気ヘッドと、
請求項15に記載の磁気媒体と、
前記少なくとも1つの磁気ヘッド越しに前記磁気媒体を通過させるための駆動機構と、
前記少なくとも1つの磁気ヘッドの動作を制御するために、前記少なくとも1つの磁気ヘッドに電気的に結合されたコントローラと、
を含む磁気データ記憶システム。
