Description
Claims (34)
- 水中の第1の汚染物質による第1の媒体の飽和が生じてから猶予をもって第2の汚染物質による第2の媒体の飽和が生じるように、第1の媒体と第2の媒体との嵩の多寡が定められている、少なくとも2つの濾過媒体と、
水中に存在する病原体を濾過して取り除くためのものであり、孔隙のサイズが前記病原体と同程度または前記病原体よりも小さくなっている膜と、を備えたことを特徴とする浄水システム。 - ポイントオブユース型のシステムであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の浄水システム。
- 上記少なくとも2つの濾過媒体は、水を収容する貯水槽の上流側に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の浄水システム。
- 上記少なくとも2つの濾過媒体の上流側且つ直前に、水中から大径粒子および堆積物を除去する前置フィルタが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の浄水システム。
- 上記汚染物質は塩素および砒素であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の浄水システム。
- 第1の汚染物質が塩素である場合には第1の濾過媒体は活性炭であり、第2の汚染物質が砒素である場合には第2の濾過媒体は、活性アルミナ、粒状酸化第二鉄、および/または粒状水酸化第二鉄であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の浄水システム。
- 少なくとも2つの濾過媒体を備えるシステムであり、水中の第1の汚染物質による飽和が生じてから猶予をもって第2の汚染物質による飽和が生じるように上記2つの濾過媒体の嵩の多寡が定められたシステムに水を通過させる工程と、
殺菌化合物を添加することによって、高い方の第1のレベルにして殺菌を実現する工程と、
その後、ユーザによる摂取の前に、殺菌化合物を除去することによって低い方の第2のレベルにする工程と、を含む浄水方法。 - 水中における味質付与化合物のレベルおよび砒素のレベルを決定するための水の測定を行い;味質付与化合物および砒素の各々について一定量の媒体を飽和させるまでにかかる時間を決定するための試験を行い;先に水中の味質付与化合物による飽和が生じてから猶予をもって砒素による飽和が生じるように上記システムに備える媒体の量を選択することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の浄水方法。
- 上記水を殺菌する殺菌化合物を持続放出する持続放出型カプセルをさらに備える請求項1に記載の浄水システム。
- 上記殺菌化合物は、塩素、臭素、ヨウ素、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の浄水システム。
- 上記殺菌化合物の原料は、次亜塩素酸ナトリウム、次亜塩素酸カルシウム、ブロモクロロ−5,5−ジメチルヒダントイン、トリクロロイソシアヌル酸、ジクロロイソシアヌル酸ナトリウム二水和物、1,3−ジブロモ−5,5−ジメチルヒダントイン、および1,3−ジクロロ−5,5−ジメチルヒダントインからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の浄水システム。
- 上記水を殺菌する殺菌化合物を持続放出する持続型放出カプセルをさらに備える請求項1に記載の浄水システム。
- 殺菌用の上記持続放出型カプセルは、ポリマーマトリクスに埋め込まれた殺菌化合物であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の浄水システム。
- 上記殺菌化合物は、ポリマー被膜剤によりカプセル封入され、被膜の大部分を介して拡散することにより放出されるハロゲン殺菌化合物であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の浄水システム。
- 上記殺菌化合物は、溶解速度の遅い非ポリマー性のマトリクス内にあり、このマトリクスの母材の一定した溶解性によって経時的に一定量のハロゲン殺菌化合物が放出されるようになっていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の浄水システム。
- 媒体層の耐用期間を延ばすために、2.5GPM/ft2未満の面積負荷速度で砒素を除去するシステムを有する請求項1に記載の浄水システム。
- プリーツ加工または繊維束の形成により平坦シートの場合よりも大きな表面積を有する、孔隙サイズの小さい濾過膜を備える請求項1に記載の浄水システム。
- 殺菌化合物の添加がポリマーマトリクスを介して行われ、当該ポリマーマトリクスはエチレン酢酸ビニルであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の浄水方法。
- 媒体の適切な選択によって濾過による除去が行われないように、有益な化合物を持続放出形態で添加する工程をさらに含む請求項7に記載の浄水方法。
- 有益な化合物は濾過システムの最後段に導入されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の浄水方法。
- 汚染物質の除去または水質改善を行う少なくとも1つの濾過媒体と、
風味または薬用物質を水に継続的に導入する持続放出型カプセルと、を備えるポイントオブユース型の浄水システム。 - 汚染物質の除去または水質改善を行う少なくとも1つの濾過媒体を備え、
上記濾過媒体が、水を殺菌する殺菌化合物を持続放出する持続放出型カプセルを備えるポイントオブユース型の浄水システム。 - 上記殺菌化合物は、塩素、臭素、ヨウ素、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項22に記載の浄水システム。
- 殺菌化合物の原料は、次亜塩素酸ナトリウム、次亜塩素酸カルシウム、ブロモクロロ−5,5−ジメチルヒダントイン、トリクロロイソシアヌル酸、ジクロロイソシアヌル酸ナトリウム二水和物、1,3−ジブロモ−5,5−ジメチルヒダントイン、および1,3−ジクロロ−5,5−ジメチルヒダントインからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項22に記載の浄水システム。
- 汚染物質の除去または水質改善を行う少なくとも1つの濾過媒体を備え、
上記濾過媒体は、水中に存在する病原体を濾過して取り除くための膜を備え、且つ上記水を殺菌する殺菌化合物を持続放出する持続放出型カプセルを備えるポイントオブユース型の浄水システム。 - 殺菌用の上記持続放出型カプセルは、ポリマーマトリクス内にある殺菌化合物である請求項22に記載の浄水システム。
- ハロゲン殺菌化合物は、ポリマー被膜剤によりカプセル封入され、被膜の大部分を介して拡散することにより放出される請求項23に記載の浄水システム。
- 上記殺菌化合物は、溶解速度の遅い非ポリマー性のマトリクス内にあり、このマトリクスの母材の一定した溶解性によって経時的に一定量のハロゲン殺菌化合物が放出されるようになっている請求項22に記載の浄水システム。
- 媒体層の耐用期間を延ばすために、2.5GPM/ft2未満の面積負荷速度で砒素を除去する少なくとも1つの吸着濾過媒体を有するポイントオブユース型の浄水システム。
- 砒素を除去する少なくとも1つの吸着濾過媒体を有し、
上記吸着濾過媒体は、プリーツ加工または繊維束の形成により平坦シートの場合よりも大きな表面積を有する、孔隙サイズの小さい濾過膜を備えるポイントオブユース型の浄水システム。 - 殺菌化合物を添加することによって、高い方の第1のレベルにして殺菌を実現する工程と、
その後、ユーザによる摂取の前に、殺菌化合物を除去することによって低い方の第2のレベルにする工程と、を含む請求項22に記載の浄水方法。 - 汚染物質の除去または水質改善を行う少なくとも1つの濾過媒体を含むポイントオブユース型の浄水システムであって、エチレン酢酸ビニルのポリマーマトリクスによって殺菌化合物の添加を行うことを特徴とする浄水システム。
- 汚染物質の除去または水質改善を行う少なくとも1つの濾過媒体を含むポイントオブユース型の浄水システムであって、媒体の適切な選択によって濾過による除去が行われないように有益な化合物を持続放出形態で添加するようになっているポイントオブユース型の浄水システム。
- 汚染物質の除去または水質改善を行う少なくとも1つの濾過媒体を含むポイントオブユース型の浄水システムであって、有益な化合物が濾過システムの最後段に導入されることを特徴とする浄水システム。
