Abstract
Description
図3は、従来技術のGCIB処理装置1100の概略構造を示す。低圧容器1102はノズルチャンバ1104、イオン化/加速チャンバ1106、処理チャンバ1108の三つの流体接続チャンバを有する。三つのチャンバは真空ポンプ1146a、1146b、1146cによってそれぞれ排気される。ガス保管シリンダ1111に保管される圧縮凝縮性ソースガス1112(たとえば、アルゴン)はガス測定バルブ1113および供給管1114を通って停滞チャンバ1116へと流れ込む。停滞チャンバ1116内の圧力(通常、数気圧)により、放射されたガスはノズル1110を介して略低圧の真空に放射され超音波ガスジェット1118を形成する。ジェット内の膨張から生じる冷却によって、ガスジェット1118の一部はそれぞれが数個から数千個の弱く結合した原子または分子から成るクラスタへと凝結する。ガススキマ開口1120は、クラスタジェットに凝結されなかったガス分子とクラスタジェットとを部分的に分離することによってガス流を下流チャンバへと制御するために採用される。下流チャンバ内の過剰な圧力は、ガスクラスタイオンの移送と、ビーム形成および送信のために採用され得る高電圧の管理とを阻害するために有害である。適切な凝縮性ソースガス1112はアルゴンおよびその他の凝縮性希ガス、窒素、二酸化炭素、酸素、およびその他多くのガスおよび/またはガス混合物を含むがそれらに限定されない。超音波ガスジェット1118内のガスクラスタの形成後、ガスクラスタの少なくとも一部はイオン化装置1122でイオン化され、該装置は通常、一つまたはそれ以上の白熱フィラメント1124(またはその他の適切な電子源)からの熱放射により電子を生成して、電子を加速および方向付けてガスジェット1118内のガスクラスタと衝突させる電子衝撃イオン化装置である。電子とガスクラスタとの衝突によりガスクラスタの一部から電子が放射され、それらのクラスタを正イオン化させる。いくつかのクラスタは放射される二つ以上の電子を有し、複数でイオン化することができる。通常、加速後の電子数とそのエネルギーの制御は、起こり得るイオン化の数と、ガスクラスタの複数イオン化と単独イオン化との割合に影響を及ぼす。サプレッサ電極1142および接地電極1144はイオン化装置出口開口1126からクラスタイオンを抽出し、それらを所望のエネルギー(通常は数百V〜数十kVの加速電位)まで加速し集束させてGCIB1128を形成する。GCIB1128がイオン化装置出口開口126とサプレッサ電極1142間を横断する領域を抽出領域と称する。ガスクラスタを含有する超音波ガスジェット1118の軸(ノズル1110で決定)はGCIB1128の軸1154と略同一である。フィラメント電源1136は、イオン化装置フィラメント1124を加熱するフィラメント電圧Vfを供給する。アノード電源1134は、フィラメント1124から放射される熱電子を加速して、熱電子にクラスタ含有ガスジェット1118を照射させてクラスタイオンを生成するアノード電圧VAを供給する。抑制電源1138はサプレッサ電極1142にバイアスをかける抑制電圧Vs(数百〜数千ボルト)を供給する。アクセラレータ電源1140は、VAccに等しい総GCIB加速電位となるように、サプレッサ電極1142および接地電極1144に対してイオン化装置1122にバイアスをかける加速電圧VAccを供給する。サプレッサ電極1142はイオン化装置1122のイオン化装置出口開口1126からイオンを抽出し、不所望の電子が下流からイオン化装置1122に入るのを防止し、集束GCIB1128を形成する役割を果たす。
Claims (21)
- 植込み用の生体物質の作製方法であって、
減圧チャンバを設ける工程と、
前記減圧チャンバ内に第1の加速中性ビームを形成する工程と、
前記減圧チャンバ内に生体物質を保持するホルダを設ける工程と、
前記減圧チャンバ内の前記ホルダに前記生体物質を配置する工程と、
前記生体物質の表面の少なくとも第1の部分に前記第1の加速中性ビームを照射する工程と、を含み、前記生体物質の特性が変化する方法。 - 前記特性の変更は、
前記表面の前記少なくとも第1の部分の湿潤性上昇と、
前記表面の前記少なくとも第1の部分の親水性上昇と、
前記表面の前記少なくとも第1の部分の化学反応変更と、
表面の前記少なくとも第1の部分の荷電状態変更と、
から成る群から選択される変更を備える請求項1の方法。 - 前記生体物質を生体細胞にさらす工程をさらに含み、前記生体細胞が、
