Claims (20)
- 無線通信システムにおいて、受信機が複数の信号の組み合わせた基底帯域及び無線周波数(RF:Radio Frequency)プロセッシングを行う方法であって、
送信機からチャンネル推定のための情報を受信する過程と、
前記チャンネル推定のための情報に基づいて、チャンネルで多数の経路を確認する過程と、
前記確認された経路の各々で、前記送信機から送信される一つ又は複数の信号に対して、位相変移(phase shift)を含むRFプリコーディングのためのRFプリコーディング行列を算出する過程と、
前記送信機と関連した基底帯域プリコーダで、前記一つ又は複数の信号をプリコードするための基底帯域プリコーディング行列を算出する過程と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 多数のRF信号プロセッシングチェーン(chain)が、一つ又は複数の受信信号をプロセスし、前記確認された経路の各々に対する位相変移を含むRFコンバイナ行列を算出する過程と、
前記受信機と関連した基底帯域コンバイナが、前記一つ又は複数の受信信号をプロセスするための基底帯域コンバイナ行列を算出する過程と、をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記チャンネルで前記多数の経路を確認する過程は、
前記送信機のRFチェーンの数と前記受信機のRFチェーンの数とを比較する過程と、
前記送信機と前記受信機のうちでどちらがより少ない数のRFチェーンを有するかを確認する過程と、
前記より少ない数のRFチェーンの各々に対する前記チャンネルの経路を、前記多数の経路として確認する過程と、
を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記送信機と関連した遠隔受信機により、前記算出されたRFプリコーディング行列及び基底帯域プリコーディング行列についての情報を含むフィードバック(feedback)メッセージを送信する過程をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記フィードバックメッセージは、前記遠隔送信機の多数のRFチェーン各々のための一つ又はそれ以上のビームステアリング方向(beam steering direction)についての情報をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記送信機のアンテナの数と、前記複数のアンテナ間の空間と、前記送信機のRFチェーンの数のうちの少なくとも一つを含む情報を、前記送信機から受信する過程と、
前記受信された情報に基づいて、前記RFプリコーディング行列及び基底帯域プリコーディング行列を算出する過程と、をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記受信機は、ダウンリンク(downlink)通信で用いられ、ユーザ端末機に位置するか、又は
前記受信機は、アップリング(uplink)通信で用いられ、基地局又は中継局に位置することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 無線通信システムにおいて、送信機が組み合わせ基底帯域及び無線周波数(RF:Radio Frequency)プリコーディングを行う方法であって、
基底帯域プリコーダが、送信される多数の信号をプリコードする過程と、
多数のRFチェーン(chain)で前記多数の信号のうちの少なくとも一つに位相変移(phase shift)を適用する過程と、
前記適用された多数の位相変移に相応するように前記多数の信号を多数の経路で送信する過程と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 受信機からRFプリコーディング行列及び基底帯域プリコーディング行列を示す情報を受信する過程を含み、
前記基底帯域プリコーディング行列は、前記多数の信号をプリコードするために構成され、前記プリコーディング行例は、前記多数の経路の各々に対する前記位相変移を適用するためのものであることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記多数のRFチェーンにより行われるプリコーディングは、前記RFプリコーディング行列に含まれている多数の経路の各々に対する位相変移に制約され、
前記送信機は、ダウンリンク(downlink)通信で前記多数の信号を送信し、基地局又は中継局に位置するか、又は
前記送信機は、アップリンク(uplink)通信で前記多数の信号を送信し、ユーザ末端機に位置することを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 無線通信システムにおける受信装置であって、
送信機からチャンネル推定のための情報を受信する受信機と、
制御機と、を含み、
前記制御機は、
前記チャンネル推定のための情報に基づいて、チャンネルで多数の経路を確認し、
前記確認された経路の各々で、前記送信機から送信される一つ又は複数の信号に対して位相変移(phase shift)を含むRFプリコーディングのためのRFプリコーディング行列を算出し、
前記送信機と関連した基底帯域(BB:baseband)プリコーダで、前記一つ又は複数の信号をプリコードするための基底帯域プリコーディング行列を算出することを特徴とする受信装置。 - 前記受信機は、
基底帯域コンバイナと、
多数のRFシグナルチェーン(chain)を含み、
前記制御機は、
多数のRFチェーンにより受信された一つ又は複数の受信信号をプロセスし、前記確認された経路の各々に対する位相変移を含むRFコンバイナ(combiner)行列を算出し、
前記基底帯域コンバイナが、前記一つ又は複数の受信信号をプロセスするための基底帯域コンバイナ行列を算出することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の受信装置。 - 前記チャンネルで前記多数の経路を確認するにあたって、前記制御機は、
前記送信機のRFチェーンの数と、前記受信機のRFチェーンの数とを比較し、前記送信機と前記受信機のうちでどちらがより少ない数のRFチェーンを有するかを確認し、前記より少ない数のRFチェーンの各々に対する前記チャンネルの経路を、前記多数の経路として確認することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の受信装置。 - 前記送信機が遠隔送信機である場合、前記受信装置は、
前記受信機と関連し、前記遠隔送信機と関連する遠隔受信機へ、前記算出されたRFプリコーディング行列及び基底帯域プリコーディング行列についての情報を含むフィードバック(feedback)メッセージを送信することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の受信装置。 - 前記フィードバックメッセージは、前記遠隔送信機の多数のRFチェーン各々のための一つ又はそれ以上のビームステアリング方向(beam steering direction)についての情報をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の受信装置。
- 前記受信機は、前記送信機のアンテナの数と、前記アンテナ間の空間と、前記送信機のRFチェーンの数とを含む情報を前記送信機から受信し、
前記制御機は、前記受信された情報に基づいて、前記RFプリコーディング行列及び基底帯域プリコーディング行列を算出することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の受信装置。 - 前記受信装置は、ダウンリンク通信で用いられ、ユーザ端末機に位置するか、又は
前記受信装置は、アップリンク通信で用いられ、基地局又は中継局に位置することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の受信装置。 - 無線通信システムにおける送信装置であって、
送信される多数の信号をプリコードする基底帯域(BB:baseband)プリコーダと、
前記多数の信号のうちの少なくとも一つに位相変移(phase shift)を適用する多数のRFチェーン(chain)と、
前記適用された多数の位相変移に相応するように多数の経路で前記多数の信号を送信する多数のアンテナと、
を含むことを特徴とする送信装置。 - RFプリコーディング行列及び基底帯域プリコーディング行列を示す情報を受信する受信機をさらに含み、
基底帯域プリコーダは、前記基底帯域プリコーディング行列を用いて、前記多数の信号をプリコードするために構成され、前記RFプリコーディング行列は、前記多数の経路の各々に対する前記位相変移を適用するためのものであることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の送信装置。 - 前記多数のRFチェーンにより行われるプリコーディングは、前記RFプリコーディング行列に含まれている多数の経路の各々に対する位相変移に制約され、
前記送信装置は、ダウンリンク通信で用いられ、基地局又は中継局に位置するか、又は
前記送信装置は、アップリンク通信で用いられ、ユーザ端末機に位置することを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の送信装置。
