その状態で図1、図2の実線に示すように、前記レバー19により前記軸棒18を突出端まで押し込み、前記筒金33に前記軸棒18を挿し込んだら前記レバー19を下方回転させて前記深溝12に収めて、前記止め金具Aで荷台カバーを側部あおりPの上に固定する。
なお、図1、図2においては、荷台カバーの縦骨32及び筒金33を省略して示している。
この固定状態では盗難防止のため、前記レバー19の下端部に貫設された丸孔34と鍵部材22の垂直片35に貫設された丸孔36とに、仮想線で示す錠37の掛け金38を係止して施錠する。
なお、前記鍵部材22は2本の止めネジ20にキリ孔23を介して上下昇降自在であるから、その丸孔36をレバー19の丸孔34に対して簡単に合致できる。
このほか、前記鍵部材22は、一対の止めネジ20に対して案内孔を介して上下昇降自在に案内されるものから、水平座5のネジ孔6の螺合により位置決めされるものも提供される。
