カバー本体13は、柱3の上端に取付けた連結具7を上から覆う構成なので、柱3の上端部に連結具7の梁挿入部7bを挿通するための切除加工が不要である。

カバー本体13は、連結具7の柱挿入部7aを柱3に挿入する前の連結具7に取付け、連結具7を柱3や梁5に取付けた後にカバー本体13に補助材15を取付けているので、カバー9を取付けるための高所作業は補助材15の取付けのみとなるので、高所作業が減り、作業性が改善される。
カバー9は、カバー本体13にある一方の軸部77と補助材15に設けてある他方の軸部79とを突合せて、補助材15側からのみのねじ止め作業でカバー本体13と補助材15を固定できるので、施工性が良い。
