Abstract
Description
本発明は、ブタジエンホモポリマー又はコポリマー、例えば、スチレンとブタジエンの臭素化されたブロック、ランダム又はグラフトコポリマーなどを臭素化する方法に関する。
国際公開第2008/021417号に記載されている方法の様々な改良が、国際公開第09/126531号、国際公開第09/134628号、国際公開第09/139942号及び国際公開第10/017134号に記載されている。
以下の実施例は本発明を例示するために提供されるが、その範囲を限定するものではない。特に断らない限り、全ての部及び百分率は質量基準である。
Claims (13)
- 臭素化ブタジエンポリマーが可溶である少なくとも1種のポリハロゲン化アルカン又はハロゲン化芳香族化合物と少なくとも1種のモノハロゲン化アルカンとを含む溶媒混合物の存在下で、脂肪族炭素−炭素二重結合を含むブタジエンポリマーを第4級アンモニウムトリブロミド又は第4級ホスホニウムトリブロミドと反応させて、溶媒混合物中の臭素化ブタジエンポリマーの溶液と副生成物としての第4級アンモニウムモノブロミド塩又は第4級ホスホニウムモノブロミド塩を形成することを含む臭素化ブタジエンポリマーの形成方法。
- 前記溶媒混合物が1〜8個の炭素原子を含むポリハロゲン化アルカンを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリハロゲン化アルカンのハロゲン原子が塩素又は臭素である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリハロゲン化アルカンが、ジクロロメタン、ジブロモメタン、ブロモクロロメタン、クロロホルム、四塩化炭素、1,2−ジクロロエタン、1,1−ジクロロエタン、1,2−ジブロモエタン若しくは1,1−ジブロモエタン、又はこれらの2種以上の混合物である、請求項2又は3に記載の方法。
- 前記モノハロゲン化アルカンが1〜8個の炭素原子を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記モノハロゲン化アルカンのハロゲン原子が塩素又は臭素である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記モノハロゲン化アルカンが、臭化メチル、臭化エチル若しくは臭化プロピル、又はこれらの2種以上の混合物である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ポリハロゲン化アルカン又はハロゲン化芳香族化合物とモノハロゲン化アルカンの質量比が約3:1〜約1:3である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ブタジエンポリマーがブタジエン/ビニル芳香族コポリマーである、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ブタジエンポリマーがスチレン/ブタジエンブロックコポリマーである、請求項9に記載の方法。
- ブタジエンポリマーのブタジエン単位の少なくとも70%が臭素化されている、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ブタジエンポリマーのブタジエン単位の少なくとも90%が臭素化されている、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ブタジエンポリマーのブタジエン単位の少なくとも95%が臭素化されている、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
