Abstract
【解決手段】一般式LiNiaXbY(1−a−b)O2(式中、0.7≦a<1、0≦b<0.3、Xは少なくとも1種類の任意の遷移金属、YはMo及びWのうち少なくとも1種類)で表される正極活物質を有しリチウムイオンを吸蔵放出できる正極と、リチウムイオンを吸蔵放出できる負極と、熱収縮してリチウムイオンの移動を遮断できるセパレータとを備えるリチウムイオン二次電池の過充電の初期に、正極活物質が酸素脱離を起こし、正極活物質の酸素脱離による発熱でセパレータが熱収縮して充電電流を遮断する。

Description
初めに、作製したラミネートセルについて説明する。
ラミネートセルAを、電流値1CAで2時間定電流充電した。つまり、ラミネートセルAを、SOCが200%まで充電した。この際のセルの内部温度は、25℃で一定である。
次に、ラミネートセルBを用いて、過充電試験を実施した。ラミネートセルBは、ラミネートセルAと異なり、冷却ファンが取り付けられていないので、セルの温度は一定ではない。過充電試験では、ラミネートセルBを、電流値1CAで2時間定電流充電し、SOCが200%まで充電した。充電時には、セル電圧と、充電電流と、セルの表面温度を測定した。
Claims (8)
- 一般式LiNiaXbY(1−a−b)O2(式中、0.7≦a<1、0≦b<0.3、Xは少なくとも1種類の任意の遷移金属、YはMo及びWのうち少なくとも1種類)で表される正極活物質を有しリチウムイオンを吸蔵放出できる正極と、リチウムイオンを吸蔵放出できる負極と、熱収縮してリチウムイオンの移動を遮断できるセパレータとを備えるリチウムイオン二次電池の過充電の初期に、前記正極活物質が酸素脱離を起こし、
前記正極活物質の酸素脱離による発熱で前記セパレータが熱収縮して充電電流を遮断する、
ことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池の過充電抑止方法。 - 請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池の過充電抑止方法において、
前記リチウムイオン二次電池の表面の温度が90℃以上150℃以下で、前記セパレータが熱収縮して前記充電電流を遮断するリチウムイオン二次電池の過充電抑止方法。 - 請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池の過充電抑止方法において、
前記正極の表面の温度が80℃以上130℃以下で、前記正極活物質の酸素脱離が開始するリチウムイオン二次電池の過充電抑止方法。 - 請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池の過充電抑止方法において、
前記過充電の初期では、前記リチウムイオン二次電池の充電状態が120%以上150%以下であるリチウムイオン二次電池の過充電抑止方法。 - 一般式LiNiaXbY(1−a−b)O2(式中、0.7≦a<1、0≦b<0.3、Xは少なくとも1種類の任意の遷移金属、YはMo及びWのうち少なくとも1種類)で表される正極活物質を有し、リチウムイオンを吸蔵放出できる正極と、
リチウムイオンを吸蔵放出できる負極と、
熱収縮してリチウムイオンの移動を遮断できるセパレータとを備え、
過充電の初期に前記正極活物質の酸素脱離による発熱で前記セパレータが熱収縮することで、充電電流を遮断することを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 請求項5記載のリチウムイオン二次電池において、
前記セパレータは、前記リチウムイオン二次電池の表面の温度が90℃以上150℃以下で熱収縮するリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 請求項5記載のリチウムイオン二次電池において、
前記正極活物質は、前記正極の表面の温度が80℃以上130℃以下で、酸素脱離を開始し、前記セパレータを熱収縮させるリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 請求項5記載のリチウムイオン二次電池において、
前記セパレータは、前記リチウムイオン二次電池の充電状態が120%以上150%以下で熱収縮するリチウムイオン二次電池。
