Abstract
【解決手段】表示装置は、液晶層303と、アレイ基板301と、対向基板302と、を有している。液晶層303は、電圧の印加によって屈折率分布を変化させる。アレイ基板301は、液晶層303に電圧を印加するための配向制御電極404と、配向制御電極404と異なる層に形成され、配向制御電極404に電圧を供給する電圧供給電極403と、電圧供給電極403と異なる層に電圧供給電極403と液晶層303との間に介在するように形成された遮蔽電極405と、を有する多層の基板である。対向基板302は、液晶層303を介して配向制御電極404と対向するように形成された対向電極407を有する。

Description
図1は、実施形態の表示装置の正面図である。図1に示す表示装置10は、表示領域100が設定されている。表示領域100は、画像が表示される領域である。また、実施形態の表示装置10は、部分3次元表示が可能な表示装置であって、図1に示すように表示領域100に、2次元/3次元切替可能表示領域(以下、選択表示領域という)101と、2次元/3次元切替不能表示領域(以下、固定表示領域という)102と、が夫々設定されている。
Claims (5)
- 2次元/3次元切替可能表示領域からなる第1の表示領域と残余の第2の表示領域を有する表示パネルと、
この表示パネルの表面側に配置される液晶レンズユニットと、
から構成される表示装置であって、
前記液晶レンズユニットは、
対向する第1の基板と第2の基板間に配置される電圧の印加によって屈折率分布を変化させる液晶層を含み、
前記第1の基板は、前記第1および第2の表示領域に対応して形成されるとともに、前記第1の表示領域に対応して形成され、前記液晶層の配向を制御するための第1の電極と、前記第1の電極と異なる層に形成され、前記第2の表示領域を通して前記第1の電極に駆動電圧を供給する第2の電極と、前記第2の電極と前記液晶層との間に介在され、少なくとも前記第1と第2の表示領域の境界部分において平面視で前記第2の電極と重畳する部分を有するように形成された第3の電極と、を有し、
前記第2の基板は、前記第1の電極とともに前記液晶層の配向を制御するように形成された第4の電極を有することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記第3の電極は、平面視で前記第2の電極の幅以上の幅を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第3の電極には、前記第1の表示領域と前記第2の表示領域との境界部分において、この境界部分における前記液晶層の配向を制御するための配向制御電極部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1の電極と前記第3の電極とは、同一の層に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1の表示領域は、前記第2の表示領域内に設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか1項に記載の表示装置。
