本発明は、柱状の木材と、該木材の外周面を囲う金属製の中空筒状の枠体とを備え、衝突時の衝撃を軸方向の圧縮荷重として受ける車両の衝撃吸収部材であって、前記枠体は、外表面にのみ多数の凹みを有し、外表面のみが凹凸状とされており、且つ外表面全体が凹凸状とされていることを特徴とする車両の衝撃吸収部材である。前記凹みは、軸方向に対して直交又は平行な縞状に形成された溝であるのが望ましい。

- 柱状の木材と、該木材の外周面を囲う金属製の枠体とを備え、衝突時の衝撃を軸方向の圧縮荷重として受ける車両の衝撃吸収部材であって、
前記枠体は、外表面にのみ多数の凹みを有し、外表面のみが凹凸状とされており、且つ外表面全体が凹凸状とされていることを特徴とする車両の衝撃吸収部材。 - 請求項１に記載の車両の衝撃吸収部材であって、
前記凹みは、軸方向に対して直交する縞状に形成された溝であることを特徴とする車両の衝撃吸収部材。 - 請求項１に記載の車両の衝撃吸収部材であって、
前記凹みは、軸方向に対して平行な縞状に形成された溝であることを特徴とする車両の衝撃吸収部材。
