Claims (17)

  1. 患者治療システムであって、
    パルス発生器と、埋め込まれたときに患者の標的神経集団と電気的に通じるように配置された電気接触部を有する信号伝達装置とを備えた患者埋め込み可能部と、
    前記埋め込み可能部によって保持されるインピーダンス検出器であって、前記電気接触部を含む電気回路に動作可能に接続され、前記電気回路のインピーダンスを検出するインピーダンス検出器と、
    前記患者埋め込み可能部によって保持されるプロセッサであって、実行時に、
    前記インピーダンス検出器からインピーダンス変化を示す情報を受け取り、
    少なくとも部分的に前記検出されたインピーダンス変化に基づいて、かつ、人による介入を行わずに、前記患者埋め込み部が前記電気接触部に電気信号を伝達する際に従う信号伝達パラメータの値を自動的に調整し、信号伝達パラメータの値を自動的に調整することは前記電気信号が伝達される際に従うコンプライアンス値及びコンプライアンスマージンのうちの少なくとも1つを自動的に調整することを含む
    という指示がプログラミングされた、コンピュータにより読み取り可能な媒体を備えるプロセッサと
    を有することを特徴とする患者治療システム。
  2. 前記プロセッサは、実行時に前記信号伝達パラメータの値が調整されたという通知を提供するという指示がプログラミングされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  3. 前記患者埋め込み可能部は、第1の値のコンプライアンス電圧レベルを有する定電流源を備え、前記信号伝達パラメータの値の自動調整において、
    前記コンプライアンス電圧レベルを前記第1の値から前記第1の値より高い第2の値に上げ、
    前記信号の強度を前記第1の値で利用可能な強度より高くすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  4. 前記プロセッサは、実行時にインピーダンス変化を時間関数として認識するという指示がプログラミングされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  5. 前記プロセッサは、実行時に前記インピーダンスの未来値を予測するという指示がプログラミングされることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の患者治療システム。
  6. 前記プロセッサは、実行時に過去のインピーダンスの値に基づいて未来のインピーダンスの値を推定するという指示がプログラミングされることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の患者治療システム。
  7. 前記電気信号は治療電気信号であり、さらに前記インピーダンス検出器は前記電気信号を通して前記電気回路のインピーダンスを検出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  8. 前記電気信号は治療電気信号であり、さらに前記インピーダンス検出器は別個の非治療電気信号を通して前記電気回路のインピーダンスを検出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  9. 信号伝達パラメータの値を自動的に調整することは、さらに前記電気信号の強度、パルス幅、デューティサイクルのうちの少なくとも一つを自動的に調整することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  10. 前記プロセッサは、実行時前記電気信号の振幅を自動的に調整するという指示がプログラミングされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  11. 前記プロセッサは、実行時前記電気信号の周波数を自動的に調整するという指示がプログラミングされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  12. 前記電気接触部は第1の電気接触部であり、前記電気回路は第1の電気回路であり、前記信号伝達装置はさらに第2の電気接触部を備え、前記プロセッサは実行時にインピーダンス変化の指標に応じて前記第2の電気接触部を含む第2の電気回路に前記電気信号を供給するという指示がプログラミングされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  13. 前記プロセッサは、実行時前記第1の電気回路が開放しているという通知を提供するという指示がプログラミングされることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の患者治療システム。
  14. 前記電気信号は第1の電気信号であり、前記プロセッサは実行時第2の電気信号を供給するという指示がプログラミングされ、さらに前記インピーダンス検出器からインピーダンス変化の指標を受け取ることは前記第2の電気信号を通して前記インピーダンスの変化を検出することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  15. 前記信号伝達装置は、複数の他の電気接触部を含み、前記プロセッサは実行時前記電気信号が供給される前記電気接触部をインピーダンス変化の指標に応じて自動的に変化するという指示がプログラミングされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  16. コンプライアンス値及びコンプライアンスマージンのうちの前記少なくとも一つは前記コンプライアンス値であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
  17. コンプライアンス値及びコンプライアンスマージンのうちの前記少なくとも一つは前記コンプライアンスマージンであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の患者治療システム。
