Abstract
【解決手段】密閉型電池(1)は、電極体(30)が収納される金属製の電池ケース(1a)と、該電池ケース(1a)の外表面の腐食を防止するために、該外表面上に形成される保護層(60)と、を有する。そして、保護層(60)内には、電池ケース(1a)の外表面上での保護層形成の有無を判別するための判別用塗料(61)が含まれている。

Description
図1は、本発明の一実施形態である密閉型電池1の概略構成を示す図である。この密閉型電池1は、内部に電極体30が収納された有底筒状の外装缶10の開口側に封口体20が取り付けられたものである。すなわち、密閉型電池1は、外装缶10と、封口体20と、該外装缶10及び封口体20によって形成される空間内に収納される電極体30とを備えている。外装缶10と封口体20とによって、電池ケース1aが構成される。この電池ケース1a内に形成される空間には、電極体30以外に、非水電解液(図示省略)も封入されている。
上述のような構成を有する密閉型電池1において、外装缶10の周壁部12の外表面上には、図1及び図2に示すように、樹脂製のカバー40が取り付けられている。このカバー40には、密閉型電池1の型番等の文字41が印字されている。カバー40は、外装缶10の底部11の引き出し端子2が取り付けられる中央部分及び封口体20の引き出し端子3が取り付けられる端子22には設けられていない。すなわち、外装缶10の底部11及び封口体20はそれぞれ中央部分が露出した状態である。
以上の構成により、密閉型電池1の外表面に、結露等によって生じる水分から該密閉型電池1を保護するための保護層60を設けたため、該密閉型電池1が結露等によって錆びるのを抑制することができる。しかも、保護層60内に蛍光塗料61を入れることにより、該保護層60が密閉型電池1の外表面全体に形成されているかどうかを容易に検出することができる。これにより、密閉型電池1を保護層60によってより確実に保護することができる。
以上、本発明の実施の形態を説明したが、上述した実施の形態は本発明を実施するための例示に過ぎない。よって、本発明は上述した実施の形態に限定されることなく、その趣旨を逸脱しない範囲内で上述した実施の形態を適宜変形して実施することが可能である。
Claims (4)
- 電極体が収納される金属製の電池ケースと、
前記電池ケースの外表面の腐食を防止するために、該外表面上に形成される保護層と、を有し、
前記保護層内には、前記電池ケースの外表面上での保護層形成の有無を判別するための判別用塗料が含まれている、密閉型電池。 - 請求項1に記載の密閉型電池において、
前記保護層は、ポリオレフィン系樹脂によって構成される、密閉型電池。 - 請求項1または2に記載の密閉型電池において、
前記判別用塗料は、所定の波長の光によって発色する蛍光塗料である、密閉型電池。 - 請求項1から3のいずれか一つに記載の密閉型電池において、
前記電池ケースは、鉄製の外装缶を備えている、密閉型電池。
