Abstract
【解決手段】携帯通信端末24宛ての少なくとも1つの送信を含む複数入力複数出力(MIMO)信号を、通信チャネルを介して、前記端末24で受信する段階を備える。マルチユーザー信号対雑音比(MU−SNR)は、受信された信号に基づいて、端末24において推定される。MU−SNRは、端末24宛ての送信と信号の残りの成分との間の電力比を表し、信号は、1以上のその他の端末宛ての1以上の送信を含むと仮定される。MU−SNRに基づき通信チャネルを示すフィードバックが、端末24から送信される。

Claims (20)

前記端末から、前記通信チャネルを示し前記MU−SNRに基づくフィードバックを送信する段階と
を備え、
前記MU−SNRは、前記端末宛ての前記送信と前記信号の残りの成分との間の電力比を表し、前記信号の残りの成分は、1以上のその他の端末宛ての1以上の送信を含むと仮定される方法。 - 前記MU−SNRを推定する段階は、
前記端末宛ての前記送信をプリコーディングするために前記端末が要求するプリコーディングベクトルと直交するプリコーディングベクトルをそれぞれ使用して、前記1以上のその他の端末宛ての前記1以上の送信がプリコードされるという仮定の下、前記MU−SNRを計算する段階を有する請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記MU−SNRを計算する段階は、
前記直交するプリコーディングベクトルの複数の候補の間で、前記MU−SNRを平均化する段階を含む請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記MIMO信号は、NT個の送信アンテナを使用して基地局から送信され、
前記MU−SNRを計算する段階は、前記直交するプリコーディングベクトルのNT−1個の候補について前記MU−SNRを計算する段階を有する請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記MU−SNRを計算する段階は、前記1以上のその他の端末宛ての前記1以上の送信に、電力レベルをそれぞれ割り当てる段階を有し、前記電力レベルのうちの少なくとも2つは、互いに異なっている請求項2に記載の方法。

前記第1フィードバック及び前記第2フィードバックのうちの一方を、前記第1フィードバック及び前記第2フィードバックのうちの他方に対して差分的にエンコードされているフォーマットで送信する段階を含む請求項6に記載の方法。 - 前記第1フィードバック及び前記第2フィードバックを送信する段階は、互いに独立してエンコードされた前記第1フィードバック及び前記第2フィードバックを送信する段階を含む請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記第1フィードバック及び前記第2フィードバックを送信する段階は、
第1更新レートで前記第1フィードバックを送信する段階と、
前記第1更新レートとは異なる第2更新レートで前記第2フィードバックを送信する段階とを含む請求項6に記載の方法。 - 前記通信フィードバックは、階数1のチャネル品質情報(CQI)及び階数2のCQIからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つのフィードバックの種類を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 受信機宛ての少なくとも1つの送信を含む複数入力複数出力(MIMO)信号を、通信チャネルを介して受信する前記受信機と、
受信された前記信号に基づいて、マルチユーザー信号対雑音比(MU−SNR)を推定し、前記通信チャネルを示し前記MU−SNRに基づくフィードバックを計算するプロセッサと、
前記フィードバックを送信する送信機と
を備え、
前記MU−SNRは、前記受信機宛ての前記送信と前記信号の残りの成分との間の電力比を表し、前記信号の前記残りの成分は、1以上のその他の受信機宛ての1以上の送信を含むと仮定される装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、前記受信機宛ての前記送信をプリコーディングするためのプリコーディングベクトルと直交するプリコーディングベクトルをそれぞれ使用して、前記1以上のその他の受信機宛ての前記1以上の送信がプリコードされるという仮定の下、前記MU−SNRを計算する請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサは、前記直交するプリコーディングベクトルの複数の候補の間で、前記MU−SNRを平均化する請求項12に記載の装置。
- 前記MIMO信号は、NT個の送信アンテナを使用して基地局から送信され、
前記プロセッサは、前記直交するプリコーディングベクトルのNT−1個の候補について前記MU−SNRを計算する請求項12に記載の装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、シングルユーザー信号対雑音比(SU−SNR)を推定し、
前記SU−SNRは、前記信号が前記受信機宛てのみであるとの仮定の下で計算され、
前記プロセッサは、前記SU−SNRに基づく第1フィードバック及び前記MU−SNRに基づく第2フィードバックを計算する請求項11に記載の装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、前記第1フィードバック及び前記第2フィードバックのうちの一方を、前記第1フィードバック及び前記第2フィードバックのうちの他方に対して差分的にエンコードされているフォーマットで計算する請求項15に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサは、エンコードされた前記第1フィードバック及び前記第2フィードバックを互いに独立してエンコードする請求項15に記載の装置。
- 前記通信フィードバックは、階数1のチャネル品質情報(CQI)及び階数2のCQIからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つのフィードバックの種類を含む請求項11に記載の装置。
- 請求項11に記載の装置を備える携帯通信端末。
- 携帯通信端末における信号を処理するチップセットであって、請求項11に記載の装置を備えるチップセット。
