Description

を含んでなる。
17日間、商業的流動床即ちエチレン重合反応器を、ボール無しで運転した。この運転は、グリッドから全ての物質(固まっていない粉末、凝集体等)を除去するため及び全ての塞がれたグリッドホールを非閉塞状態にするために、先行して反応器の中に人が入り、全ての点で典型的な重合条件下で実施した。ポリエチレンの3種の異なった反応器グレードを製造した(メルトインデックス/密度−0.5MI/0.9160g/cc、1.0MI/0.9190g/cc及び0.6MI/0.9250g/cc)。
16日間、比較例1に於けると同じ反応器を、始動の前に、10個の実質的に球形のボール及び7個の凝集体を、グリッドの上に意識的に置いて、運転した。5個の8インチボール及び5個の10インチボールを使用した。凝集体は、同様のサイズのものであり、大まかに丸みを帯びた形状を有していた。これらのボールは、0.5のメルトインデックス及び0.926g/ccの密度を有する線状低密度ポリエチレンから作った。このボールは、それぞれ9〜18ポンドの重量であった。
Claims (5)
- 流動床容器内のガス分配グリッドの上又は周りの凝集又は蓄積を防止又は減少する方法であって、
1個又はそれ以上の精練ボールを、ガス分配グリッドの上で容器中に導入し、そして
前記精練ボールの存在下に流動床プロセスを実施する
ことを含んでなる方法。 - 前記精練ボールが実質的に球形である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 2個又はそれ以上の精練ボールを前記容器中に導入することを含んでなり、前記精練ボールが、異なった形状、異なったサイズ又は両方を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記精練ボールが木材、金属、プラスチック、セラミック又はこれらの組合せから製造される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記流動床プロセスが接触分解、ガス化、燃焼、重合及び乾燥から選択される請求項1に記載の方法。
