Claims (20)
- 血管から粒状物を取り除くための吸引カテーテルであって、
長尺の吸引チューブであって、前記吸引チューブの内表面により画定される吸引管路を有し、前記吸引管路を介して流体的に接続された近位ポートおよび遠位ポートを有する吸引チューブと、
前記吸引チューブに沿って設けられるが前記吸引チューブの遠位部より近位側には延在しないガイドワイヤチューブであって、前記ガイドワイヤチューブの内表面により画定されるガイドワイヤ用管路を有すると共に、前記ガイドワイヤ用管路を介して接続された近位端開口および遠位端開口を有するガイドワイヤチューブとを備え、
前記ガイドワイヤチューブは、前記吸引チューブの前記遠位部に固定された遠位部と、引張解放部を画成する近位部とを含み、横方向の力が加わって前記ガイドワイヤチューブを前記吸引チューブから引き離そうとすると、前記引張解放部が吸引チューブから離れるようになっている、
ことを特徴とする吸引カテーテル。 - 前記引張解放部は、前記横方向の力が加わる前から、前記吸引チューブから分離されている、
請求項1の吸引カテーテル。 - 前記分離された引張解放部は、前記横方向の力が加わる前には、前記吸引チューブに概ね平行でかつ隣接している、
請求項2の吸引カテーテル。 - 前記分離された引張解放部は、血管壁を傷つけることなく前記吸引カテーテルを血管壁に沿って引っ張ることができるように、前記分離された引張解放部を前記ガイドワイヤチューブの前記遠位部に重ねて折り畳むことができる程十分可撓性のある材料から形成される、
請求項2の吸引カテーテル。 - 前記引張解放部は、前記横方向の力が加わる前には、前記吸引チューブに最小限に付着されている、

請求項5の吸引カテーテル。 - 前記ガイドワイヤチューブは、PTFEから作られ、前記引張解放部は、前記吸引チューブに熱接合により最小限に付着されており、前記熱接合は、前記横方向の力が加わったときに破壊される、
請求項5の吸引カテーテル。 - 前記ガイドワイヤチューブは、10〜30cmの長さを有する、

単一の管路が全長に亘って延在し、近位端および遠位端が開放されている、前記第1のチューブよりかなり短い可撓性の第2のチューブを提供するステップと、
前記第2のチューブの全長の0.5〜10%の長さの第2チューブ近位部が引張解放部を形成するように、前記第2のチューブを前記第1のチューブの最遠位部の横に固定するステップと、を備えている、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記引張解放部は、前記吸引チューブから分離されている、
