Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an apparatus for forming a pattern such as an electrode on a substrate, for example, an apparatus for forming an electrode pattern on a photoelectric conversion surface of a photoelectric conversion element such as a solar cell substrate.
As a technique for forming a predetermined pattern on a substrate, there is a method of drawing a pattern on a substrate by continuously discharging a coating liquid containing a pattern material from a nozzle. For example, in the technique described in
It is conceivable to apply the technique described in
In such a pattern formation technique by coating, in order to increase the throughput of processing, a large number of nozzles are arranged in a direction crossing the moving direction of the substrate, and the coating liquid is discharged from these nozzles all at once. It is conceivable to form a large number of patterns by the relative movement of times. In this case, in order to make the discharge amount of the coating liquid from each nozzle uniform, the coating liquid stored in a large liquid storage space is pressurized, and the coating liquid is pushed out from each nozzle communicated with the liquid storage space. It is effective to discharge.
However, this increases the size of the tank housing that forms the liquid storage space, making it difficult to place the light irradiation unit close to the nozzle, resulting in a large time difference from application to light irradiation. A pattern with a high aspect ratio cannot be obtained.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and in a pattern forming apparatus for forming a pattern such as an electrode by curing a coating solution applied on a substrate with light, the aspect from the coating to the light irradiation is shortened. An object is to provide a technique capable of forming a pattern having a high ratio.
In order to achieve the above object, a pattern forming apparatus according to the present invention has a substrate holding portion for holding a substrate and a continuous liquid reservoir space for storing a paste-like coating liquid inside, A housing part provided on the lower surface with a plurality of discharge ports communicating with the reservoir space, and pressurizing the coating liquid stored in the liquid reservoir space to supply the coating liquid from the plurality of discharge ports to the substrate holding unit A pressurizing part that continuously discharges toward the held substrate, a light source that makes light incident on a light incident part provided on a side surface or an upper surface of the casing part, and a wall body of the casing part. A light guide that guides the light incident on the light incident portion to a position adjacent to the discharge port on the lower surface of the casing adjacent to the discharge port and irradiates the coating liquid applied to the substrate with light. Member, the housing part and the substrate holding part. It is characterized in that it comprises a moving unit for relatively moving the substrate that has been.
In the invention configured as described above, the light incident on the light incident portion on the side surface or the upper surface of the housing portion passes through the light guide member provided in the wall of the housing portion, and the substrate from the position adjacent to the discharge port on the lower surface. Irradiated to the coating solution applied to. In this way, the incident light is guided to the position adjacent to the discharge port by the light guide member provided in the wall of the housing unit, so that the light with a short time difference is applied to the coating liquid discharged from the discharge port and applied to the substrate. And a pattern having a high aspect ratio can be formed.
Here, the plurality of discharge ports may be arranged in a row in a direction intersecting the relative movement direction of the housing unit and the substrate by the moving unit. In this way, a large number of linear patterns parallel to each other can be formed by a single relative movement of the casing and the substrate.
In addition, for example, the light guide member includes a plurality of optical fibers that extend from the light incident portion to the position adjacent to the discharge port through the inside of the wall of the housing unit, and faces downward from the end surface of the optical fiber at the position adjacent to the discharge port. It is good also as a structure which radiate | emits light. In such a configuration, since the light incident from the light incident portion is guided to the position adjacent to the discharge port by the optical fiber, the loss of light is small, and the light path can be bent as necessary.
In this case, for example, the end faces of the plurality of optical fibers may be arranged in a line along the arrangement direction of the plurality of discharge ports at the position adjacent to the discharge ports. If it does in this way, light can be irradiated with respect to the whole coating liquid each discharged from a some discharge outlet.
Further, for example, the casing may be a syringe having a direction toward the substrate held by the substrate holding unit as an axial direction and a plurality of discharge ports formed in the bottom surface. In such a configuration, a substantially uniform discharge pressure can be obtained at each discharge port by pressurizing the coating solution in the syringe, and the amount of the coating solution discharged from each discharge port can be made uniform.
According to the pattern forming apparatus of the present invention, since the light is guided through the wall of the housing portion in which a plurality of discharge ports are provided on the lower surface and stores the coating liquid, the coating liquid is close to the discharging port. It is possible to irradiate light, and it is possible to perform from application of the coating liquid to light irradiation in a short time, and a pattern with a high aspect ratio can be formed.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an embodiment of a pattern forming apparatus according to the present invention. The
In this
The stage moving mechanism 2 is rotated around an X

FIG. 2 is a view showing the appearance of the coating head section. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing the internal structure of the coating head. More specifically, FIG. 2A is a view of the
The
A
As the coating solution, a paste-like mixed solution having conductivity and photocurability, for example, containing conductive particles, an organic vehicle (a mixture of solvent, resin, thickener, etc.) and a photopolymerization initiator is used. it can. The conductive particles are, for example, silver powder as a material of the electrode, and the organic vehicle contains ethyl cellulose as a resin material and an organic solvent. Further, the viscosity of the coating solution is preferably, for example, 50 Pa · s (pascal second) or less before performing the curing process by light irradiation, and is preferably 350 Pa · s or more after performing the curing process.
Such a paste-like coating liquid has a property that its viscosity temporarily changes when shearing stress is applied, and variation in the viscosity of the coating liquid in the vicinity of each
In this
Moreover, as shown in FIG. 1, in this embodiment, the
Another
FIG. 4 is a view showing an arrangement state of the optical fiber cable in the tank wall. The
For this reason, the light emitted from the
FIG. 5 is a diagram schematically showing how an electrode pattern is formed by this apparatus. As shown in FIG. 5A, in the
The coating liquid P applied to the substrate W is irradiated with light L guided from the
Further, by passing the
As described above, in this embodiment, the

In the above embodiment, the light from the
In the above embodiment, the relative movement between the
Moreover, in the said embodiment, the
Moreover, in the said embodiment, although the photoelectric wiring device as a solar cell is manufactured by forming electrode wiring on a silicon substrate, a board | substrate is not limited to silicon. For example, the present invention can also be applied when an electrode is formed on a device other than a solar cell such as a thin film solar cell formed on a glass substrate or a lithium ion all-solid battery. Furthermore, the present invention can be suitably applied to the case where a partition pattern (rib) pattern such as a plasma display panel or a touch panel or a wiring pattern other than an electrode is formed, or when a paste adhesive is applied to a predetermined pattern.
