Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting off method by which uniform hid knit stitches can readily be obtained in a state little affecting a knitting treatment.
SOLUTION: When knitting a knitted fabric 1 prior to casting off, knit stitches hooked on knitting needles in a region to be casted off are arranged on both front and rear needle beds. A hanging knitting yarn 3 is passed between knit stitches distributed on the front and rear needle beds so that the hanging knitting yarn is spun between yarn-overs as a starting end 5 and a final end 6 on both outer sides of the region. After the finish of the casting off, the knitted fabric is dropped from the knitting needles holding the yarn-overs including the starting end 5 and final end 6 of the hanging knitting yarn 3.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention relates to a bind-off processing method for uniformly performing bind-off processing with a flat knitting machine.

In general, for the shoulders and heels of knitwear, bind-off processing is performed as a method for joining and unfastening the stitches of the final course of the knitted fabric knitted by a flat knitting machine. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1) In the bind off process, the bind off process may be performed on stitches adjacent to each other in the course direction with either the front and back needle beds or between the front and back needle beds. In any case, when the knitted fabric is subjected to the bind-off process and removed from the knitting needle, the weight of the knitted fabric and the tension of the knitting fabric lowering device act on the stitch that is locked to the knitting needle. When the number of stitches locked to the knitting needles is reduced, the tension acting on each stitch is increased, and the stitches may be stretched and the stitches at the bind off portion may become uneven. As a method of obtaining stitches of a uniform size by bind-off processing, a technique is known in which a transition yarn is stretched over a tooth opening so as to suspend a stitch to be paid from a knitting needle during bind-off processing (for example, Patent Documents). 2). In Patent Document 2, empty needles are provided in the range of the knitting needles for performing the bind off process, and the hanging knitting yarn is hung on the empty needles provided on the needle bed on the side where the double stitches are locked by the knitting needles during the bind off process. How to do is shown. Further, in order to provide a blank needle, the knitted fabric knitted with all the needles is intentionally in a state of needle removal.

German Patent Invention No. 3939584

In Patent Document 2, in order to obtain a stitch having a uniform size by the bind off process, the hanging knitting yarn is suspended by a knitting needle within the range of the knitting needle to perform the bind off process. The hanging knitting yarn is hung on the hook of the knitting needle and is supported at a relatively high position close to the position where the knitting process of the stitch is performed at the mouth. There is a risk of being affected by the hanging knitting yarn. Further, since the knitted fabric knitted with all the needles is made into a needle-extracted state in order to provide the empty needles, the number of processes increases and the bind-off formed increases and the appearance is also deteriorated. The present invention provides a bind-off processing method that can easily obtain a uniform bind with little influence on knitting.

The present invention uses a flat knitting machine having at least a pair of front and back needle beds, with respect to the stitch of the final course of the knitted fabric having a region for performing the bind off process at the knitted fabric end, and the other end In the bind off processing method for each stitch sequentially performed toward the stitch of
When knitting the knitted fabric before bind-off processing, arranging the stitches locked to the knitting needles in the region so as to distribute both the front and back needle beds;
Passing the hanging knitting yarn between the stitches allocated to the front and back needle beds, so as to span the gap between the empty needles on both outer sides of the region as the start and end points; and
When the bind off process is performed, the knitted fabric connected to the stitches to be removed from the knitting needle is supported by the hanging knitting yarn, and after the bind off process is finished, the start and end hooks of the hanging knitting yarn are locked. And a step of removing from the knitting needle.

In the present invention, the hanging knitting yarn is an elastic yarn.

In the present invention, even when the knitted fabric connected to the stitches to be paid from the knitting needles by the bind off processing is supported by the hanging knitting yarn, the hanging knitting yarn has a start end and an end outside the area where the bind off processing is performed. By supporting the knitting yarn, the hanging knitting yarn is bent and lowered from the tooth opening, so that it is difficult to be affected by the hanging knitting yarn over the tooth opening at the time of transfer. Furthermore, the hanging knitting yarn can be easily arranged between the stitches of the knitted fabric, and the knitted fabric can be fixed.

Furthermore, in the present invention, by using an elastic yarn for the hanging knitting yarn, even when the knitted fabric is supported, a large amount of bending occurs and the knitted fabric is easily lowered. Further, after knitting, the hanging knitting yarn can be easily pulled out.

It is a figure which shows the knitted fabric after the knitting which performed the bind off process to the terminal part of the knitted fabric which is an Example of this invention. It is the knitting process figure of the knitted fabric which performed the bind off process to the terminal part of the knitted fabric which is an Example of this invention.

Hereinafter, a knitting method of the knitted fabric 1 will be described as an embodiment of the present invention. The flat knitting machine used for knitting in the following description is a two-bed flat knitting machine having a pair of front and back needle beds, and the rear needle bed can be racked with respect to the front needle bed. In the knitting process diagram, the number of stitches is made smaller than the actual knitting for convenience of explanation. A known four-bed flat knitting machine may be used.

FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a knitted fabric after knitting in which a bind off process is performed on the end portion of the knitted fabric 1 according to the embodiment. The front-rear relationship between the knitted fabric 1 and the hanging knitting yarn 3 is shown partially enlarged. The knitted fabric 1 is knitted in the direction indicated by the arrow in the figure with a single-layered tentacle structure. The bind off process is performed on the end of the knitted fabric 1 (the final course) to prevent the bind off of the bind off part 2. In the vicinity of the end portion of the knitted fabric 1, the knitting yarn 3 for hanging elastic yarn is arranged so that the knitted yarn is visible and hidden on the front and back of the knitted fabric. The knitting yarn 3 for hanging is not directly connected to the stitches of the knitted fabric 1 by performing knit knitting, tack knitting, etc., and simply between the stitches of adjacent knitted fabrics from the front to the back or from the back to the front. Since only passing alternately, the hanging knitting yarn 3 can be easily pulled out after knitting.

FIG. 2 is a knitting process diagram of a knitted fabric obtained by performing a bind off process on the final course of the knitted fabric according to the embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, the black triangle indicates the first yarn feeder, and the white triangle indicates the second yarn feeder. Black circles indicate newly formed stitches, white circles indicate old stitches that remain locked to the knitting needle, and double circles indicate double stitches. Further, the V shape indicates the hook, and the arrow indicates the movement of the yarn feeder or the stitch. FB represents the front needle bed, BB represents the rear needle bed, uppercase letters A to O represent FB knitting needles, lowercase letters a to o represent BB knitting needles, and S + numbers represent knitting steps. Hereinafter, the knitting steps S1 to S13 will be described. S1 indicates the knitted fabric 1. A new stitch is formed on the knitting needles E, F, G, H, I, J, and K of the front needle bed FB using the first yarn feeder for supplying the ground yarn. In S2, the same knitting needle as S1 is fed in the opposite direction to form new stitches on the knitting needles K, J, I, H, G, F, and E of the FB. The desired length is knitted by repeating S1 and S2 and knitted up to the vicinity of the end of the knitted fabric 1. In S3, the knitting of the knitted fabric 1 is temporarily stopped, the stitches to be locked to the front and back needle beds are arranged so as to be distributed to the front and back needle beds, and the stitches to be locked to the knitting needles F, H, and J of the FB are arranged. Transfer to the knitting needles f, h, j of BB. In each stitch arranged in the front and rear, front and rear transition yarns 4 are arranged between adjacent stitches.

In S4, the elastic yarn is fed using the second yarn feeder, and the hanging knitting yarn 3 is hung on the empty needles on both outer sides of the area where the bind-off processing is performed by providing hooks as a start end and a terminal end. Specifically, hooks are also provided on the knitting needle C of the FB as the start end 5 and also on the knitting needle C in order to more firmly fix the hanging knitting yarn 3. The BB knitting needles pass between the knitting needles E, G, I, K of the FB distributed to the front and back needle beds and the knitting needles f, h, j of the BB, and similarly, firmly fix the hanging knitting yarn 3. A hook is provided on M, and a hook as the end 6 is provided on the knitting needle O. In S5, the stitches engaged with the knitting needles f, h, j of the BB are transferred to the knitting needles F, H, J of the FB. With this transfer, the knitting yarn 3 suspended in S4 has the front (front) side of the knitting needles E, G, I, K of the FB to be engaged with the knitting needles F, H, J of the FB. The zigzag is passed through the back (back) side of the stitch to be locked to.

In S6, the ground yarn is fed using the first yarn feeder, and new stitches are formed on the knitting needles E, F, G, H, I, J, and K of the FB. At this stage, the knitted fabric 1 and the hanging knitting yarn 3 are fixed by the stitches formed in S2 and S6 in the wale direction and transferred in S5 in the course direction. However, when the bind off process is performed, the weight is stabilized in the wale direction, but the course direction is fixed so that the front and back of the stitches of the knitted fabric 1 pass alternately, and the hanging knitting yarn 3 is compared. Can move easily. For this reason, the hanging knitting yarn 3 which becomes unnecessary after knitting can be easily pulled out. Further, since the knitted fabric 1 to be knitted has a tentacle structure, the transfer of S3 and the transfer (return) of S5 are required. However, if the knitted fabric 1 to be knitted is a rib structure, the front and rear needles at the time of knitting Since it is in a state of being distributed to the floor, the transfer of S3 and S5 may be omitted.

In S7, the ground yarn is fed using the first yarn feeder, and new stitches are formed on the knitting needles K, J, I, H, G, F, and E of the FB. In S6 and S7, the knitting of the once knitted fabric 1 is resumed. Since the two-course knitting is performed, the hanging knitting yarn 3 is lowered from the tooth opening and is less susceptible to the bind off process. Here, since the elastic yarn is used for the hanging knitting yarn 3, the yarn is stretched and a further sufficient drop can be obtained. When using a yarn that does not stretch, the knitting of S6 and S7 may be repeated to lower the position of the hanging knitting yarn 3. On the other hand, in the case of a highly stretchable yarn, S6 and S7 may be omitted and the bind off process from S8 may be performed. A large deflection can be obtained, and a sufficient drop can be obtained from the mouth.

In S8, the stitches locked to the knitting needles E of the FB are transferred to the stitches locked to the adjacent knitting needles F to form double stitches, and in S9, new stitches are stitched to the double stitches locked to the knitting needles F of the FB. Then, the first yarn feeder is moved in the direction of the knitting needle A and returned. In S10, stitches that are locked to the knitting needles F of the FB are transferred to stitches that are locked to the adjacent knitting needles G to form double stitches, and in S11, new stitches are stitched to the double stitches that are locked to the knitting needles G of the FB. Then, the first yarn feeder is moved in the direction of the knitting needle A and returned. In S8 to S11, the bind off process is performed on the second stitch by a known method, and the bind off process is repeated in the same manner from the knitting needle F of the FB to the stitch locked to the knitting needle K. As the bind off process proceeds, the stitches locked by the knitted fabric 1 are gradually removed, but the load such as its own weight is supported not by the stitches locked by the remaining knitted fabric 1 but by the hanging knitting yarn 3. Is done. The stitches are not stretched stitches but stitches of the same size, and the stitches can be made uniform.

In S12, the stitches of the knitted fabric 1 to be locked are all removed, and the hooks of the elastic yarn hanging knitting yarn 3 are locked to the knitting needles A, C, M, and O of the FB. In this embodiment, the hook is provided only on the FB. However, the present invention is not limited to this, as long as the hanging knitting yarn 3 can be fixed to the needle bed, and both needle beds of FB and BB can be used in combination. Also good. Furthermore, in a thread with good slip, the number of hooks may be increased or the hooks may be formed in a direction opposite to the traveling direction. This is also effective when the weight of the knitted fabric 1 is heavy. In S13, the bind-off process is completed by removing the stitches locked to the knitting needles A, C, M, and O that lock the hooks of the hanging knitting yarn 3 remaining on the FB. Further, the knitting yarn 3 for suspending the knitted fabric 1 that has been knitted is pulled out as a subsequent process.

In the present embodiment, the single-layer knitted fabric 1 has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this and may be applied to a cylindrical knitted fabric including a front knitted fabric and a rear knitted fabric. When the knitted fabric 1 of this embodiment is disposed on each of the front and back needle beds and the bind off process is performed on the front and back knitted fabrics such as the shoulders, it may be applied to one side of the front knitted fabric or the rear knitted fabric. Preferably it is applied to the front and rear knitted fabrics, and the knitting can be made more stable. Moreover, in order to perform a bind-off process in a circumferential shape such as a turtle wrinkle, it is preferable to apply to the front and rear knitted fabrics. This is because the front and rear knitted fabrics are independent of each other.

In this embodiment, the two yarn feeders are used and the ground yarn and the elastic yarn are used for knitting. However, only one yarn feeder may be used for the knitting. At that time, since it is necessary to separate the knitted fabric 1 from the hanging knitting yarn 3, before and after supplying the knitting yarn as the hanging knitting yarn 3, the yarn 1 is separated from the knitted fabric 1 to finish the yarn. A known knotting process may be performed.
