Claims (25)
- ディスプレイデバイス用の入力ストリームを受信するためのインターフェースと、
前記ディスプレイデバイス用のオンスクリーンディスプレイデータを生成するためのモジュールと、
前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを前記入力ストリームへと多重化するためのマルチプレクサと、を備えている装置。 - 前記多重化されたデータを前記ディスプレイデバイスに提供するため、前記ディスプレイデバイスのインターフェースとの接続を更に備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを前記入力ストリームへと多重化する段階は、入力ストリームパケットをオンスクリーンディスプレイデータパケットで置き換える段階を含んでいる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記入力ストリームパケットは、遊休データパケットである、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記入力ストリームパケットは、前記ディスプレイデバイスによって使用されることのないデータパケットである、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、前記入力ストリームのクロック速度を上げるように構成されており、前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを前記入力ストリームへと多重化する段階は、オンスクリーンディスプレイデータパケットを前記入力ストリームのギャップに挿入する段階を含んでいる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ディスプレイデバイスのモデルを更に備えており、前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを前記入力ストリームへと多重化する段階は、前記ディスプレイデバイスがオンスクリーンディスプレイデータパケットの挿入にどう応えるかを確定する段階を含んでいる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記入力ストリームは、MPEG(モーション・ピクチャー・エクスパーツ・グループ)輸送ストリームを備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 装置において、
入力ストリーム用のインターフェースと、
デマルチプレクサであって、前記入力ストリーム内の他の入力データからオンスクリーンデータを逆多重化するためのデマルチプレクサと、
前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを解釈するためのモジュールと、
前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータに基づいて、オンスクリーンディスプレイを含んでいるディスプレイを生成するためのディスプレイ制御回路と、
生成されたディスプレイを表示するための画面と、を備えている装置。 - 前記入力ストリーム用の前記インターフェースは、ケーブルカードインターフェースを備えている、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータ用のバッファを更に備えている、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記バッファの状態に関してフィードバックを提供するためのモジュールを更に備えている、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記フィードバックは、前記入力ストリーム用の前記インターフェースを介して提供される、請求項12に記載の装置。
- 第2のインターフェースを更に備えており、前記フィードバックは、前記第2のインターフェースを介して提供される、請求項12に記載の装置。
- 前記入力ストリームは、MPEG(モーション・ピクチャー・エクスパーツ・グループ)輸送ストリームを備えている、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 方法において、
ディスプレイデバイス用のオンスクリーンデータを生成する段階と、
前記ディスプレイデバイス用の入力ストリームを受信する段階と、
前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを前記入力ストリームへと多重化する段階と、
前記多重化された入力ストリームと前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを前記ディスプレイデバイスに提供する段階と、から成る方法。 - 1つ又はそれ以上の映像ソース装置からオンスクリーンディスプレイに関する情報を受信する段階を更に含んでおり、前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを生成する段階は、少なくとも部分的には、前記受信された情報に基づいている、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記ディスプレイデバイスから、前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータ用のリソースの状態に関してフィードバックを受信する段階を更に含んでいる、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記リソースのオーバーランを防止するため、前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを絞る段階を更に含んでいる、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを前記入力ストリームへと多重化する段階は、前記入力ストリームの中の不必要なデータパケットを識別する段階と、前記不必要なデータパケットをオンスクリーンディスプレイデータパケットで置き換える段階と、を含んでいる、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記不必要なデータパケットは、遊休データパケットである、請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記不必要なデータパケットは、前記ディスプレイデバイスによって使用されることのないデータパケットである、請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記入力ストリームのクロック速度を上げる段階を更に含んでおり、前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを前記入力ストリームへと多重化する段階は、オンスクリーンディスプレイデータパケットを前記入力ストリームのギャップに挿入する段階を含んでいる、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記多重化された入力ストリームデータと前記オンスクリーンディスプレイデータを前記ディスプレイデバイスに提供する段階は、データを入力ストリームインターフェースに提供する段階を含んでいる、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記入力ストリームインターフェースは、ケーブルカードインターフェースを含んでいる、請求項16に記載の方法。
