Description
本出願は、2007年7月23日付けで出願された「Tethered Device Systems and Methods」という名称の米国仮特許出願第60/951,342号に伴う優先権を主張するものであり、この内容は、本引用により、本明細書に包含される。
本特許明細書の開示内容の一部には、著作権保護の対象物が含まれる。著作権者は、特許商標庁の特許ファイル又は記録への掲載に伴う本特許明細書又は特許開示の複写には異議を提起しないが、それ以外については、どのようなものであれ、全ての著作権を制限する。
図7は、メディアプレゼンテーション700の一例を示す。図7に示されている例においては、メディアプレゼンテーション700は、過去30日以内に警告画面702が既に視聴されていない限りプレゼンテーション704の残りの部分の前に視聴されなければならない「FBI警告」画面702によって始まっている。一実施例においては、プレゼンテーション700のゾーンマップは、2つのゾーンを含む。警告ゾーン702は、アクセスユニット0〜アクセスユニット189の範囲を占めている。映画ゾーン701は、アクセスユニット0〜アクセスユニット2876の範囲を占めている。
一実施例においては、ISO Base Media File Format(例えば、「ISO/IEC 14496−12:2003: Information Technology − Coding of Audio−Visual Objects − Part 12: ISO Base Media File Format」を参照されたい。)から導出されたメディアのゾーンポイントを規定する際には、ZonePoint構造のaccessUnitReferenceフィールドは、サンプルに基づいたフォーマットの場合にはIsoMediaAccessUnitであり、(OMA DCFなどの)ボックスに基づいたフォーマットの場合にはIsoMediaByteOffsetである。次の表記は、「ISO/IEC 14496−1 :2004, Subpart 3: Information Technology − Coding of Audio−Visual Objects」に定義されている構文記述言語(SDL)におけるものである。
Claims (20)
- 第1電子コンテンツ片をパッケージングする方法であって、
前記第1電子コンテンツ片内に複数のゾーンを規定する第1ゾーンマップを生成し、
電子ライセンスと前記第1電子コンテンツ片を関連させ、前記ライセンスは、少なくとも1つの制御プログラムを有し、前記ライセンスは、前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも一部に対するアクセス又は前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも一部の他の使用と関連した1つ又は複数の条件を規定し、前記制御プログラムは、実行された際に、前記第1ゾーンマップ内に規定された第1ゾーンと関連した第1の所定の条件が満足されるか否かを決定し、前記第1の所定の条件が満足される場合、前記第1ゾーンに対するアクセス又は前記第1ゾーンの他の使用に対して第1オブリゲーションを強制すること、
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記ライセンスは、第2の所定の条件が満足された場合に前記第1オブリゲーションを除去するコードを含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも一部を暗号解読する第1鍵を使用して前記ゾーンマップにデジタル署名することを更に有する請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも一部を暗号解読する第2鍵から導出された第1鍵を使用して前記ゾーンマップにデジタル署名することを更に有する請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ゾーンマップは、少なくとも1つの外部ゾーンに対する参照を更に有し、前記外部ゾーンは、第2電子コンテンツ片を有し、前記第2電子コンテンツ片は、前記第1電子コンテンツ片とは別個であり、前記第2電子コンテンツ片は、前記第2電子コンテンツ片に関連する第2ゾーンマップを具備し、前記第2ゾーンマップは、前記第2電子コンテンツ片内に少なくとも1つのゾーンを規定する請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記第2ゾーンマップは、前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも一部を暗号解読するための第2鍵から一方向性関数を使用して導出された第1鍵によって署名される請求項5記載の方法。
- 前記第1オブリゲーションは、前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも第1部分を再生する前に前記第1ゾーンを再生するという要件を含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記第1オブリゲーションは、前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも第1部分をスキップすることができないという要件を含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記第1オブリゲーションは、ユーザが前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも第1部分を早送りすることができないという要件を含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 第1電子コンテンツ片を受け取り、
前記第1電子コンテンツ片内に少なくとも第1ゾーンを規定する第1ゾーンマップを受け取り、
前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも一部に対するアクセス又は前記第1電子コンテンツ片の少なくとも一部の他の使用に対する1つ又は複数の制約を特定するライセンスを受け取り、
前記第1電子コンテンツ片の再生要求を受け取り、
前記要求を許容するか否かを決定するために前記ライセンスを評価し、
前記第1電子コンテンツ片の再生に対して少なくとも1つのゾーンに関係したオブリゲーションを強制することを含む前記ライセンスに従って前記要求を許容すること、
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記ライセンスは、少なくとも1つの制御プログラムを有する請求項10記載の方法。
- 前記ライセンスの評価は、前記制御プログラムを実行することを有する請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記第1ゾーンマップ及び前記第1電子コンテンツ片は、第1ファイル内において一緒に受け取られる請求項10記載の方法。
- 第2電子コンテンツ片を受け取り、前記第2電子コンテンツ片は、前記第2電子コンテンツ片に関連する第2ゾーンマップを有し、前記第2ゾーンマップは、第1識別子を含み、
第3電子コンテンツ片を受け取り、前記第3電子コンテンツ片は、前記第3電子コンテンツ片に関連する第3ゾーンマップを有し、前記第3ゾーンマップは、前記第1識別子を含むこと、
を更に有する請求項10記載の方法。 - 前記第1ゾーンマップは、前記第1識別子に対する参照を含み、
前記第2電子コンテンツ片と前記第3電子コンテンツ片の間の選択を行い、
前記第1電子コンテンツ片の再生に関連して前記第2電子コンテンツ片と前記第3電子コンテンツ片のうちの選択されたものを再生すること、
を更に有する請求項14記載の方法。 - 第1電子コンテンツ片及び前記第1電子コンテンツ片内に少なくとも第1ゾーンを規定する第1ゾーンマップを受け取り、
前記第1電子コンテンツ片に関連したライセンスを受け取り、前記ライセンスは、少なくとも前記第1ゾーンのレンダリングに関連してオブリゲーションを条件付きで強制する少なくとも1つの制御プログラムを有し、
前記制御プログラムを実行し、
前記ライセンスに従って少なくとも前記第1ゾーンをレンダリングすること、
を更に有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記レンダリングステップと関係する少なくとも一部のデータを記録することを更に有する請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記オブリゲーションは、前記第1ゾーンをレンダリングするために満足されなければならない1つ又は複数の要件を有し、前記レンダリングステップは、前記1つ又は複数の要件が満足されることを保証することを有する、請求項16記載の方法。
- 少なくとも第1条件が満足された場合に、前記オブリゲーションを強制しないことを更に有する請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記制御プログラムは、第1ノードに第2ノードから到達不可能であると前記制御プログラムが決定した場合に前記オブリゲーションを強制する請求項16記載の方法。
