Description
図5から図10には、分光計測デバイス用ハウジングであって、頂面に配置された一列の表示灯を有する様々なハウジングが示されている。これらの表示灯は、一貫した分光計測の提供を助力するように圧力センサーと協働して使用されうる。分光計測デバイスにおけるプローブの平行移動、旋回及び/または高さ調整は、以下に詳細に説明するように現状においては好適であるが、プローブが全く動かない場合においても、より一貫した計測の提供を助力するために圧力センサーが使用されうる。上述したように圧力センサーは、最適な計測の開始、あるいは、プローブに付されている圧力の提示のために使用されうる。さらに、表示灯は、圧力が適切であるときのユーザーへの視覚フィードバックを提供するために使用されうる。すなわち、一つの表示器は、圧力が過度に低いか、あるいは、過度に高いときに点滅する赤色灯とされうる。もう一つの表示器は、適切な圧力に近づいているときに点滅する黄色灯とされうる。第三の表示器は、圧力が計測のための許容制限内にあるときに点滅する緑色灯とされうる。暖気期間を必要とするシステムにおいては、表示器は、システムが使用準備状態にあるときを示すように使用されうる。もちろん、他の表示器信号もまた使用されうる。例えば、付与された圧力が適正であることを使用者に知らせるために音響信号が使用されうる。表示器はまた、LEDあるいはLCDディスプレイを使用してもよく、及び/または、乗物あるいは建物の既存のライト(光源)あるいは通信デバイス(ホーン、スピーカーなど)を使用してもよい。圧力センサー及び表示器はまた、以下に記載される如何なる可動なデバイスとともに使用されてもよい。
本発明の一態様によれば、上述されたプローブデバイス100あるいは如何なる他のプローブデバイスも、プローブヘッド40、光ファイバー束50のような電磁放射源、及び、検出器を含みうる。プローブヘッド40は、光学級サファイアのような堅固な耐スクラッチ性材料から作られた光学窓を有してもよい。光学窓は、光ファーバー束50のための保護層及び均一な計測面としての役割を果たしうる。光学窓は、プローブヘッドのための遮蔽機構として機能するのに適した構造の完全性および最小光学インターフェイスを提供するために一定の厚みを有するものとされる。一実施形態においては、光学窓は、該光学窓が、被検体の手足の指の間隙位置に適合しうるようにプローブヘッド40と同一平面上に取り付けられる。

- 被検体の体液を非侵襲的に評価する方法であって、
電磁放射供給源をデバイスに配備するステップと、
被検体の手足の間隙部位にデバイスを配置し、被検体から反射される電磁放射を受けるステップとを有する、方法。 - 前記デバイスを被検体の表面に実質的に一定の圧力にて適用するステップを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記間隙部位は、被検体の第一の指と第二の指との間である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記デバイスは、被検体の表面とほぼ同一面となるように適用される、請求項2に記載の方法。
