Abstract
【解決手段】
ジチオリン酸亜鉛の混合物を一定の割合で含む低リン潤滑油組成物が、鉛腐食の驚くべき改善をもたらす。この混合物は、第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛とを含む混合ジチオリン酸亜鉛の相乗的組合せであり、第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との比は、リン分に基づき約2:1乃至約1:2で、第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との比は、約6:1乃至約1:1である。潤滑油組成物に全リン分が潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき約0.06質量%未満で用いる。ジチオリン酸亜鉛の混合物は鉛腐食を大いに低減できる。

本発明の潤滑油組成物には一部に、ジチオリン酸亜鉛の混合物が用いられる。ジチオリン酸亜鉛類は独立に、I式で特徴づけられる。
本発明のジチオリン酸亜鉛の混合物は一般に、内燃機関に鉛腐食の抑制をもたらすのに充分な量で基油に添加される。一般に本発明の潤滑油組成物は、主要量の潤滑粘度の基油と、少量の本発明のジチオリン酸亜鉛の混合物とを含有する。
基油は、本明細書で使用するとき、各製造者により同一の仕様に(供給源や製造者の所在地とは無関係に)製造され、同じ製造者の仕様を満たし、かつ独特の処方、製造物確認番号またはその両方によって識別される潤滑油成分である基材油または基材油のブレンドと定義される。蒸留、溶剤精製、水素処理、オリゴマー化、エステル化および再精製を含むが、それらに限定されない各種の異なる方法を用いて、基材油を製造することができる。再精製基材油には、製造、汚染もしくは以前の使用によって混入した物質が実質的に含まれない。本発明の基油は、任意の天然又は合成の潤滑油基油留分であってよく、特には、動粘度が摂氏100度(℃)で約4センチストークス(cSt)乃至約20cStのものである。炭化水素合成油としては例えば、エチレンの重合により製造された油、ポリアルファオレフィン又はPAO、あるいはフィッシャー・トロプシュ法のような一酸化炭素ガスと水素ガスを用いた炭化水素合成法により製造された油を挙げることができる。好ましい基油は、重質留分を含む場合でもその量が僅かである、例えば粘度が約100℃で約20cSt以上の潤滑油留分を殆ど含むことのない油である。基油として使用される油は、所望の最終用途および完成油の添加剤に応じて選択されるかまたはブレンドされて、所望のグレードのエンジン油、例えばSAE粘度グレードが0W、0W−20、0W−30、0W−40、0W−50、0W−60、5W、5W−20、5W−30、5W−40、5W−50、5W−60、10W、10W−20、10W−30、10W−40、10W−50、15W、15W−20、15W−30又は15W−40の潤滑油組成物となる。

以下の添加剤成分は、本発明の潤滑油添加剤と組み合わせて好ましく用いることができる成分の例である。本発明を説明するためにこれら添加剤の例を記載するのであって、これらは本発明を限定しようとするものではない。
1)フェノール型(フェノール系)酸化防止剤:4,4’−メチレンビス(2,6−ジ−tert−ブチルフェノール)、4,4’−ビス(2,6−ジ−tert−ブチルフェノール)、4,4’−ビス(2−メチル−6−tert−ブチルフェノール)、2,2’−メチレンビス(4−メチル−6−tert−ブチルフェノール)、4,4’−ブチリデンビス(3−メチル−6−tert−ブチルフェノール)、4,4’−イソプロピリデンビス(2,6−ジ−tert−ブチルフェノール)、2,2’−メチレンビス(4−メチル−6−ノニルフェノール)、2,2’−イソブチリデンビス(4,6−ジメチルフェノール)、2,2’−メチレンビス(4−メチル−6−シクロヘキシルフェノール)、2,6−ジ−tert−ブチル−4−メチルフェノール、2,6−ジ−tert−ブチル−4−エチルフェノール、2,4−ジメチル−6−tert−ブチルフェノール、2,6−ジ−tert−α−ジメチルアミノ−p−クレゾール、2,6−ジ−tert−4−(N,N’−ジメチルアミノメチルフェノール)、4,4’−チオビス(2−メチル−6−tert−ブチルフェノール)、2,2’−チオビス(4−メチル−6−tert−ブチルフェノール)、ビス(3−メチル−4−ヒドロキシ−5−tert−ブチルベンジル)−スルフィド、およびビス(3,5−ジ−tert−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシベンジル)。
1)非イオン性ポリオキシエチレン界面活性剤:ポリオキシエチレンラウリルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレン高級アルコールエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンノニルフェニルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンオクチルフェニルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンオクチルステアリルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンオレイルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンソルビトールモノステアレート、ポリオキシエチレンソルビトールモノオレエート、およびポリエチレングリコールモノオレエート。
ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛(0.24質量%、第一級)と、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛(0.15質量%、第二級)と、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛(0.39質量%、アリール)との0.78質量%混合物を、潤滑粘度のII種基油とブレンドすることにより、本発明の低リン潤滑油組成物を製造した。ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛と、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との比は、リン分に基づき約1:1であった。ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛の混合物と、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との比は、リン分に基づき約2:1であった。ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛と、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛と、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との三元混合物での比は、リン分に基づき1:1:1であった。製造した潤滑油組成物中のリンの質量%は、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき約0.06質量%未満であった。さらに、硫黄分および硫酸灰分はそれぞれ、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づいて0.2質量%、0.8質量%であった。潤滑油組成物%は、分子量(MW)1200のイソブチレンビスコハク酸イミド分散剤、MW2300のイソブチレンビスコハク酸イミド分散剤、中性スルホネート清浄剤、過塩基性カルシウムフェネート、モリブデン酸化防止剤、ジフェニルアミン酸化防止剤、フェノール系酸化防止剤、消泡剤、流動点降下剤および粘度指数向上剤を含んで100質量%の潤滑油組成物とした。
ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物の代わりに、アリールビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛約1.16質量%のみを添加したこと以外は、実施例1に従って比較例Aを製造した。
ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物の代わりに、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛約0.46質量%のみを添加したこと以外は、実施例1に従って比較例Bを製造した。
ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物の代わりに、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛約0.71質量%のみを添加したこと以外は、実施例1に従って比較例Cを製造した。
ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物の代わりに、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物約0.81質量%を、約1:1の比で添加したこと以外は、実施例1に従って比較例Dを製造した。
ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物の代わりに、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物約0.94質量%を、約1:1の比で添加したこと以外は、実施例1に従って比較例Eを製造した。
ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(ドデシルフェニル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物の代わりに、ビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−エチル−1−ヘキシル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛とビス(O,O’−ジ−(2−ブチル/4−メチル−2−ペンチル)ジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物約0.59質量%を、約1:1の比で添加したこと以外は、実施例1に従って比較例Fを製造した。

Claims (28)
- 主要量の潤滑粘度の基油、および少量の第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物を含む潤滑油組成物であって、第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との比が、リン分に基づき、約2:1乃至約1:2であり、第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との比が、約6:1乃至約1:1であり、そして潤滑油組成物の全リン分が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき約0.06質量%未満である潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との少量の混合物が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき約0.1質量%乃至約1.5質量%である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との少量の混合物が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき約0.3質量%乃至約1.2質量%である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との少量の混合物が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき約0.5質量%乃至約1.0質量%である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 該混合物が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき、約0.05質量%乃至約1.2質量%の第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛、約0.05質量%乃至約1.2質量%の第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛、および約0.02質量%乃至約0.7質量%のジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛を含む請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 該混合物が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき、約0.1質量%乃至約0.7質量%の第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛、約0.1質量%乃至約0.7質量%の第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛、および約0.05質量%乃至約0.5質量%のジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛を含む請求項5に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 該混合物が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき、約0.2質量%乃至約0.5質量%の第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛、約0.2質量%乃至約0.5質量%の第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛、および約0.1質量%乃至約0.3質量%のジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛を含む請求項6に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛の第一級アルキル基が、炭素原子数約C1乃至約C13である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛の第一級アルキル基が、炭素原子数約C3乃至約C10である請求項8に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛の第一級アルキル基が、炭素原子数約C6乃至約C8である請求項9に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛の第二級アルキル基が、炭素原子数約C3乃至約C13である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛の第二級アルキル基が、炭素原子数約C3乃至約C8である請求項11に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛の第二級アルキル基が、炭素原子数約C3乃至約C6である請求項12に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- ジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛のアリール基が、炭素原子数約C6乃至約C30である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- ジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛のアリール基が、炭素原子数約C6乃至約C24である請求項14に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- ジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛のアリール基が、炭素原子数約C6乃至約C20である請求項15に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との比が、リン分に基づき約3:2乃至約2:3の範囲にある請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との比が、リン分に基づき約1:1である請求項17に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との比が、リン分に基づき約4:1乃至約1:1の範囲にある請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との比が、リン分に基づき約2:1である請求項19に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物の比が、リン分に基づき1:1:1である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 潤滑油組成物の全リン分が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき0.05質量%未満である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 潤滑油組成物の全硫黄分が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき0.5質量%未満である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 潤滑油組成物の全硫黄分が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき0.2質量%未満である請求項23に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 潤滑油組成物の全硫酸灰分が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき1.2質量%未満である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 潤滑油組成物の全硫酸灰分が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき1.0質量%未満である請求項25に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 潤滑油組成物の全硫酸灰分が、潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき0.8質量%未満である請求項26に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 鉛腐食を改善する方法であって、主要量の潤滑粘度の基油、および第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との少量の混合物を含む潤滑油組成物であって、第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との比が、リン分に基づき、約2:1乃至約1:2であり、第一級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛と第二級ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛との混合物とジアリールジチオリン酸亜鉛との比が、約6:1乃至約1:1であり、かつ潤滑油組成物の全リン分が潤滑油組成物の全質量に基づき約0.06質量%未満である潤滑油組成物を用いて、内燃機関を作動させることを含む方法。
